Everything was perfect and I just recommend you to avoid the club melia selling meeting if you don't want to become a member because they don't accept a NO as an answer and they will try to get a YES no matter if you lost 5 hours of your time.

We had a beautiful room ocean front. The food in the buffet restaurant was surprisingly good and varied. The a la cart restaurants were excellent. The waiters everywhere were very good and efficient, including the beach service. We didn't spend much time in the pools, but they didn't look crowded. Neither was the beach

Nice hotel, polite and friendly staff, good-looking comfortable room. Nothing that could break down my rest there. One may find a lot of things there to complain about, but they seem to me quite negligible. For instance, the smell of chlorine on the napkins and suspicious smelling buffet, quite hard to make reservation for dinner, because nobody replies phone call, but you can ask staff in restaurant at least and they will help, also cocktails and drinks are quite much dissolved with water, but, perhaps, this is the way to make people do not get drunk after the hell amount of free alcohol. In my opinion, you don't need to worry about anything and this hotel, so that made my vacation very good.

Overall nice vacation food good not great. Beach great One problem - constant sales pressure from staff Never ending attempts to sell you memberships and trips. Obviously a commission or quota system Couldn't even get a towel without someone going into a sales pitch It really hurt overall experience Still would recommend but be aware

Perfect. Everyone was very nice. Great service, great food, great drinks. Beautiful water. Only reason I knocked off one star was because there were SO MANY KIDS. There is nothing wrong with this if you're a family, but when you're a couple that just wants to have drinks at the pool bar and can't because kids are sitting at the stools, it's a little annoying. But will return once we have kids!

We upgraded to the Royal Service level at check-in. The RS tower was separate from the rest of resort -adult only, Key entry access to our section, private pools & a butler. Very excited about the butler but he turned out to be a flake. He never followed through on any of our requests (like dinner reservations) & wasn't around when we needed him or called him. We were disappointed with the restaurants. Food was bland, not good at all for the part. Had the hamburgers 3-4 xs bc they were better than anything else but still not great. No Half & Half or cream for coffee-they use Sweetened Condensed Milk(gross) or milk. Positives: The upgrade came w an oceanfront suite. The uninstructed view of the ocean was wonderful. We enjoyed our roomy 3rd floor terrace which was ideal for listening to the large crashing waves. The beach is beautiful- soft clean white sand & the water 3 shades of blue. Loved our waiter who happily brought us drinks & food all day while we lounged under the grass umbrella. Priceless! Spa is just what you'd want- a sanctuary of calm. Got one of the best massages by Uri. Staff there really sweet.

The hotel its so nice, but they Don t have the facilitys as pool chairs beach chairs , restaurant buffett and staff to attend the demand on special seasons. We have to do lines for over 15 minutes to seat at the Buffet, or doing a reservation with restaurants. You have to wake up early to get a good chalet or chair for the pool or beach. Even do the people dont respect you have something separate, because theres a policy that says that . " any chair can be with out people More than 30 min." The solution for this its to buy more chairs. The staff its kindly but they are not enough. For the size of the hotel. One day the room at 5pm was not ready. When we order something on the beach orOrioles it could take 30 minutes. The food its good but its take to long time when you order from the menu.

I was not happy of the hotel food, I am a kosher person , I notices that they cook the pork on the same grill where they cook the beef. it suppose to me cooked on separate grill. How can i ask the chef to grill a pies of steak when i just see him finish cooking a pork item such as a pork chop. another example is breakfast cooking , How can I ask the chef to cook me a vegetarian omelet when i just see the him finish cooking a ham omelet .

Wife and I returned for a second trip to the Paradisus Cancun, this time with our 16 mo old girl. Pros: The facility is large, with a large property and beachfront (seemingly the most in proportion to its size and other resorts in Cancun). It's built "out" not "up" so it has a large footprint for the number of guests. Food at the buffet had excellent variety, staff was pleasant and attentive. Pool and beach areas were beautiful and well kept. Food and drinks never far from reach. Gym was small, but solid. Our 1BR suite was also small, but comfortable. Cons: (nothing earth-shattering) High season was busy. And expensive, but worth it for us. Outside, similar to the poolside on a cruise-ship, people get up early to reserve lounge chairs with towels, then go to breakfast - so you can't always find a spot among the vacant "reserved" lounge chairs. Wireless internet? Must have one hamster on a wheel powering internet for the hotel. Forget streaming anything or VOIP. Good for email and whatsapp. They have good kids facilities for age 5 and over, but it's either a package or a $100/day add-on. Kiddie pool area was perfect.

I just got back from Mexico late last night and miss it already. This hotel is absolutely stunning and has bunch of great restaurants to choose from. Buffet is great too overlooking pool and the ocean. People that worked there were giving us bottles of champagne and were super friendly. We were good tippers and took care of the staff, they work very hard and make like $5 a day if that, from what we were told. I have been to Mexico few times before but this hotel was the best one for what I was looking for. Great food, great drinks, great service and beautiful atmosphere to relax and get away. We only stayed for 5 days but it went by so fast, definitely going to stay longer next time. We went to Hard Rock just to check it out and yes although pool area was absolutely amazing, hotel was much smaller and less variety of restaurants to choose from. The music was not as good either plus it was more expensive I believe. I would definitely recommend Paradisus to friends and family and will come back again for sure.

Hotel itself was beautiful, but food left a lot to be desired. Compared to other all inclusive resorts that we've been to in Mexico, the Paradisus was the most disappointing.Other resorts tried to get the guests involved in activites they had to offer.The only activity Paradisus seemed to have was beach volley ball.I would not recommend this resort to anyone. I know I can't mention room rates, but I checked at the resort for what my room rate was per night and it was far less then what Expedia charged us.

Recently stayed five nights with family during Christmas. Our rooms were in tower -3, the main tower, with the ocean view. I am glad we chose that because the view was simply spectacular particularly the sunrise. The property is grand and one of the biggest resorts in Cancun, but it's age has started to show (it is 20 years old). There are several reasons for giving 4 stars to this hotel: a. Inconsistent service quality - some restaurants are very good (Bana, Vento, and Fuego) and some absolutely useless (Market Grill, Blue Agave) b. There are many choices for margarita lovers in every bar of this resort but be prepared for an extra ounce of sugar in your drinks. I got mine right after the third attempt. c. If you are a vegetarian, Naos is your best option with sumptuous buffets. d. The special song and dance shows organized at the Lounge Bar were quite good. The problem: there is not enough space to sit and it gets very crowded. e. The staff was generally friendly. Room service, housekeeping, concierge all up to the mark. f. The beach side was not overly crowded even in this busy season. Pool sides are nice and relaxing. g. Check- in process was a bit tedious but check-out was a breeze. h. The all-inclusive package is good but I have two issues - Tempo, touted as the best restaurant in Cancun is not included, and secondly, only two house wines are part of the deal. Anything else will be charged.

Second stay at Paradisus Cancun. Great memories from the 1st stay, thus, the return. Staff needs improvement in customer service. Only 3 at the front desk to check in made for an over hour experience seemingly longer than one wants to start a vacation. At least provide bottled water or drinks to those in line. Our room did not get cleaned during the time we were there...only 2 days but still. Will likely try alternate locations...unless my alzheimers makes me forget the cons;) or all the others are just as bad... Pros. Waiters at Bana-Alexandro and Jose were wonderful (tipped accordingly;) Location is perfectly central on the strip, lots of beach time. Beach has greatly improved since the hurricane damage from 2005 ?

Overall we had a great experience. We travel at least once a year to resorts so we do have some experience with different resorts. The only negative thing I can say about is is the room I had although it was clean..it was an adjoining room and was small. We could hear everything going on in the room beside us through the adjoining room door. It did keep us up at night. So I would recommend that unless you want a room like that make sure you ask to verify you are not getting it. The area for nighttime entertainment is very small so if you are ones that like to have nighttime entertainment (shows) this hotel may not be the one for you.

Honestly one of the most nicest hotel that I have ever stayed in my life. I stayed in Royal Services, it was way too good. Nice beach, nice restaurants, nice pools, good food, good staff, great bars they offer you good drinks and I found the staff very friendly. They gave me a personal butler and you can order actual liquor bottles in your room too, which I never seen anywhere else. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Highly recommended. But just be careful about your belongings and make sure you put all your important stuff in safe.

We have stayed at both the Playa Del Carmen and Cancun resorts and let me tell you they are not the same. The Playa Del Carmen is a perfect 5 start resort while this one just seems to lack. The staff have forgotten what tips are or just don't care. They stand around talking huddled in groups of 3 or more not caring to pay attention to their customers. There is a lot of confusion like the staff don't know what there job is supposed to be, also seems like there is not enough people to serve everyone in the food areas especially Naos and Market Grill. You seem to want to find someone or call someone over but there is no one around. The Playa Del Carmen location we never had this issue and the staff there seemed very trained and almost like they worked so well with a team that even when one person dropped the ball someone was there to catch it. Also this resort is mixed with family's so if you don't have kids and don't want to see them on your vacation this is not your resort.

Exceptional staff and SUPERB facilities. Head bellman Rauel continues to excell in guest assistance. Wonderful service at pool and bar areas. Food is abundant and selection outstanding. Beautiful beach and associated accomodations. On the negative side, poolside NIPA huts a lot more expensive during our last trip and room service menu options have been decreased dramatically. Other than that, a joyous experience.

We opted for the Royal Service at Paradisus Cancun and were so happy we did. Having the extra ammenities and superb service added to the perfection of this trip. We were well taken care of in the private concierge for the Royal Service Suites by Leticia and her supervisor Natalie. Our private butler, Hector was wonderful and was always available to answer questions and arrange things for us. We befriended a wonderful Server at our private pool named Francisco Terrazas. We liked Francisco so much that we asked for him exclusively each day. As far as the restuarants, I thought they were all very good, service was excellent. The one exception was Vento, this was our least favorite. The server could not understand english well and totally messed up our orders. The food was mediocre at best. Since we went to all the other restaurants by this time we were so disappointed. We LOVED Bana, it was so delicious and the food was fresh and inviting. Our servers were wonderful. La Palapa, the Royal Service only restaurant by the pool was awesome for lunch and the cook there had no problem accommodating special requests! Lunch served each day to our bali bed was so good! The menu was perfect for eating pool/beachside. My daughter is a blogger for an online magazine and also has her own website where she fully reviewed all the staff and property in detail. Bad experience!!! Don't Go Here !!The 'continental' breakfast was cheap packaged bread, cheap salami, and plastic-wrapped cheese. I didn't try it - I value my life. I can only imagine how it tasted... Dirty Pool - Bad Food -bad Service

What a great staff at the hotel. Everyone was so friendly and accomodating. The only disappointment was that the hotel was much older than it looks online but that seems typical in the area. The beach was amazing, location was perfect and food was great. Most importantly the hotel staff was very nice and always willing to help.

Our room was on the 8th (top) floor. The hotel claims that the floors are finished in marble, but the "marble" is actually polished limestone. Polished limestone is OK for a floor surface, but it has a huge problem when it comes in contact with water. It will appear to melt, so around the shower, the polished limestone is melting away. Also around the pools, the stones are also limestone and they are melting away. In some cases the hotel is attempting to fill in the voids with concrete, but they have not caught up with the deterioration. Also the difficult-to-access building window glass has not been cleaned in a long time. Additionally, some of the tiles in the pools are falling off. So the staff is good, the food is good, booze is OK, everybody is polite, but it appears to me that the architect designed a hotel that is spectacular, but cost-prohibitive to properly maintain. One of the things that really bugged us was this: Upon our initial checking-in at the front desk, alter a long all-day arduous flight, we were ushered into a sales pitch under the guise of being introduced to our "personal concierge". Having a salesman attempt to shove a time-share down our throat was the last thing we wanted to hear. By the way, we never saw our "personal concierge" again in our ten days at the Paradisus.

The hotel is outstanding from top to bottom - spotless, aromatic, and care-free. We were looking for a place without hassle or pressure to explore and find things to do. There are enough on-site amenities to keep adults and children occupied. Local activties are close enough to make for easy day trips.

We wanted to do an extended check out and that's where the "un-courteous" nature of staff was exposed. My wife fell sick and they did not seem to care about extending our check out time. The super visor kept insisting that they have to give room to someone else and unless we pay extra money we cannot extend checkout time. In the end we paid $100 extra for 4 hours extended check out and they were least bothered about someone being sick.. Absolutely lacking in hospitality and courteousness

-Air conditioner problems were noticeable in the rooms and throughout the resort. -Food was cold and not tasteful in most restaurants -Room cleaning service did not clean room daily. Had to make our own bed the first night - great food at snack bar - great night entertainment BUT area was too small to enjoy fully - some waiters would forget what was ordered regularly, had to ask for same thing a number of times

My husband and I went for a four day get-away. Beautiful beach. Food and alcohol better than expected. Most employees were very friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint is the "hard sell" at check-in. Hotel employee took us to a desk to explain the "services" we were entitled to as part of our all- inclusive. After explaining all of the restaurants, then offered us "free" spa credits and a bottle of champagne if we went to a "welcome breakfast" for 90 minutes the next day. Not understanding the sales pitch, I foolishly agreed and even gave the employee a $10 deposit for the presentation- which was promised to be returned when I showed up for the breakfast. After I got to the room, I thought about what I had did and decided against going. Even though I should have never gave up the cash, this slick maneuver should not have happened. Do not make the same mistake I did- if you are NOT INTERESTED in learning about a time share at the hotel, don't fall for this trick. Although I did enjoy my time at Paradisus Cancun, this left me with a bad impression and out $10 :(

This hotel was one of the cleanest and well staffed hotels that I have ever stayed in. It had a spectacular common area that made you feel like you were in a rain forest while being inside the hotel. The resort had many restaurants to choose from although not all are included in the all were of a high quality. 3 out of the 7 restaurants were very good. 2 other restaurants were good, casual restaurants. I was unimpressed by the other 2 restaurants (the sushi and tapas restaurants need food upgrades). The beach area and the staff was exceptional. The pool area was also very beautiful and well designed. The only issue I had with the pool area was that the pool was not heated and the resort did not have hot tubs. Overall me and my family really enjoyed our stay at this resort and would recommend it to others.
