Staff was very nice and room was almost perfect. The curtains over the window next to the walkway were gauzy; while they did prevent anyone looking into the room, they did not prevent lots of light getting into the room when we were trying to sleep. Overall it was a great room with a huge balcony.

Quiet and comfortable

It is hard to rate because the hotel was being renovated. Our room was nice and very clean, as was the rest of the hotel, although it was being plastered and painted. The outside isn't much to look at and there isn't much to do nearby. Perfect if you are visiting St Mike's college as it is literally right across the street. The breakfast area was clean and adequately stocked. Service people were very friendly and nice. I will stay there again if my daughter goes to college -rate was excellent and it was perfect for our needs.

"Rude front desk staff, not given non-smoking room"
I booked a non smoking room and was given a smoken room. The front desk staff was so rude when I checked in that I did not want to go back to dispute it because I doubted they would do anything. "Most comfortable bed in a long time"

"Much, much better!"
I had booked this room a few months ago and then realized I need two beds instead of one. The hotel staff couldn't give me that but gave me additional linens. "Clean and convenient but not much else"
Pros:super convenient, very clean. Cons: housekeeping kept a back door open so they could go out and smoke which made the stairwell and the lobby smell like cigarette smoke. It was the first thing I noticed. They only gave us 2 towels, we were registered as 3 guests. We ran out of hot water. The pillows were really, really awful. Not enough light in […] the room. "A work in progress but still nice"
Our first room was questionable on the cleanliness so we mentioned it on our way back from dinner and they upgraded us to a new MUCH cleaner room. The property is undergoing a remodel so you have to overlook that. The rooms have recently been redone and are really nice. The beds and pillows were really comfy. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. […] A nice assortment of fresh baked goods, diy belgian waffles and beverages. It was only 15 minutes away from Ausable Chasm and priced competitively. The girl who checked us in gave us a wonderful review of the place and informed us we could be discount tickets through the front desk. Excellent! "nice value, nice refurbished room"
Our room had recently been redone so everything seemed very nice and clean. The breakfast was good. The breakfast area was a busy place and the offerings were limited but it was good food and everybody seemed to be enjoying it. "Top Notch Hotel"
The hotel was great to stay, the bed and pillows were great and comfortable, the service was excellent. Only two little issues, the room was not ready for 3pm, could not check in until 3:30 and for being a fancier hotel the toilet paper was very rough-lol. "Low Budget"
Hotel staff were very courtious. However, the room appearance was poor. There was dust on top of everything, including the inside of the coffee maker (lid was left open). Location was right off the Northway, and less than 10 minutes from everywhere I had to be. Check in and out was quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. "Feather pillows and spoiled milk."
Not a bad hotel but we were a little disappointed. After settling in we discovered that all of the pillows were feather. Being very allergic asked for non feather pillows. Was informed that none could be found. Ended up using an extra comforter as a pillow. The free breakfast was basic but plentiful. "Low Rent"
We reserved a no-smoking room. The room we got wreaked of stale cigarettes. There was a used, unwashed plastic spoon in the bedside table drawer right next to the Gideon Bible. The desk chair was grotesquely stained on the seat to the point no one wanted to sit on whatever made that stain. The TV had only 38 stations, no movie rental capability and […] no DVD player to make up for that missing option. The soda vending machines worked properly on only 1 of the 4 floors. This facility is now under renovation and we were moved to a renovated room which was clean but filthy chair seats, old cigarette smell and dirty spoons to begin with? I like to use the stairs whenever possible if I have a room on an upper floor. Doing so however caused me to have to pass though a first floor hallway that reeked of cigarette smoke. "Absolutely wonderful"
It was my daughters 3rd Birthday, wanted to have a girls night for her. It couldn't of been more perfect. The rooms was so clean and cozy :) we scored a room only doors down from the pool, and the temp was perfect (was worried because it was 4 degrees outside) and my daughter absolutely loved the Jacuzzi. The lobby was inviting and very social. Always […] hot coffee available + for mommy :) And the best continental breakfast! They had everything, you could even make your own waffles. My 4 year old desided we should come back for his Birthday next month, agreed is a very good idea. We signed up for the rewards program, by the time Grandma and Grandpa come visit, they will be able to stay for free :) Will definitely check out other LaQuinta's upon our future travels.
