Overall great stay at this Westin Whistler. The room was cozy and comfortable. The food at the on site restaurant was on par. Relatively good view (8th floor east). Enjoyed being able to walk from resort to village for everything. Some things to consider - although if you're staying at Westin, cost is not typically a major concern but some of the fees […] were a bit over the top (on site restaurant, room service, parking, movies and snack charges). 1 bedroom suite had queen... so close to walls we had to walk sideways to navigate around bed. Found and killed 4 large ants wandering the room. Room was so warm we had to open windows to maintain comfortable temperature. Some minor mildew in bathroom. Noise was minor (could hear conversations through walls and some kids running on floor above. If there is a concert at the ski lift, you will hear it. Spa was super, we had couples massage and milk bath. Pool a bit small, especially with kids - they need ample room to play. Indoor-outdoor pool was a cool feature. Since we were on the east wing (better view?) it felt a little awkward walking to spa/pool in robe passing by the conference rooms. Service was on par for a Westin. Read more

Loved it! So happy we stayed there with the great amenities, as it rained on Friday and Saturday. We used the great workout and pool facilities...loved. The staff were great and we were so happy to have a later checkout, so we could change after doing some early skiing.LOVED it!

Very easy to access to the ski lifts. They have a valet which will take your skis at the bottom of the mountain which is very nice. The biggest negative is you kind of feel like you are being nickel and dimed for everything after paying so much to stay there. Oh, and the shower door in our room leaked water everywhere.

THe hotel is full service, and the location is very convenient for skiing and other activities at Whistler. However, the description of our room as a 'junior suite' implied more than one room. Instead it was a conventional hotel room size with one king bed and a pullout sofa, plus a small kitchenette in the entry way. It was very tight for a family […] with two children; practically speaking no place to enjoy TV etc without retracting the bed and rearranging every day. The restaurant, bar, and spa were good, and the pool was very good- you get in the water inside and can swim outside without getting cold. THe kids loved the pool However it was a little annoying that parking was $34/day and ski storage $8 per pair per day, and ski gear is not allowed in the rooms. Felt like nickel and diming. The hotel was simply not ready for the new season. One day the cleaning came at 5 pm - simply to late. In the restaurant we had to wait 90 minutes for our dinner.

Great hotel to stay for family. we stayed in Junior Queen. The room was clean and comfortable. All the staff members were friendly. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool after skiing. Parking was quite expensive ($30 per night for self-parking).

Got ourselves a vaulted ceiling room on the top floor - we had a great time, although we wish that there were later hours for the hot tub/pool. Parking is a bit pricey (30 CAD/night), but overall we were really happy.

Very nice room - comfortable bed, nice bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower, plus "full" kitchen. Pool small but big enough with a perfect steam room in the men's locker room. Restaurant food and service exeplary! Two minute walk to the gondola.

This hotel is in a fantastic location - close to all the action in Whistler without any of the noise. The staff was helpful and accommodating. When we first got to our room it had an adjoining door and there was a family next door with small children (who were a little noisy). The Westin is very nice. With a full kitchen, you are in charge of what you like to eat which is important if you want to be your best for skiing. The gas fireplace was very nice, the bed very comfortable, and the hotel very quiet, which can be a real plus in Whistler where the merriment can go on until late in the night. We had a lovely little balcony […] with a view of the mountains and enjoyed it immensely. The studio is very nicely designed for use by two. The Westin is not as handy to the Stroll as some hotels, but it also may add to the quiet, and it is very handy to the lifts. Take a wheelie or something if you want to buy lots at the grocery store. One challenge was that though there was a very nicely equipped small kitchen, there was no table to eat at - we used the ottoman, which meant a lot of leaning over. The hotel might consider adding, either a small table or TV tables to the studios so that there is somewhere to eat. Also, when there are hotels at Whistler who valet skiis for $0, at a hotel as "upscale" as the Westin, it seems a bit gougy to charge for valet service. These are minor issues, we enjoyed our stay very much and would return. Read more

I expected more out of the Westin. The greeting and check in was smooth. The one bedroom suite was very, very small. There were dust bunnies on everything (lampshades, mantel, essentially anything flat). I noticed it in the waiting areas by the elevators as well. Even with the thermostat set at 66F, it was impossible to keep the room below 73 w/o cracking […] windows open, which brought in noise from those roaming the streets of the village late at night. The kitchenette furnishings were sparse. The portable hot water heater didn't work, though the Starbuck's coffee was welcomed. I have slept on Westin beds before and found them comfortable. This one was past its prime, ready to be replaced some time ago. It was too soft and sagged. The drivers of the valet parking were simply out of control. More than once I saw them driving cars at very high rates of speed through the parking garage, presenting a danger to pedestrians. One actually slid a Cadillac Escalade sideways a few feet as they came around the corner! That sort of activity is simply ridiculous. And speaking of the garage, this is a ski resort, I would think they would have designed it with enough height to accomodate an SUV with a luggage box on top? Anyone with a box was forced to park outside, or take their box off. Read more

I have stayed in many different hotels in Whistler/Blackcomb, and by far The Westin ranks on the top of my list. The hotel is located behind the Whistler gondola which makes it so easy to get up and ride. They offer a ski/snowboard valet for $8/day. The rooms are amazing, we stayed on the 10th floor which has a beautiful view of the gondola and the […] village. The rooms had vaulted ceilings, fireplace, stove, microwave, good sized fridge, and dishwasher which makes the longer stays more comfortable. Not to mention the beds are super comfortable. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. The hotel provided us a driver to take us to Creekside with no charge. The breakfast buffet at the Aubergine Grill is absolutely delicious, buffet chef will make you anything you want and they have such a wide, gourmet selection of breakfast foods. Their fitness room has top notch weights and cardio equipment along side with 2 jacuzzi, a heated pool, and a sauna and has adult only time between 9pm-10pm. Read more

Fantastic hotel and location to the chairlifts. Rent skis right in the hotel and you can drop them off at the bottom of the lifts. Outstanding room and amenities. My family and I concurred that our junior suite was very well appointed and similar to a condo in the amenities provided. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with very nice pots and dishes and even a dishwasher. Most importantly to us, the room was very quiet (no hall sounds or running water from neighboring rooms). For reasons that remain unexplained, my telephone never worked properly. When dialing out, I would hear a busy signal. I had to dial "0" and be connected through their switch board when making an outside call. Also, the operator was unfriendly. This was frustrating by itself, but when compounded by being placed on hold, it was very agitating. Another […] issue of concern was the fact that my toilet did not flush properly and nearly overflowed. Luckily, a hotel “engineer” arrived promptly and remedied the problem. My wife and I were in Whistler to ski and couldn't have found a more ideal location. The lifts are literally steps outside the hotel and everything the village is easily walkable as well. I would totally stay here again.

This was our second stay at the Westin in Whistler. Everything was great. They do a very good job and the hotel is very nice and clean. Location is great, right at the bottom of the slopes and the Village stroll. Would definately stay here again.

No customer service culture amongst staff. As a Gold member was promised a late check out and was told the morning of check out that I was not going to get a late check out. When I spoke to the front desk manager she was very short and condescending and told me that they had lots of Platinum members (implying I wasn't important).

We always choose to stay in Westin whenever we are in Whistler. The hotel is very well maintained, is pet friendly which is very important as we have a dog, and the staff is courteous and accommodating. Kitchen, the Westin Heavenly bed and linen, the fitness club, and the close proximity to Whistler gondola (important during the ski season) are among […] the top reasons that attract us over and over again. The only drawback of this hotel is the oily smell of the Japanese restaurant located on the first floor in the evening. It spreads invasively and is not pleasant. The Westin Whistler is a beautiful hotel, right in the village. The location was great , rooms were clean, Staff very accomodating, We were there for the National Slopitch and would take the hotel shuttle to and from the ball fields , What a great bonus for all of us. No one had to drive. My only complaint is the cost of parking at this hotel which […] was $28 per night plus HST Way to much. Had we known about the shuttle we would have parked at the ball park all weekend and just used the shuttle. This was my second stay at the Westin and was definately not dispappointed by anything. The Westin was great. Closest hotel to the Gondola. Really beautiful! Went up to Whistler to take my 14 year old twins to the summer snowboarding camp. Can't speak to the area in the winter time because we were there in June but it is beautiful in the summer. Sunny and 70 degrees during the day. If you have kids- go to Monkido. It's a zipline obstacle […] course about 10 minutes from the Westin. It cost about $50 but it's about 90 minutes of pure fun for kids and even sdults. I didn't participate but my kids LOVED it and I could walk around below them while they zipped for free and take pictures and video. Worth every penny! Read more
