Well, where do I being. It was a very busy weekend in SF. (OCt 2-5) Lots of events going on so that may explain the youngish, immature crowd staying at the place that weekend. Folks have no respect for others. Lots of yelling, loud conversation and laughing at all hours of the night and early morning. I had the pleasure of waking up at 2:30am to the sound of a lover's spat complete with slamming doors and breaking glass....never once heard the manager come up to the room. This place has no security either. I think considering the location it is desperately needed. If I had a choice would never have stayed here. WIll never stay here again.

One of the major reasons for booking this hotel was not just its location, but that it had off street parking available with the room reservation. Upon arrival this was no longer the case. This has been updated since, but it was an unexpected expense that deducted from our overall travel budget. The room itself was quite small, with a lot of things crammed into the space. This wasn't too bad, as we spent most of our time outside the hotel room, but it did make moving around in the room a little difficult. The king bed nearly touched both walls, there was only a fan and the window for ventilation, and there were renovations going on in adjacent units starting every day at 10am. No need for an alarm clock, a circular saw works just fine. Its an alright little place, but for the price, I'd go with another hotel in the price range that didn't charge for parking, and/or was a nicer room.

Compared to other hotels in the area, this one was a good bargain price wise. Seeing we didn't pay a lot for the room, I wasn't expecting much. I was presently surprised with the hotel over all. Previous Ratings are complaining that there is no air conditioning, well, since the weather in San Fran is 40 - 70, most establishments DON'T have air. So, for the location, no air is standard. The breakfast is Free, so what do you want? They had cereal, fruit and toast. The best part of this hotel was definitely price.. and location, Location, LOCATION! Couldn't of asked for anything more. On a side note, if coming from SFO, I would suggest you make arrangments for a shuttle. From airport to hotel cab was about $50! If you opt for the shuttle, it's $17 per person. You can call hotel and get more info. Happy Travels to all.

Three important things you should know about this hotel. 1) They charge $12/day for parking, and this charge is very hidden on the hotels.com website, though it is there 2) The rooms are unheated, and the only heat is a portable heater they can plug in that won't heat a room that they want to charge you $10/day for (but they didn't for me because I argued). 3) The rooms are under renovation and do not have window coverings. When I complained they said that window coverings were unnecessary and I should not care about that. They stapled a sheet to the window, which was unsatisfactory. It's very unfortunate. The hotel is actually very centrally situated and could be a good deal with more cleanliness, care, and heat, but it's not. It's a total nightmare experience hotel.

It is true that this hotel is in a bad neighborhood, however I was not bothered by anyone or anything during my stay. If you are looking for a cheap stay i recommend this hotel. I would request a room on the second or third floor, however, becuase the window and lock out of my first floor bathroom seemed a little shabby considering the neighborhood and street that was sitting right behind it. But, I didn't spend very much time in the room becuase there is so much to do downtown...so it serves as a perfect home base to crash at!

We called the guy at the front desk but there was no answer. Went to find the guy and he asked the other guests to turn their music down - they did a little but it was still way too loud - we went to find him again and this time he got the other guests to turn the music off. All this took about 10 minutes and we were thoroughly awake and stressed out by then. Other noises during the night translated into a pretty bad night's sleep.
