I was disappointed by the hotel as a VIP hotel. The service was below expectation. Everything is complicated and slow. Finding a seat on the beach is a challenge unless you pay to book a hut or wake early to book your seat. Everything is geared towards an extra charge,

The best resort I have ever stayed at. Went for my girlfriends birthday for four nights. Best decision we made. So much to do and every staff member was extremely friendly. Salvador and Rafael from Avenue Bar were the best and funnest bartenders I have met. We had so much fun. Would recommend this resort to anyone. Next trip to Cancun will be to this place again.

The hotel had several restaurants. The best was Tempo which had an up charge but well worth it. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. It was 10 course of pure heaven and the wines went perfectly. The other restaurant that we really like was Mole. This one is an upscale and authentic Mexican restaurant. The food was excellent and nothing like the Tex-Mex we have in the states.

My husband and I went to Paradisis Cancun on 2/7-2/15. We LOVED it. When we checked in, we were given the option to upgrade to the Royal Package at a discounted price but were told if we didnt we could always go back later in the week to upgrade. I brought $100 in one dollar bills to tip (unneeded but appreciated) but besides that, didnt spend a cent. House wines , all alcohol and food is included. We didnt go with the Royal Package and never regretted it. I dont see why anyone would pay extra for the royal package because we were pampered so much without it. The staff was always right there to cater to you. The staff was wonderful. We had breakfast every day at the Buffet. The choices were endless- You can create your own omelet with many toppings, there were great yogurts with many toppings, fresh fruit juices, cereal, endless pastries etc. The beach is spacious and we never had an issue getting a tiki umbrella. Starting around 9am, the waitresses would come around continuously with bottles of water and started taking drink orders at 10am. Or, the nearest bar was a step a day. The towels are supplied and are nice. For lunch, you can go to the place by the pool which has hotdogs, hamburgers, wood oven pizza made to order, nachos with guac/fresh salsa etc. Or, you could go to the buffet which had endless choices as well. For dinner, we made a reservation in the morning for that night and tried every restaurant once and LOVED them all. Our favorite was TEMPO.

7 nights at paradisus with 2 small kids. Kids pool area was perfect and plenty of drinks delivered poolside for the adults. We did not do family concierge or royal service but still had a very relaxing and fun time. Staff is very friendly. Not a lot of food options for picky little eaters at the reservation only restaurants. We stayed in pyramid 4 which was quiet at night for the kids.

The experience was great. We purchased an all-inclusive package. The hotel was great, and we enjoyed the restaurants. The hotel staff was accommodating. The on-site travel agent was good at recommending day trips. The guy at the BD travel agency was Efran, and he was especially helpful to us. He really went out of his way to ensure that our family was informed about the many attractions that Cancun had to offer.

We are senior citizens and have been to Cancun numerous times (over the past 15 years) and this was "The Best" experience ever. The Paradisus Hotel is huge, inviting and gorgeous; the accommodations and beach are First class. We had a vacation week in luxury with fine wine, beautiful surroundings, great entertainment, a wide variety of delicious food and ample drinks. After three days we were upgraded to the "Adults Only" area of the hotel, and actually were able to use any area in the hotel and received a lot of extra perks. We actually were very pleased with where we were initially situated in the hotel in a Junior Suite Ocean View Room. Yes, there were a few families around, but one could easily find a quiet place to lounge around each day. All of the staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Most of them spoke English well and had a much better command of the language than we have of Spanish. The internet service was free and we could us our iPads anywhere and jump on the web. We utilized Best Day Travel to the hotel and airport. We will definitely return to this hotel and will definitely book through Expedia again!

Great experience. We stayed in the Royal Service and our Butler Hector was absolutely wonderful! It was so nice to come back to you room after a day at the pool or beach to find a bubble bath topped with rose pedals. He knew just the right touch! The food was surprisingly very good for an all inclusive. Waiters and waitresses were very attentive and we wanted for nothing. My experience at the Spa was great! I would definitely recommend the hot stone massage. It was a great week of rest, relaxation mixed in with lots of laughs with family. Royal Service is definitely the best decision we made and are planning our trip back again next year!

When we arrived we were greeted with champagne and very friendly service. We were accompanied to our room and completely pampered the entire time we were there. Royal service is just that! The facilities were wonderful and the smells were therapeutic! We purposely spent a lot of time at the beach in the cabana and I can't tell you how wonderful everyone was at helping us relax. Thank you for making my vacation perfect!

We were very please with Naos! The hotel's buffet restaurant. We received excellent service from the staff lead by Abraham. We unfortunately had a mediocre room, which sits on top of the stage for evening shows and we had an infant. The noise was very load, but it ended by 9pm. Some rooms seem upgraded and some need some work. We requested patio furniture and never got it. Some rooms have it and some do not. We got three different answers when we inquired about it. Overall our trip was wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. We will definately go back.

Overall, our stay and experience has been quite pleasant. Though the quality of food has been good, variety could have been better. Evening programs and entertainment was very good. During our stay, we made reservations for 3 dinners. Though the food was different from what one would get from general buffet, the wait time for the servings had been too long and the food wasn't really hot.

This is our second time at this resort. The staff are very friendly and quick to accommodate if there's anything you need. We stayed in the Family Royalty section of the resort. We didn't realize it came with a butler, but were pleasantly surprised when we got there! Our butler was Charly - he's exceptional! He took care of our dinner reservations every night and left "goodies" for us on different nights of our 9 day stay (bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, etc.) I definitely recommend The Market Grill. You need reservations to eat dinner there, but it's included in the all-inclusive package...so no extra charges for the meal. I think there's only one restaurant on the resort where it costs extra to dine there. I also recommend Blue Agave! Their chicken quesadillas were amazing and they're open later than any of the other restaurants. They close for a short time at night but then open again 12am-5am. The bartenders make really good drinks throughout the resort! My favorites were "Dirty Monkey" (bananas, rum, Kahlua, creme de Coco), "Mango Margarita" and "Mudslide"...all frozen drinks - SO YUMMY! There's always some kind of entertainment near the main lobby every night. We really enjoyed the variety (Michael Jackson impersonator one of the nights). The decor is breath-taking at this resort!! The vines that cascade from the top floor all the way to the bottom floor, the mood lighting, fountains...pretty much everything makes this a nice, peaceful place to relax!!

I don't think we'll visit this resort again... Upon checking in, we were assigned a "concierge" who was basically there to sell us on a 90 minute meeting with someone from the hotel to talk about a new resort location... They offered a bunch of offers in exchange for the meeting. We agreed to a meeting just so we could get on the beach as 45 mins had already passed and we hadn't even stepped out of the lobby. That was such a turn off right off the bat. We decided to skip the meeting the next day, and our concierge called our room literally 4 times to attempt to reschedule. It was getting to the point of complete annoyance. The food was just ok in the buffet. The restaurants were definitely better but not amazing. The pool played spa music all day long... Like music that will put you in a trance, nothing fun or upbeat about it. Our room was good- except when we got there our fridge was bare and we had to ask if there was supposed to be stuff in it... They came and delivered what was supposed to be in there later that day. Good thing we asked! Overall- the biggest negatives was all the up sells. You go to pick up a towel and get hounded every single time about renting water activities. You go to the bar and multiples alcohols are not included. Restaurant waiters show you an iPad with a wine selection that is not included. The front desk concierge selling the 90 minute meeting. It didn't feel all inclusive at all, and for $400+ per night, that's disappointing.

My wife and I just returned from an 8 day stay in a Royal Service Ocean view suite. This is our third trip to Cancun over the last few years and was the best one yet. The room and facilities at Paradisus were clean and well appointed. We hit all the restaurants except for the Buffet (no specific reason… just worked out that way). Food was very good, service was excellent. We ended up really enjoying the Blue Agave for tacos on many evenings. But, by far, the best experience was having our own Butler. Ivan Silva was extremely friendly and professional and really made us feel welcome. What a great young man who really made a difference in the quality of our stay. He arranged all our dinner reservations and even had a nice birthday surprise for us on the big day. The Royal service pool and beach area are amazing and again, the staff was excellent. Very attentive, friendly and professional. Meals at the La Palapa were perfect! Everyone should have that view while they eat breakfast. We miss it already and are looking forward to returning as soon as we can.

I was totally spoiled, the service was fantastic and were happy to attend to all my needs. I got the upgrade to Royal Service and it was worth every dollar! Just for adults, you have this amazing bali beds by the pool and beach that are fantastic. By the big pool they have loud music all day that doesn't allow you to relax and enjoy the beach but by the pool of the Royal Service area you have a relaxing chill out music that's not loud so it doesn't spoil your relax. The other great thing about RS was the Palapa restaurant that's right next to the beach... the best breakfast you can have

They try to get you on the upsell. They have "aroma therapy" which is more like "aroma (something the review wont let me type) in building 5 they burn incense by the bundle and it smells awful. We were supposed to have a butler he never showed up. it cost an extra $150 a night for a king sized bed when I thought that is what I booked. The service staff seemed unhappy I wasn't being an arrogant American either, I live in Mexico most of the year and speak Spanish pretty well. The beach and sun were nice.

I stayed here for the drink selection and the food, both were top notch, you can drink anything you want it's all included. I reserved a king size bed but they gave me 2 doubles. Also they messed up my dinner reservation which I made early in the day, but they still let me eat and it was good. The beach was closed due to some relatively small waves, but people were still swimming so that was okay. They don't have any hot tubs though, that was a bummer. Slightly older crowd for us (we are mid twenties) but we had a great time. The inside of the building is beautiful too.

Staff:Upon arriving, I was greeted by the staff, everyone I encountered were pleasant. Most staff members went above and beyond. knowing some Spanish is important to communicate effectively. Hotel facilities: The hotel decor was very nice. The lobby was clean and nice. The hotel is in the shape of a pyramid but the floor plan is circular. The restaurants are centralized. The food was okay. I ate at all the restaurants except for Tempo. My favorite place to eat was Blue Agave but was only open for dinner. Not enough sea Room Cleaniness:My room was clean & neat. The bathroom would have an unpleasant odor from the drain underneath the sink at times. During my stay I did notice some stains on the floor tiles and the walls, one of my sheets had a stain (it was changed immediately). I did not like that some of the repairs were low quality, such as, the door handle looked like it was previously super glued and it was loose and other similar repairs. Room Comfort: The room location was perfect. I had an oceanview. The wi-fi was not always reliable and slow. The mini bar was stocked with Sprite, Coke, oreos, potato chips, 4 bottled waters, and 4 beers (Dos eqis, tecate or Sol), if you wanted something else a surcharge occurred. Room service was limited in options. Overall, I had a good time at this hotel. The location and view were priceless.I probably will not come back, I've had an Amazing experience at The Secrets The Vine Cancun

We loved the Paradisus Cancun Resort! We did the all inclusive stay and would go back again for sure! We had no issues getting a chair by the pool any of the days. We had excellent service around the pool - great drinks and someone always there to get one for you. We loved the resort. It looked huge in photos. It was big but it never felt that far to get to the various restaurants, bars, the gym, the spa, the pool, etc. The nightly shows at "the Avenue" bar were entertaining. Short but entertaing. The Asian restaurant was amazing (Jose was a great server!). We loved the buffet too - not your typical buffet. The food was so fresh and so many "made to order" options! Fresh smoothies, stir frys, omlettes, you name it would would find it there! Great staff, very polite and on the ball!

We booked the last day of our honeymoon vacation at this hotel. The welcome treatment was very nice but no one explained to us anything about the hotel facilities and restuarnts. The room was small and and very old fashioned, Standart and nothing more. The main beach area is only available after additional payment, and on the rest part of the bech there was not enough bed. The food was ok. Bottom line, if you are honey moonrs, pick another hotel wich will let you feel that your mony is worth something.

The hotel consists of 4 pyramid buildings so there is some walking,stairs or elevators to be taken..Decor is nice and relaxing..don't be deceived by the word "suites" ..rooms are not spacious..A/C is very loud and humid ..front desk staff wasnt very knowledgeable and professional.The concierge service they offer is useless..the lady didnt even offer to reschedule the hotel tour and told us you can call to schedule ur dinners!Waiters and spa staff are very friendly and professional!also the ladies at the kids/baby club were great too!massage was by far the best we had..the show they have every night at the lounge is entertaining.food was great esp the buffet at Naos.it was a great stay in general.

I had a good time in this hotel. I like food, pool and overall service. But, I had experienced the problem about dinner reservation. It is difficult to connect with employees for dinner reservation through phone. I reserved the dinner through phone after long waiting time, but it didn't reserved correctly twice. And so I had to wait until the seat is available. I needed to wait for 40 minutes.

Spent 1 week here and had a great experience. Room clean & spacious. Bed very comfortable. Staff very friendly & accommodating. Great food options for all-inclusive, including room service. Beach kept clean, & nice stretch of white sand 4 walks. Highly recommend.

It was the best hotel we ever stayed. Royal service experience is a must for a couple ( and ask for Ceaser the butler). Bali beds, high brand alcohol and service were incredible. The staff was super attentive.restrants at premises are just perfect- food is full of flavour and unusual staff like fois grass and tuna tartare on the beets pure. Definitely will come back.

Very good resort good location close to transportation , buffet was very good couple restaurants not so good for my taste tapas place was not so good , Mexican restaurant was really good market grill was also really good , snacks for lunch were very good after all I will go back again

The overall resort is beautiful! However, I wish the hotel sleeping room we upgraded to "Junior Suite Oceanview" was nicer! The furniture was chipped and the beds were awful... The patio future old and dated --- did not match! I wish the hotel took as much time on the rooms as they did in the lobby areas. The food on the buffet was never hot! Which was very disappointing! The kids choices were the same everyday. The outdoor snack bar was simply terrible!

We purchased the Family Concierge package and it was a great choice for our 3 kids under 6. The kids pool was perfect for our kids and the beach was breathtaking. The hotel is older (20+ years) but very clean. I would recommend this resort to friends with small kids. Request to stay in Building 2, 3 to be closer to the kids area and away from the regular resort (rowdy adults drinking). One bedroom suite was a great size for the 6 of us. Food was consistently great. The kids loved the daily shows in the red lounge. All in all, a great family resort.

Tried the old Cancun hotels, have heard they have been remodeled and improved. Chose the Paradisus based on Trip Advisor reviews, we did upgrade to Royal Service. Hotel is good not great, inside in very nice with good ambiance. a bit like a cruise ship, lots of people, many children for which I recommend upgrading to adult only Royal Service. They try to push Melia Club meeting, we declined and I hate this, do not want anything to do with this for our purposes, would rather pay to NOT deal with Club Melia peddling. Food was good, the Tempo was awesome, service was good, people are nice. Room could have been better and we upgraded but was OK. All in all, would maybe go back but my wife says no. but is good value for the money. nice beach.

If you are looking for a bit more of a party hotel but not mtv spring break, this may not be your hotel. Hotel was very nice overall but weak on entertainment and overwhelming guest service. The hotel had amenities however they were not really made available as I found myself having to do a lot of reasearch. The hotel is very dimly lit and zen style music plays most of the time. I would recommend this for couples get away or families. Restaurants overall were good. A lot of options. Buffet was decent but best time to go was for breakfast service. Dinner was hit or miss. Are at market grill and that was excellent. Out of 5 I would give it a 4.1. Like I said, if your younger and want a bit more action, this is not your place.

1.Overall a good hotel, but a family with kids would need to find other things to do. Unfortunately, that can be expensive. 2.On our arrival, we we're befriended by a staff person who kindly showed us around. BUT, after she asked us to sit at her desk and review some maps, she began a hard sell on club melia and then proceeded to call our room even after we said we were not interested. 3. Royal service, which costs more, was of questionable value. Our "butler" as the hotel referred to him, was often unavailable when we called and our messages never got relayed. He booked reservations at restaurants for us, BUT never even talked to us about our preferences. 4. The guys at the pool who controlled Bali beds, often gave us real snotty attitude more than once because we had not reserved a bed in advance---despite the fact that several beds were unused (and the deadline for claiming a reserved bed at 11am had passed. 5. Even though all inclusive price includes tips, many acted as if they still expected more.
