"Great Location"
We stayed here for the last leg of our honeymoon. The location is very convenient to the San Zaccaria waterbus stop and close to St. Mark's Square. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The rooms are not as large as the pictures might make one think, but they are not small.

Fabulous location in a quiet square just off the main waterfront in Venice. The room was great and very large (we ended up getting a 2 bedroom suite even though we did not request it) and very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and took care of all everything. Would stay again!

"Great location"
Tucked away in a lovely square. Quality inclusions - reasonable sized room by european standards. Within easy reach of all attractions. The outdoor roof area was a welcome respite from the bustle of Venice. Lovely after a day sightseeing to sit and have a quiet drink. It looks over the lovely square and is close to many restaurants and cafes.

"Quaint Hotel"
Visited Venice for a long weekend. This hotel is ideally placed for all attractions Venice has to offer and is very easy to find if using the Alilalunga water shuttle (San Zaccharia Station is opposite the lane into the square where Villa Igea is situated). The Reception Staff were very welcoming and helpful and the room was nicely furnished and clean. The breakfast is served at Villa Igea's Sister Hotel and you can choose to sit on the terrace or inside the restaurant. We chose to sit on the terrace as the weather was beautiful during our stay and we could watch the early morning hustle and bustle whilst enjoying our buffet style breakfast. There was a good choice of bread rolls, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, cold meats, and cheeses with the added bonus of creamy scrambled eggs and bacon. It certainly set us up for the day. The only downside was the pigeons who insisted on joining us.

"Great Hotel!"
We stayed in the Hotel Igea and it is in such a good location :) Get the Alilaguna (boat) from the airport (you can buy tickets at the airport from a machine or get one where the boats docks, fare is 15 Euro's per person). Get off at the San Zaccaria Water Stop which is only 30 yards or so from the Jolande & Savoie Hotel which is the sister (main) hotel of the Igea. A great help when you have luggage. Hotel Igea is 20 yards from the main hotel and is in a square opposite Campo Zaccaria. 0.1 miles from the Bridge of Sighs, which is a lot smaller than we thought it would be. Breakfast is taken at the Mother hotel - very good breakfast, help yourself, with lots of choice. The Hotel has it's own launch and if you go to reception and speak to one of the very helpful staff they will arrange for you to be taken over to the Murano Glass Factory/Outlet (take your credit card!). Couple of things to guard against is:- When ordering drinks check the prices first - we had a Disaronno + diet coke (can) one medium beer and it came to 25 Euros! Street Hawkers - not threatening at all but they seem to be everywhere in St. Marks Square, just ignore them. Finally, take good walking trainers/sandals

"Small< friendly hotel close to St. Mark's square"
This is a lovely little hotel. The room was comfortable, the staff were helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is served in the larger, partner hotel a very short walk away and has many choices. The location is amazing, on a quiet little square just a few minutes walk from the bustling crowd along the waterfront. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop, with no bridges to cross, which matters when you have luggage. There are pleasant restaurants 3 or 4 minutes away in either direction. It is perfect if you want to stay in this part of Venice. The hotel is nicely decorated. Though no night staff are on site after 10 PM, we got a quick response when we tripped a circuit breaker one night about 11 and phoned for assistance. Someone came from the other hotel within 5 minutes, so it was no different from them being on site. We would be happy to recommend it or stay here again.

"Lucky we selected this hotel."
Great hotel; we enjoyed our hotel. All the advantages at a convenient price. All you need is to know their little secret: They have no sign with the name Villa Igea used to accept the reservation. It is the annex of a fancy hotel on the waterfront, the Savoia Jolanta. Breakfast is great, at the main location, watching the waterfront.

"Couldn't ask for more."
This hotel is superb. Triple room had another room for my son. It was very clean and the bathroom spotless with clean towels daily and all you need in the way of toiletries. The position of this hotel is fantastic, just off the lagoon. It's sister hotel (where you have your terrace breakfast) is on the lagoon just a few minutes from St. Mark's Square. Breakfast is super with hot and cold buffet with everything you need. Sets you up for the day. All staff are very helpful and speak English. Free internet too. We ate at the sister hotel one evening but would not recommend that you do that. The food was not very good and cost a small fortune. Food and drink is extremely expensive in Venice in general, however, the supermarkets portray how cheap it is to buy. I recommended the hotel to several people at the airport who were keen to stay there next time.

"Wonderful hotel to stay in and enjoy Venice."
What a great place. I was given an upgrade into a better room overlooking the square which may help. However, the staff were great and very helpful. The bed was wonderful. Not worn out out or too soft. The decoration was immmaculate and the included breakfast buffet was very comprehensive. It is idealy suited to see Venice before the crowds, easy access to the water buses and the heart if venice but still quiet at night. The only thing that would have been good is tea making facilites in the room. But then I am British and we live on tea. If I return to Venice I will plan to use this hotel again. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

"Small, friendly hotel close to St Marks Square"
Lovely hotel in a very good location. It was easy to find - we caught a vaporetto from the airport to San Zaccaria and the alleyway leading to the hotel was immediately in front of us as we got off the boat. The only difficulty was spotting the name of the hotel as it was written on a tiny plaque - luckily we knew what the front of the hotel looked like. Breakfast was provided in their sister hotel with tables beside the Grand Canal - lovely way to start the day. The hotel was a 2 minute walk away from St Marks Square so very well placed. There was a large balcony with comfortable chairs overlooking the square which was a great place for hotel guests to relax for a few hours before heading out again in the evenings (sometimes with the added entertainment of buskers in the square). All the areas of the hotel we saw, including our room, were kept very clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend Hotel Villa Igea for a pleasant stay in Venice.

"Providing a holiday, not just accommodation."
We stayed three nights in Hotel Villa Igea, and after 30 hours in transit from Australia, we couldn't have landed anywhere better. This isn't just a place to sleep, the staff, particularly the concierge, Alberto, were absolutely dedicated and went way above and beyond what I usually expect. I asked for restaurant recommendations and was given a 15 minute breakdown of bars, cafés and restaurants with a map and a hand-written list based on what I said we were looking for. When I asked where was best to get a gondola, they insisted on getting them to come and pick us up from the hotel lobby (no extra charge from either the hotel or the gondolier, mind), we were offered tours and particularly enjoyed the complementary tour of a Murano glass workshop. This hotel is a triumph. It is so centrally located, but we were still able to get away from the scores of American accents through asking our concierge. A fabulous hotel that made the first days of our honeymoon spectacular.

Hotel in quiet location although just a few paces from the busy lagoon front. We had a triple room which was very spacious and had two bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the linen crisp and clean. Shower was modern and water always hot. Hotel was about 5 minutes walk from St Marks square and main attractions. The position of the hotel is ideal for getting around very easily. The breakfast at the sister hotel just a few metres away was plentiful and it was very pleasant to be able to sit outside watching the activity on the lagoon. The 3 day pass we bought before our holiday made our vaporetta journeys much easier than buying a ticket for each journey, The vaporetta stops were very close to the hotel and provided transport to many areas including the outer islands of Murano and Burano, as well as across to the Lido and San Giorgio Maggiore.

"Great hotel close to St Marks Square but quiet."
We loved it! The hotel was perfect, on a small square with a beautiful church and a quaint little fountain. It was joint to another hotel which faced the see front. This is where we had breakfast during our stay in Venice. Several times we had breakfast out on the terrace whilst watching people go by. The food and service were excellent. The only thing missing in our hotel was tea making facilities, but otherwise excellent - room was cleaned every day and towels and bedding changed every day too. The room and the bed were huge, the bathroom was large and the over bath shower worked well. The hotel also has a roof top terrace (1st floor) where we soaked the sun several times in the afternoons. There was a complimentary trip to Murano, which was a great bonus! We would highly recommend a trip on the Grand Canal. That was fantastic and our guide gave us a lot of interesting information about the buildings. Another must: a trip to the top of the Campanile, for amazing views of the roof tops of Venice - on a clear day, you can see the Alps in the distance. The weather was superb - mid twenties every day, bright blue sky - made it feel like a summer holiday. We walked a lot and the camera was on most of the time. So glad we had this fantastic experience. Only snag: coming back to England! I wish we could have stayed there forever!

The location of the Villa Igea is perfect. It is just yards from the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop (direct access from the airport) and literally next door to San Marco, tucked away in a quiet little square. The standard of the hotel and its furnishings is excellent. Our twin room was small but beautifully decorated in a Venetian style. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, they speak several languages. They serve breakfast in the nearby sister hotel Savoia & Jolanda which is located directly on the canal side with the best views. Also free Wifi in the rooms was very welcome. We were offered a free tour to Murano on the first day of our stay. We were very happy with our choice and would not hesitate to go back next time when we are in Venice.
