While I highly recommend attending this waterpark during non-peak periods, I would caution you that the resort under-staffs the waterpark. This leads to intermittent access to the large body and tube slides. It took 2.5 hours in the morning before any larger slides opened and then it would be open for 30-40 minutes and then completely closed and then […] open the body slides only for 25 minutes then completely closed. Well, you get the point. So if you go during a non-peak weekday stay, you will have to deal with this service. The rooms are decent for the price and the service was good. This was our 3rd stay at Americana. We liked that the hotel is clean, the beds comfortable, all appliances and heating functioned well. The room rate included passes to the waterpark, which was nice. Suggestions for improvements: either the hotel check out time to be extended to 12 pm (since check in is only at 4 pm) or (/and) the water park hours changed […] to 9 am to allow a bit more time for guests to enjoy the water park before check out. We went to the waterpark at 10 am (right when it opened) then we had to rush/shower to check out and move all our luggages/coats in the car, then we got back into the water park carrying all the winter clothing with us. Also the chlorine level in the pool is higher than normal and our eyes get iritated. Around the hotel we visited the Festival of Lights (just passed the Falls) and Niagara-on-the Lake-highly recommend both. Read more

The woman at the desk when we checked in seemed rather annoyed by the questions I was asking and that first encounter set the tone for the weekend. The difference maker for this hotel is the indoor water park which our grandchildren (ages 5-6) absolutely loved. At the service desk there was only one employee to take care of all the customers. we waited on line about fifteen minutes to get the key of our reserved room. After that we tried to get into our room but the keys did not work. The Americana's public areas as well as our room were clean and seemed recently updated thought the air conditioning unit was old and needed to be replaced when the renovation had been done but was not. It was not too loud but it did make the room a bit too cold or a bit too hot and there was no way to fine tune it. The water park consisted of four […] main waterslides and a few for the smaller kids. It was really the perfect size in that it was easy to keep an eye on the kids, never too crowded and a great deal of fun for them. The hotel is about a 12 minute drive to Niagara Falls so it is a bit out of the way. Yet, since many of the hotels closer to the falls charge for parking anyway the drive to the falls and paying for parking was worth it to have a water park right at your doorstep. Read more

I went with my family and i liked that the rooms had microwave and a fridge.. A big plus when you have kIds and a diabetic person ... The rooms were clean and the waterpark was a lot of fun for my 2 year old and my 8 year old!! Restaurant on the hotel not that good, poor quality food and no good service!

We had a very nice experience while we were at the hotel. The hotel was super clean. The staff were so friendly and they direct us to the best ways to save money in our trip to Niagara Falls. At 11:00 pm the air condition stopped working, and we called the customer service. Two minutes later they sent us the tech. Who replaced it whith a new air condition. We were lucky to find such a great hotel like Americana Water park.I already start telling my friends about it, I would recommend it to all my friends and people who preffer a nice and clean hotel with a fare price. There was no screen on the sliding door to the balcony, which meant bugs came in if we wanted fresh air. So, for about the price of a decent hotel, you get not just a pool, but four water slides, a wave pool, swimming area, a. We stayed here for 1 night. The location is close to Niagara falls on lundys lane on canadian side. There are many places to eat, shop nearby. The rooms appear to be old but clean and comfortable. The waterpark is much small compared to Great Wolf and mostly for small kids, our 5 yr olds enjoyed it. The have a kiddie pool with 2 kiddie slides. A wave […] pool but they dont allow tubes. A jungle gym with large bucket but again, its for small kids. They have two types of water slides for adults and youths. The food at the waterpark is e xpensive and ok tasting. Note that unlike some other hotels they do not charge for parking. They have a shuttle bus to take you to niagara falls for $10. Note that they allow outsiders to use the waterpark for about $20 which may make it crowded. Read more

I found the Americana to be on par with your average hotel. Noticeable difference in level of courtesy extended to U.S. citizens versus everyone else. Hotel staff appears to take pride in offering nominal service to americans. Adjoining restaurant offers low quality food at high prices.
