It was a great experience for me and my son, the hotel was great, excellent view from our bedroom, great amenities at the hotel, the staff was very professional and helpfull and gave us the possibility to have an excellent stay at the hotel. the beach is very clean and i personally liked the sea which was very calm and shallow so that my son could swim […] and play without having to be watched all the time. it´s a perfect resort for families, well located and with a lot of things to do inside the area. on the whole we had a marvellous hollidays and we will definitelly stay again in the future! "Hotel sinking very fast"
Upper floor rooms they have mold every where. Beds, pillows sheets every thing smells like some one else's sweat. Some staff members not everyone they need a crash course in how to deal with guests. while room was clean, with each day spent there, it became more apparent that an overhaul is overdue. there was once a lamp at bedside that was never replaced, chair cushions and bedspreads stained, no fridge in room. bed was very old and seeing stained mattress didn't provide much comfort. bathroom was clean as was the sheets/pillows. I thought brand […] quality of liquor was dirt cheap, as were the "juice" mixers. never had a worse margarita. buffet food was okay to good. the restaurant that we reserved was really terrible. the beach and the public areas were well maintained, each day maintenance sweeping, cleaning windows,etc. I think it is definitely a 3 star, but it has potential to be more. overall the staff was very attentive (tipping necessary) and friendly, but 5 days was the maximum time I could spend there. I tried many times to figure out what exactly is included but the website is very misleading. one complaint: concierge is in the wrong business. "Decent for the price."
We got a good deal for this all inclusive, so I can't complain too much. The rooms were ok- old beds, old pillows. Room never really got cold with the air conditioner on. Food was ok. This resort is dreadful. Would recommend that you believe all the bad reviews. This Resort should be considered as a "last resort" only. Customer service is horrible. Food quality and selection was barely ok at best. Only 2 restaurants that are truly "all inclusive" -- both of which have the same food selection. Watered down drinks. Hard to get towels. […] On some days, you can't even get beach towels. Don't bother to ask for any special arrangements for any special occasions as they won't honor them. Can't even tip anyone that does provide decent service (2 individuals total) because they refuse to provide any type of currency exchange. Their definition of customer service is to tell you "NO"....with sarcasm and a smile on their face. The air conditioning was not the greatest. At night it seemed to not be as cool as during the day. This was an all inclusive vacation and the food was not good. My worst experience was the management of the hotel. My son is 9 years old and the manager Camilo denied him access to the restroom even when i told him he got diherea after what he eat. "Hope it Gets Better!!!"
Every day we had to call for wash cloth. The balcony sliding door handle was broking. I asked them about repairing it. They repaired it the first day about the next day it was broken again. We had to put a pole behind the sliding door so nobody would break in. The room smelled like mildew the whole time we was there. The package we had was All-inclusive […] but they started charging us for three days when we have been getting it free. then they went back to free drinks! Everytime we book at this hotel we gets a free day pass to other hotels. When we first arrived there they said we can get a free day pass whenever we wants to visit other hotels. Two days later when I went to get the day pass for all eight of us, they said we had to pay $25 per person. Now I've been staying at this hotel every year since 2008 and went twice in 2012 and now I invited 7 of my friends to come with us on this trip. "Would not recommend"
We were very dissatisfied with this hotel. First night we did not have AC in our room and had to sleep with our balcony door open. There was not minibar in the room and no way to get ice unless we went to a bar or one of the restaraunts. This was supposed to be all inclusive and I did not think that was accomplished. The food in the few places we ate […] was not very good at all for any meal. The condition of the beach area was pretty nice and the bartenders the pool and bar were very nice. "Worse hotel experience ever"
I got to the hotel to find lots of drunk Russians and Brazillians around the lobby area, not a great site for my kids. Then the hotel would not honor the 300 dollar voucher that I was suppose to get to use in the hotel while there. The food was less then desireable, and the staff would ignor you if you had not left them a tip on your previous visit, […] even though it is supposed to be an all inclusive, including the tips. I have been in 2011 in the same hotel and at same time, I could realziae that some services offered in the first time were excluded in 2012, such as icecream for children, use of the pool close to Grand Oasis, use of chair close to these pool, some restaurants turned exclusively to Grand Beach, although they were always empty!!!. Check in is at 3pm and we got there early. They gave us bands so we could go through the hotel. At 3 pm they gave us our keys and we go upstairs to find one of the rooms is still dirty with the old occupants items and trash. We we waited until 5pm to check in. Having an issue with stair climbing, i would caution everyone it is extremely hard and in a few areas impossible to bypass the stairs completely.... "Paying for an Upgrade a Must"
Initially I was extremely disappointed with Oasis Palm. I didn't get my ocean view or my king bed, and the rooms were old, tiny, and shabby. We were told the big pool, the day beds, and several of the dining options were not open to us. So we upgraded to "Grand Oasis Palm", for a fee of course, moved rooms, and had the whole facility at our disposal. […] Grand Oasis also included room service and a mini bar in the room. The food wasn't any better but you had several more options. The elevators in the Grand were tiny, non air conditioned, and took forever. If you're looking for waves and deep water this is not the beach for you, the hotel is next to an inlet, lots of boats coming through so the area to swim is roped off and the water only waist high. Waves only when the boats go by, but good for kids and wildlife buffs...saw puffer fish, a sting ray, crabs, and lots of other interesting fish, hardly any shells though. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Spend the extra money and stay elsewhere. During our stay, we were directed to the wrong room, our toilet clogged and filled our room and the hallway with water, bathroom light broke, and slipped on a puddle of water in the lobby with no wet floor sign. I called maintenance to fix the toilet, they hung […] up on me, called again and said they will send someone. The floor was over flooded with water that went into the hallway and someone did not help me until I went downstairs and made a scene. They were only concerned to help when they found out the water went into the hallway. Next night when the bathroom light broke I called, they hung up on me again. Called again and said someone will fix it. Waited 3 hours so I went downstairs and they said there is nothing they can do, and that I would have to speak to guest services. I did not feel like dealing with any of their crap anymore so my fiance and I showered in the dark the remainder of our stay. The light was still not fixed when I left. This is a cheap place that will just ruin your vacation as it did ours. Management was not always around, and when I was able to speak to someone once, they were not very accommodating.
