Hotel, restaurant, and bar staff were some of the hardest working, helpful people I've met. They really had their hands full with it being spring break but never stopped working hard to take care of their guests. They wasted my time trying to sell me excursions and never did give me a confirmation number on that first day so I had to go back the day we checked out. 3) The restaurants never seemed to be open when we were ready to eat so we ended up eating at the buffets every meal. However, the buffets were very good - lots of variety and we also got to eat at the Sushi Bar which was excellent. 4) Didn't have a remote for our TV or a clock radio. Asked Front Desk for both 2x but never got them. This was a ladies only trip. Since it was Spring Break, the majority of the guests were college students. "Would not return to this Oasis Resort"
We have stayed at several resorts over the last 10 years and at other Oasis resorts and were please with the resorts, not the case at the Oasis Palm. We came to the Oasis Palm for out 10th anniversary, we were given an "upgraded" room at the Grand Oasis Palm, the room had an overpowering odor of ammonia and instead of a balcony the exhaust from the […] kitchen below blew directly at our window. It was from a restaurant we were not allowed to eat at. The buffet we were allowed to eat at was boring, lacked flavor and selection. Only nice restaurant was booked up with reservations by 7:30am. I went to secure a reservation at 10:00am and my request brought laughter to two people at the concierge. After 2 days of buffet I began trying to make some meals for us out of the bland food laid out in the buffet. Beach was nice but too narrow for the resort. All chairs had towels on them by 8:00am. They indicate that the resort is all-inclusive. However, there are many charges that are included upon arrival. We had to pay extra for a safe in our room. Internet and local calls were also an additional charge. Some of the restaurants were an additional charge as well. Depending of the color of your wrist band indicated if you received service at […] some of the snack stands. When the worker would say that you could not have something from their cart, it was not a good feeling to be turned away. The room was small and the air conditioner did not work. On top of that, the toilet did not flush half of the time. We did report the problem to the front desk and they did not correct the problem. My husband had to fix the toilet himself. The doors to the entry, closets and cabinets were falling off the hinges and most didn't open and shut. when you sit at the restaurants you get a view of the pool and all the drunk topless drunk women that ranged from 20 to 80. the restaurants were hard to find. I have to say the Beach was Beautiful and calm. The lights in the hallways did not work at night which was pretty scary. One thing they don't explain is that you walk in the rooms you have to put your key in the slot next to the door to make your lights come on. the furniture was old. I have stayed at other Oasis properties in other locations and loved them, this one I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!
