Great property. the pool and hot tub were great and the on site restaurant was also very good. we did not like the long bus ride into Vail for the skiing. However the bus service was great. Every 15 minutes and very prompt.

Overall, this is a very nice hotel/condo rental facility, would definitely stay there again. We usually stay at the Marriott in the Lionshead Village in Vail, however, with our kids getting bigger, it has become less comforting to share a 1 bedroom room thus was looking for a 2 bedroom and the Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort delivered. These are condo […] units that the property manages and are rented out where although the facility looks a little dated on the outside, the inside of the condos are very clean, modern, and updated with granite countertops in the full size kitchen and bath. My wife and I stayed in the master bedroom that has its own bath and the kids shared a separate bedroom with 2 twin beds and they also had their own bathroom. The condo also had a large dining room and family room with fireplace and large flatscreen TV with TVs in each of the bedrooms. After skiing, it's nice to come back to the hotel where it is remote and quiet where we relaxed in the heated pool, hot tub, as well as the steam and dry saunas. No tennis this time because of the snow, but definitely plan on coming back in the summer. The only downside is it is far from the main Vail village but we didn't mind as we had our car and parking was free. I would recommend this to any traveling family staying in Vail! Read more

Old, tired '70s vibe. Restaurant mediocre. Spa is nice, but, during the ski season, you would think they would do a better job scheduling classes around the ski day. More classes in the morning and late afternoon.

The staff was excellent, the room was beautiful. The room did not have a washer n dryer / and the gift store does not sell any food/snaks or drinks that you can take to your room. There is no convenience store around.

Liked the accommodations very much. Need to take bus to ski, but very easy and convenient. Bus ride back, made you feel a little like a sardine. For the amount this hotel charges per room, you have got to be kidding with the quality of accomodations. My room rate was almost $400/night and this place was horrible. The bedroom looked like something from your grandmother's house. The bed creaked and the bedspread should have been donated to the Smithsonian years ago. Great price, quiet location yet regular (every half-hour) buses come by and can take you to Vail Village/ski mountain, friendly/helpful staff, 25m lap pool open year-round, nice spa and hotel store, massage service, free upgrade to nicer room/condo if you are Expedia elite.

The master bedroom was below the kitchen of the apartment above and was very noisy. The unit was behind the highway which affected the overall ambience. We reserved a one bedroom, but when they saw we had two older children staying as well, they upgraded us to a condo with a loft that had two twin beds. Our kids loved it! Great value, beautiful 25 meter outdoor heated pool; restaurant and bar on site are convenient, with nice choices. We did use our car to get around. We enjoyed our stay at the Vail raquet club townhomes. The hotel amenities are great...with a very large workout room and lots of equipment...a large heated outdoor pool and hot tub...and a nice on-site restaurant. The condo itself was nice enough...nothing special and could use updating, but we weren't there all that much and were comfortable during […] our stay. Note that there are no laundry facilities in the rooms and only select condo buildings have pay washers, so you may need to walk a short ways to do laundry if you stay for a few days. There are also no lifts...so if you're on to the floor (as we were#, you'll get a workout going up and down the stairs The price is much better than the hotels/condos in central Vail, and there is a bus that will take you from East Vail into Central Vail for skiing/shopping/etc., however note that the bus comes infrequently, and if you want to get to West Vail #where you'll need to go if you want groceries during your stay), you will either need to drive or hop two buses. This property was so-so. After reading other people's reviews, we thought that it would be nicer. However, the unit we stayed in was pretty cramped. The sitting area especially was very small with a small sofa that only 3 people could sit on. The TV was small and it was very hot in the unit (my husband got little sleep). This property is near the creek, […] which is nice, but it's also near the main hwy so the traffic noise drowns out the sound of the creek. One nice thing we liked was that our unit ended up having two twin beds in a loft and we thought that one child would have to sleep on a pull out sofa and the other on a roll away. But the loft ceiling was very low and the kids had to stoop over to get to their beds. If the rate had been quite a bit lower it may have been a good value, but for what we paid we didn't feel that it was worth it. My husband and I (in our low 30's) were a bit skeptical about this hotel because it is not in the center of the town and the reviews about the shuttle. We didn't do any cooking but it was convenient to go by the near by supermarket and get stuff to munch on in the morning or for a late snack. The shuttle is punctual, every minutes there is a bus, and the hotel is just a 15min ride from the center of the town. The hotel staff was super nice, and has all the amenities of a 5 star hotel, even offers free aerobics and yoga classes, which I didn't take advantage. I was a little hesitant to stay out on the east end of Vail because it seemed too far out but I quickly changed my mind! The setting was peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. It very much depends to which room one gets assigned. I have been many times in this hotel and on the last time I was assigned to a 1st floor room overlooking the parking lot. Room was tiny and noisy.

Woman who worked at the food counter, a.k.a. General store, in the Club House was sarcastic and unfriendly. Lack of breakfast choices and fresh hot food. Latch in dishwasher was broken. Had to call Maintenance to fix it. Housekeeping never showed up one of the days and only made one of the beds on another day. New York strip steak in the restaurant […] was tough and grizzly. Lugging ski equipment up and down three flights of stairs four days straight was exhausting. Wish they had a ski locker we could have used and on the first floor. Convenient free shuttle bus to Vail ski resort. Hot tub was great. Spacious, hot and strong jets. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. Example: At 11:00 p.m. upon our arrival with no nearby markets open, gave me some free bread to give to my daughter who needed some a piece to take with medication. My son and I stayed in a 2 bedroom / 2 bath unit that appeared to have been recently renovated. The unit had a full kitchen with new appliances and a full stock of dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, etc. The living room had a nice fireplace with plenty of free firewood. The Vail bus stops right out front and was a very convenient way to travel to the mountain. My son used the nicely appointed gym each day and we both enjoyed the hot tub. There was also a nice outdoor hot tub and heated pool that we did not use. We also had a nice dinner one night in their restaurant which was reasonably priced for Vail. We had a very nice stay in early ski season. The rates are very competitive compared to close in and the shuttle is convenient and FREE. Its best to get on at the Racquet Club stop out front because its one of the first stops and you'll get a seat. Parking in close will cost you. Each room is different so its luck of the draw. Ours was OK but the toilet […] was weak and the bed slats had dropped. If your there to ski, then your room is primarily a place to flop and get ready to go out to eat. Free wifi was nice. The hotel bar and restaurant were pretty nice but not similarly inexpensive as compared to close to the hill. Worth a try if there a few nights. OVerall a great value and convenient location even though four miles out from Vail Village. The onl site staff are very friendly and helpful - nothing but nice things to say about the crew. There is a small grocery about a mile down the road for sundries. Its a long and tough walk to the Vail Village lifts from the shuttle drop (or parking) so recommend you carry boots and use the baskets at the base. Store your skis and boots at the base at night. If will cost a little but you won't be smoked by the time you get to the lift. If you insist on walking with boots and skis, take the elevator down at the shuttle drop. Read more
