Never having been to Spain, I was a bit nervous planning a trip for 12 of us. We were leaving for a cruise out of Malaga, so this was definitely a bit out of the way, but the price was right so I thought we could give it a shot. Not only did we have 3 bedrooms, but we had 3 FULL baths!!! We had BEAUTIFUL balconies and wonderful views. The beds were situated just right for us (twin beds in some rooms and a queen in the master bedroom). The little market they have attached to the lobby was great for some snacks for our 1 night stay. What a great way to kick off our epic family vacation to Spain. I would MOST definitely recommend this. My only let down was that we could only spend 1 night there. Our family with children 11 & 14 stayed 5 nights in a two bedroom apartment and were not disappointed.The apartment is very large and well fitted out with a beautifull matser suite, two bathrooms, complete kitchen and large living/dining area opening onto a gennerous balcony with views over the mediterranean.Beds are very comfortable and the apartment […] was very clean on arrival. The resort is well serviced with 2 indoor (one childrens) pools and two outdoor pools. A car is estenial as there is no shuttle bus to Marbella as well as to visit the surrounding hill villages & Malaga etc. There is a great seafood restaurant called Christina's right on the beach next to the hotel that is excellent and reasonable in price. Elmed resaurant in the hotel is also very good however you are paying hotel prices.There is also a fully stocked supermarket on site which is very convenient but prices are above normal. There are many restaurants and a large supermarket on the other side of the high way that is only a few minutes drive away and probably a 15-20min walk allowing for a couple of steep hills.We found the staff to be great, helpfull and informative.When next in Spain we will certaily return for a longer stay. Having been an owner of and stayed at various timeshares on the Costa, our trip to Marriott's Marbella Beach Resort was booked through hotels.com as a room-only package for an Easter break. Compared with timeshare purchase cost and maintenance fees it offered very good value, and was certainly the best quality accomodation of the 10 or so timeshare […] resorts I've visited on the Costa. Rooms are very spacious, grounds extremely well maintained and there's a nice chill-out bar with sofas by the pool and a good menu at the restaurant. Easy access to Marbella to the West the other Costa resorts on the East, and close (walkable) to the highly recommended Beach House Restaurant. Would definitely stay again. Read more

we stayed at the hotel for 6 days. The house keeping staff only tidy up the bed and collected the rubbish. They had never replenished the toiletries, mopped the floor, clean up the bathroom nor the kitchen table. I eventually mopped the floor on 4th night. What surprise me was, they didn't even bother to move the bucket back to utility room on the next […] day, which I left ut in the kitchen. The hotel stayed that they would change the towel in the middle of the week in order to save the energy. However, this hotel is absolutely "environmental friendly" - they never changed the towels during my stay. whenever I was in the bathroom, I can smell the odours coming out from the pipe...the hot water is another issue in the bathroom. I had to turn on the tub for at least 2-3 min to let the cold water running off. I felt bad to waste so much clean water. Although there is a jacuzzi in the main bathroom, i can see the stink and none of us was willing to use it. it is absolutely not up to a 4 stars hotel standard. But bear in mind that Marriot is a 5 stars hotel....my family is v disappointed and we wouldn't choose this hotel. Read more

This place is awesome! We had a 2 bedroom suite that was huge. It had 2 bedrooms - 1 with 2 single beds and 1 with a king bed. Two full bathrooms. Full kitchen, laundry room, table for 6 eating area, large patio with table for 6 and full living room. Three televisionsAll tile floors and very nicely decorated. A couple of restaurants, internet facilities, teen game room, ping pong and pool tables outside at facility at well. Gated access to facility and to the beach as well. A real resort! Selected this resort based on accommodation type and on-site amenities. Our stay was over a long week end to relax and use as a base to see the many towns on the Andalusian coastline. It is an ideal location for this. The hotel is directly on the beach. It has a number of swimming pools (in and outdoor), restaurants, bars and a shop called the Market […] Place where you can buy groceries and most things you may need for your stay. All-in-All, the hotel environment was very pleasing. Our accommodation was spacious, well equip and of a very high standard. We will return and would recommend it for families or couples looking for a pleasant environment and stay. If you would like to get out and about, you do need a car or you can hire a taxi, it just depend on how mobile you want to be. We hired a car to see Mijas, Puerto Banus, Marbella Old Town. Excellent resort. Friendly people. Quite at this time of year, but understandable due to the time of the year. Not all of the ammenities are usable during the winter months, so you need to check on this, but having said this it did not interfere with my plans.

When we booked our short holiday it was based on the assumption that the Marriott Marbella Beach Resort was on the beach and near Marbella - Wrong! It is on a beach but to get to Marbella is a 12 klm taxi ride costing between 29 - 35 euros return depending on the time of the day! Given that we had made arrangements to meet friends during our stay we […] spent more on taxi journeys than we did on food!! There is nothing in the advertisment for this hotel (which is fine apart from its location) that clearly states the above so please do not get caught out unless of course you enjoy spending a % of your holiday in a taxi!! Awesome hotel, rooms very well maintained and the hotel area as well. Beautiful pools indoors and outdoors. The staff was very friendly and happy to help. Ottima struttura e personale attento e gentile. Tutti i servizi validi e disponibili. Belle le piscine riscaldate all'aperto e al coperto e le strutture per i ragazzi. Peccato la pulizia dellla camera, non prevista. Noi siamo stati una settimana in un bellissimo appartamento ma Solo i letti venivano rifatti ogni giorno.

pour nous 2 et nos 3 ados, un appart avec 2 chambres (car Pas de 3 dispo). Finalement, un des enfants a dormi sans problème dans le canapé lit. L'appart est très spacieux . Nous avions suivi les conseils de certains et emmené nos capsules nespresso. mais il y a aussi une cafetière filtre normale. ( un pack filtre, une dose café moulu sucre et thé sont […] offert à l'arrivée dans l'appart, ainsi que 3 ou 4 doses L.vaisselle et lave linge)) .Une télé dans chaque pièce (meme les chambres), chaque chambre a aussi sa salle de bain...Bref, équipement, très fonctionnel… Le ménage est fait régulièrement, surtout les lits! Les restos sont sympas! Il y a une épicerie à coté de l'accueil . l'arrivée. Il faut vraiment une voiture car il n'y a rien à voir autour de l'hotel, les locations de voitures sont faciles a trouver à l'aéroport de Malaga.. La plage est très sympa, mais je trouve mesquin de nous faire payer les transats sur le sable… Les piscines extérieures ne sont pas chauffées en ce mois d'Avril, dommage! les parkings sous terrain sont très agréables et donnent direct dans les apparts. Pour les animations, nous ne pouvons pas juger car il n'y en avait pas à cette période, sont dispos : (Foot, internet, wifi, ping pong, crochet, jeux de dames et échecs géants extérieurs et jeux de société à demander à l'accueil). N'hésitez pas également à demander des peignoirs qui ne sont pas systématiquement proposés dans les apparts en tout cas. Read more
