Extremely convenient to the Metro - station access from the hotel lobbyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great view at the center of everything"
I spent four days at the chateau Champlain for a convention, and discovering how its connected to the Gare Centrale and the Bonaventure Metro Station made getting around extremely easy. I was greeted by the concierge and given my key in minutes upon arriving, and the staff has been very quick to respond to our requests. I especially enjoyed the fitness […] facilities, like the pool and jacuzzi. I haven't swam in years admittedly, but once I got into the pool, much of that rust went away (some remained, haha). Every day I went there to relieve stress and to just relax and meet people. As for the location, getting around Montreal using the Metro Station (directly downstairs from the lobby) was a breeze, so this hotel is perfect for first time visitors to Montreal. The Wi-Fi is in fact free, but it's not high-speed. If you want high-speed wi-fi (which allows you to stream audio or video properly), you have to pay extra. Rather unfair and something that's not exactly mentioned up front. I got by with the complimentary version, but not being able to stream internet radio in my room was rather inconvenient. Despite that, it's a good hotel and very recognizable if you find yourself a bit lost in the city. If you just look up and see a cheese-grater like building ahead, that's the direction you need to go, haha. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The shower that power washed my family"
Usually I prefer Marrtiott hotels when traveling because we are light sleepers and clean freaks. This centrally located hotel to McGill University is banking on its location. It was noisy and the pillows were few, however, the morning shower which is a treat for the endless hot water was, this time, disappointing. The shower force was set on sand blast […] with no other available settings. And the water temp never got past warm. The shower tile was old. Breakfast was not included. No way was this hotel stay worth $250 for one night (before taxes) . Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
the hotel was great. My only complaint was the incorrect room service I received one morning and not having - several times - room service card to fill out for morning breakfast. However, beyond that, my stay was great. Excellent location, great valet service, great bar, good food.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel... convenient"
It's a nice hotel. Friendly staff. Didn't care that I can't speak French. It's convenient -- Located next to a BIXI (bike rental) hub AND has it's own access to the Metro in the building. In the heart of - what I'm told - is the touristy part of the city. Within walking distance of St. Catherine hot spots. Also, I feel head-over-heels for a woman named […] Karine. I don't think the hotel played any part in that, but it's worth mentioning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"No Air Conditionong"
75 Degrees, could not get temp below that. To warm for sleeping. At full volume could barely hear the TV. Left tired because of the heat. Breakfast buffet cost $52.00 for two!Genuine Expedia guest review
"As advertised, a nice hotel."
Very pleasing. Friendly staff, proximity to Old Montreal and shopping mall, and the overall cleanness of hotel were among the few things that impressed me the most.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Marriott Chateau Champlain in blind offer Expedia"
The Hotel is good but there are not many shops around it. Complimentary wifi in the rooms for 24hours.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Romantic but modern with easy access"
Hotel is well updated but has a romantic feel through well appointed rooms and stunning window views of Montreal. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very english speaker friendly. If you use this hotel, do find the Muffin restaurant in back of the hotel lobby for a quick and inexpensive breakfast or lunch. Probably the nicest hotel my wife […] and I have stayed in. If you need a down side, the whirlpool was neither hot nor very agitated - a very minor inconvenience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Its a great hotel at a prime location"
We had generally a great experience staying at the Marriott. Just the first night, there was 'too much 'construction related' noice that kept us awake.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, long lines at concierge / check-in"
Overall it was a fine hotel in a great location. Stayed on the 13th floor (not used to seeing a 13th floor in buildings!). Only real complaint is that for such a large hotel, they should have more people on staff at the check-in desk and concierge desk... long lines every day made it hard to get answers, suggestions etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed at the Marriott in Montreal on a Guys Weekend. Four of us in 2 rooms. The rooms weren't huge, but they were comfortable. The location was great. We walked most places.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel, but a bit far from old Montreal for older vacationers.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the view, the staff, the room... and the price... amazingGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great city view, but small room."
Older hotel property, but very well maintained. This hotel does not have the crisp, modern decor and fell of some of its competitors (e.g. Sofitel on Sherbrooke street), but it is kept in very good shape and shows no wear and tear. The room we had was on 19th floor with an excellent view of the city, but small. Bathroom had older style feel, but everything […] was in perfect shape and worked well. For value, so so. We paid just a little bit more per night for a junior suite at the Montreal Sofitel earlier in our vacation. It gave us much, much more space.....but no view. It was worthwhile staying at the Chateau Champlain once, just for the view. But I doubt we'll spend so much for a return visit due to the small size of the room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice Hotel, Friendly atmosphere, great location"
This was our first time visiting Montreal with our children. The staff was very helpful, the hotel was clean and had a great location.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very pleasant stay, excellent location of the hotel. Close to the Old Town and near Downtown, above a subway estation and one block away from the train estation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location. Older hotel, but very convenient"
The hotel is pretty well maintained, even though it has been there for many decades. The service is very helpful and overall decent value (when you take into account the discount from Hotels.com)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was a bit smaller than I expected but overall everything was perfect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ideal location for family trip"
It is a great location for walking, exploring, shopping, and taking in the sights. Hotel is beautiful and staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a great view of the city from our hotel room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great central location, nice hotel bar, nothing special about the room but comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very happy with this hotel. There are different breakfast options for each budget. The information center, gray line tours and train station are all in walking distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great valet parking staff, nice rooms, inadequate restaurant facilities, especially for a Marriott.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect hotel. Close to old Montreal and downtown"
As usual an excellent place to stay. I definiely will come back to it.Genuine Expedia guest review
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple nights in a weekend trip. The hotel itself is really nice, but the location is perfect. It was walking distance to Old Montreal and the Port as well as St Catherine street and all the downtown sites / restaurants. We even walked to Mt Royal from the hotel to take in the amazing views of the city. We would […] definitely not hesitate to stay there again, in fact, we've already discussed going back for another visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best area and hotel to be in while in Montreal"
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and was just thrilled about the quality of service, proximity to the main attractions and subway metro system and cleanliness of the rooms. This hotel met all our expectations and more. Will definitely come back here for our next trip to Montreal!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"LOVELY VIEW, PLUSH CLEAN ROOM EXTREMELY FRIENDLY"
QUICK CHECK IN AND OUT, FRIENDLY STAFF, CLEAN AND CENTRALLY LOCATED.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great night view in the middle of downtown"
I attended a conference at convention center. It was 15 minute walk distance but really easy to get there. And one of the main downtown area was nearby. I loved the room with great view at night and clean maintenance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a wonderful stay at the Marriott. Great location for my business trip.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location location location"

"Nice hotel in downtown Montreal"
Very centrally located in downtown within walking distance to major attractions like Notre Dame basilica, old Montreal, Rue St. Catherine.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very good hotel, although quite expensiveGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel, Limited walking distance attractions"
Booked 4 nights for the montreal grand prix. The hotel was convenient due to being literally on top of a metro station. To get to the race you just change trains once and takes you about 15 minutes door to door. The hotel itself is just OK. The bar is decent, the room is small and very generic. For what they charge I'd expect FAR nicer amenities. The […] towels aren't great, robs are like sandpaper, shower has low pressure, room service was almost inedible. Checked out after 3 nights and moved to the Ritz-Carlton for almost the same money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"for business travelers only"
While Im sure this hotel is great for business travelers, they nickel and dime you for every possoble extra. The "free wireless internet" is one at an inferior speed but they are nice enough yo let you pay extra for an adequate speed service. The local calls are also an extra expense. To be out of the country staying at a hotel charging over $200 per […] night I did not expect to get a further bill for almost 6 dollars for placing two local calls to make reservations. The staff is friendly and the location very easy to navigate the city but I would recommend it only to business travelers that have their companies picking up the tab. "Stay here in Montreal"
Everything we hoped for-amazing staff, clean, comfortable, conveniently located for both walking and using public transportation. The concierge staff were very helpful and never seemed to mind our many questions. Besides a full service restaurant on site there were several coffee shop type options for a quick breakfast to go!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect and Convenient hotel for everyone!"
Perfect and convenient location. Metro is underneath the hotel! Short metro ride from downtown Montreal. 2nd time I've stayed at this hotel, 1st was for my bachelorette and 2nd with my husband for Memorial Day! Plus staff was so great from the bell boy, wait staff, to concierge!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Decent hotel in downtown with good service"
The staff is very friendly. Rooms on pictures seem larger than they are in real life. Water in the pool is freezing. Overall our stay was OK but I cannot give my review 5 stars due to additional charges like internet.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Gorgeous room with a lovely view"
It was rainy while we were in Montreal but being able to stay in this comfortable and lovely hotel made the entire trip incredibly romantic. All of the rooms have gorgeous views of Mont Royal or downtown; ours looked straight at the park. The metro is accessible from the hotel - it's just an elevator ride down from the main lobby. This also connects […] to the RESO - the "underground city," that allows for convenient indoor travel to many other places of interest when it's too cold/rainy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Hotel right next to the Bell Centre"
Even with Children, it was excellent. Perfect Location to the Bell Centre to see the Montreal Canadiens. The City view room that we were given was excellent for us to see the city of Montreal.Genuine Expedia guest review
enjoyable and comfortableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is right in the middle of downtown. Tons of shops, restaurants, bars, etc.. within 2 blocks. If you are attending an event at the Bell Centre its right next door. The only minor complaint we had was the heat in our room. We like a cool room to sleep in but no matter what we set the thermostat at the temp never dropped below 72. Funny thing […] was we over heard some people who were on our floor complain their room was too cold. Like I said that is just a minor complaint. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Montreal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for Montreal visit"
Great hotel and just round the corner from Bell Centre where we went to a concert. A 20 minute walk to Old Montreal or you could take the metro that was linked to the hotel. We will return to the Marriott on our return trip. Great rooms with plenty of space a comfy bed.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Grade A hotel in my book, will return!"
I was very pleased with Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain. This was my 4th trip to Montreal an was by far the best. I wanted to take my brother up for the weekend for his first Montreal experience an wanted to stay at one of the nicer hotels. The Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain is a grade A resort in my book. Everything you want, need, and then […] some. It was in the perfect location, rooms were awesome, nice pool an jacuzzi. The staff went beyond the need to show us were to go an how to get there. Also has a nice elevator that takes you right into the subway. If your looking for a nice place at affordable rate, stay here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel, but a little dated"
We had problems with extreme noise from the room next to ours during the stay. All night long visitors were coming and knocking on the door. They appeared 16 to 20 years old. We reported this at checkout.Genuine Expedia guest review
