"Lucky we selected this hotel."
Great hotel; we enjoyed our hotel. All the advantages at a convenient price. All you need is to know their little secret: They have no sign with the name Villa Igea used to accept the reservation. It is the annex of a fancy hotel on the waterfront, the Savoia Jolanta. Breakfast is great, at the main location, watching the waterfront.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to stay in Venice"
Great location near St Marks square, and relatively easy to get to (by Venice standards), as there is a vaperetto stop nearby. Clean and comfortable hotel, and breakfast is overlooking water at the sister hotel around the corner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to all must-see sights"
Located right in the centre of San Marco. Close to most tourist sights. Small hotel, very small elevator, no restaurant or breakfast in the hotel, had to use the sister hotel for meals.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We could not have picked a better location. We got off the boat and the sister hotel to ours was directly in front, a few steps away. The Hotel Villa Igea was up the side which led into a beautiful Square. A few hundred yards away. The whole travel experience from start to finish went very smoothly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Couldn't ask for more."
This hotel is superb. Triple room had another room for my son. It was very clean and the bathroom spotless with clean towels daily and all you need in the way of toiletries. The position of this hotel is fantastic, just off the lagoon. It's sister hotel (where you have your terrace breakfast) is on the lagoon just a few minutes from St. Mark's Square. […] Breakfast is super with hot and cold buffet with everything you need. Sets you up for the day. All staff are very helpful and speak English. Free internet too. We ate at the sister hotel one evening but would not recommend that you do that. The food was not very good and cost a small fortune. Food and drink is extremely expensive in Venice in general, however, the supermarkets portray how cheap it is to buy. I recommended the hotel to several people at the airport who were keen to stay there next time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Easy walking distance to all the main attractions and easy to find from the water bus stop. Breakfast in sister hotel just 30 seconds walk to the promenade, fantastic selection and all you can eat, will make you special coffees if you ask.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful hotel to stay in and enjoy Venice."
What a great place. I was given an upgrade into a better room overlooking the square which may help. However, the staff were great and very helpful. The bed was wonderful. Not worn out out or too soft. The decoration was immmaculate and the included breakfast buffet was very comprehensive. It is idealy suited to see Venice before the crowds, easy access […] to the water buses and the heart if venice but still quiet at night. The only thing that would have been good is tea making facilites in the room. But then I am British and we live on tea. If I return to Venice I will plan to use this hotel again. If it's not broken, don't fix it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable and decent hotel. Awesome location."
It was a decent and comfortable hotel. The location was really awesome. The aircondition was not that great as it was not very near to the bed. But No other complaints. Wifi was really good. The staff was really friendly. The staff offered some services like gondola ride, taxi, free ride to Murano etc. however they are very expensive when compared […] to the prices outside. Please do your research before taking the services. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to main attractions"
Whilst hotel was 4 star it is not. wardobes were dirty exterior and the bathrooms were very dated. The walls were very thin as we could hear normal conversations from next door and also from the hallways. Overall a little disappointing considering the price we paid for this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful hotel, loved it!"
Staying only three nights at Villa Igea, wish it could have been longer. Lovely location, being in a small square just off the main route and only a couple of minutes from the waterbus stop. Great for exploring central Venice, close to St. Marks and all amenities. The beach and Lido only a short boat journey away.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel close to San Marco,"
Hotel easy to find, close to water taxi, nice view over Campo, great period style furnishings and decor, spacious room, great breakfast with a water view, could open window for fresh air, security good, nice outdoor areas and central to most attractions.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small, friendly hotel close to St Marks Square"
Lovely hotel in a very good location. It was easy to find - we caught a vaporetto from the airport to San Zaccaria and the alleyway leading to the hotel was immediately in front of us as we got off the boat. The only difficulty was spotting the name of the hotel as it was written on a tiny plaque - luckily we knew what the front of the hotel looked […] like. Breakfast was provided in their sister hotel with tables beside the Grand Canal - lovely way to start the day. The hotel was a 2 minute walk away from St Marks Square so very well placed. There was a large balcony with comfortable chairs overlooking the square which was a great place for hotel guests to relax for a few hours before heading out again in the evenings (sometimes with the added entertainment of buskers in the square). All the areas of the hotel we saw, including our room, were kept very clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend Hotel Villa Igea for a pleasant stay in Venice. "quiet hotel so close to the hub of venice"
requested a room for 3 as city hotel rooms can be so small, we had a small enclosed balcony, a room with sofa and a double bed room and spacious bathroom, excelled our expectations, would definitely request room 508 if staying in Venice again. hotel very peaceful, yet seconds away from the main parade leading to the main square. breakfast in sister […] hotel two minutes away, excellent choice, but you know you are breakfasting in a large hotel. "Providing a holiday, not just accommodation."
We stayed three nights in Hotel Villa Igea, and after 30 hours in transit from Australia, we couldn't have landed anywhere better. This isn't just a place to sleep, the staff, particularly the concierge, Alberto, were absolutely dedicated and went way above and beyond what I usually expect. I asked for restaurant recommendations and was given a 15 minute […] breakdown of bars, cafés and restaurants with a map and a hand-written list based on what I said we were looking for. When I asked where was best to get a gondola, they insisted on getting them to come and pick us up from the hotel lobby (no extra charge from either the hotel or the gondolier, mind), we were offered tours and particularly enjoyed the complementary tour of a Murano glass workshop. This hotel is a triumph. It is so centrally located, but we were still able to get away from the scores of American accents through asking our concierge. A fabulous hotel that made the first days of our honeymoon spectacular. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent Hotel-Good Location"
Booked a superior room. On arrival we were allocated a large apartment, complete with kitchen, sitting room & bedroom. We even had a piano. Hotel in quiet location although just a few paces from the busy lagoon front. We had a triple room which was very spacious and had two bedrooms. "Small hotel in quiet yet convenient area."
The position of the hotel is ideal for getting around very easily. The breakfast at the sister hotel just a few metres away was plentiful and it was very pleasant to be able to sit outside watching the activity on the lagoon. The 3 day pass we bought before our holiday made our vaporetta journeys much easier than buying a ticket for each journey, The […] vaporetta stops were very close to the hotel and provided transport to many areas including the outer islands of Murano and Burano, as well as across to the Lido and San Giorgio Maggiore. "Great hotel close to St Marks Square but quiet."
We loved it! The hotel was perfect, on a small square with a beautiful church and a quaint little fountain. It was joint to another hotel which faced the see front. This is where we had breakfast during our stay in Venice. Several times we had breakfast out on the terrace whilst watching people go by. The food and service were excellent. The only thing […] missing in our hotel was tea making facilities, but otherwise excellent - room was cleaned every day and towels and bedding changed every day too. The room and the bed were huge, the bathroom was large and the over bath shower worked well. The hotel also has a roof top terrace (1st floor) where we soaked the sun several times in the afternoons. There was a complimentary trip to Murano, which was a great bonus! We would highly recommend a trip on the Grand Canal. That was fantastic and our guide gave us a lot of interesting information about the buildings. Another must: a trip to the top of the Campanile, for amazing views of the roof tops of Venice - on a clear day, you can see the Alps in the distance. The weather was superb - mid twenties every day, bright blue sky - made it feel like a summer holiday. We walked a lot and the camera was on most of the time. So glad we had this fantastic experience. Only snag: coming back to England! I wish we could have stayed there forever! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Brilliant little hotel!"
The location of the Villa Igea is perfect. It is just yards from the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop (direct access from the airport) and literally next door to San Marco, tucked away in a quiet little square. The standard of the hotel and its furnishings is excellent. Our twin room was small but beautifully decorated in a Venetian style. Reception staff […] were very helpful and friendly, they speak several languages. They serve breakfast in the nearby sister hotel Savoia & Jolanda which is located directly on the canal side with the best views. Also free Wifi in the rooms was very welcome. We were offered a free tour to Murano on the first day of our stay. We were very happy with our choice and would not hesitate to go back next time when we are in Venice. Breakfast at the parent hotel on the bustling front in the sunshine was lovely! The room was very small (even by European standards)- beyond that everything was great.
