My wife and I recently stayed here for the Sydney portion of our Australian honeymoon for 5 nights. We found the hotel through a combination of hotels.com and tripadvisor. I wasn't ecstatic about the price for a couple of the nights, but we're talking about NYE in Sydney. I have to say that my initial reaction to the room was disappointment. The room was a little tired. The carpet and couch looked like it should be replaced and a fresh coat of paint would do wonders (I also thought we were going to have a balcony). However, the room was nicely equipped with a kitchenette, 2 big flat screen TVs, comped internet, and a large workable space. The hotel's location is also key. It is close to countless restaurants, China town, Darling Harbour, train and monorail service, and buses. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It is not the fanciest place, but after my initial reaction I was very happy.

When we first arrived the Desk clerk stated we would have to pay an additional $50.00 a night for a roll away bed for our teenage son. Luckily, I made a copy of our receipt from Hotels.com which showed our rate was for 3 persons. The clerk after checking with his manager accepted the receipt without question. The sofa you see in the pictures is not a sofabed. That was the only negative about the hotel. The staff was excellent and very helpful throughout our stay.We had booked an executive 1 bedroom suite. It was very large with a living room, large bedroom, kitchen and balcony which worked well for us. There was a Woolworths which sold groceries 3 blocks away so we were able to have breakfast in the room each morning. The area was also great. Many of the hotels are in the Circular Quay Area which is the business area of the city. At night there are mainly only tourist left in that area. The Radisson Suites is next to Darling Harbor and Chinatown where there are many restaurants, bars and attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

The Radisson Hotel & Suites is perfectly located near the subway, monorail, Darling Harbor, clubs on Oxford Street and shopping on George Street. The hotel had everything you could ask for (fitness center, business center, pool and spa). The hotel is surrounded by many wonderful restuarants especially sushi. For drinks by the harbor, try Tokio Hotel and ask for Luis. Sitting on the patio in the comfy chairs sipping cool drinks is absolute heaven.

The hotel and its helpfull staff were an excellent base for our first visit to Sydney . Pity about the unpleasant aspect from the balcony. Had this been better , we would have liked to enjoy an apperative there prior to strolling down to Darling Harbour for the evening meal. The only other complaint was the frosted design across the mirror in the make-up area of the bathroom , making the mirror suitable only for ladies of over 6 feet tall (mine is 5 foot 2"). Great city and an excellent new person on reception from the UK.

The hotel in in a very location for visiting Sydney next to Darling Harbour for restaurants and entertainment and just off the main shopping area. If you are looking for a mid range quality hotel in a good location this is a good option. The only thing that we found with the hotel was that it was a bit noisy. (I think we ended up next to the housekeeping cupboard.) The room service food was also of good quality and value.

Since we were travelling with a toddler we opted for the kitchen suite and were quite satisfied with the facilities. The hotel is very conveniently located next to ChinaTown and is very close to most public transportation. However we had a rental car (since we needed a child seat for our toddler) and had to shell out $ 35 a night (australian $) for parking. The parking was valet only but we generally were able to get our car within 5 mins or so when we needed it. The worst case was when we were checking out and the car had been parked in a remote location and it took them about 20-25 mins to get it. If you are planning on taking public transportation and the price is in your range then this is the perfect choice.

You definately get more at this hotel than most that quote they are the best. I love that there was a kitchenette in our room but what i thought was fantastic was in the bathroom. A real hair dryer - not one of those incompetant wall hanging blow dryers - and what just tipped it off was the vanity and stool for the ladies.

I found the Radisson online through hotels.com and thought it would probably be okay. The experience we had exceeded my expectations. The hotel was perfectly located at the edge of the Darling Harbour area - with monorail and light rail easily available. We were able to pick up the Sydney Discovery bus within 2 blocks of the hotel, found fabulous shopping at Paddy's Market (also 2 blocks away) and Dixon Street had every type of asian food possible to enjoy. All within a few minutes walk in a clean and friendly neighbourhood. The Hotel allowed us an early checkin (as we had just arrived from the US) and our room was complete with an outdoor patio with a table and chairs. We did not make use of the little kitchenette but the fridge allowed us to store our take-away and drinks. The Hotel also provided coffee and tea service in our room which is a nice way to begin your morning. Our room was quiet - not a bit of sound from the street disturbed us and the hallways were quiet throughout the evening allowing us a great night's sleep each night. There is a night bell on the Hotel entrance so security is not an issue here. There is a small Bistro in the hotel which provided nice street views with a sumptuous breakfast buffett for a reasonable price. We also enjoyed an Australian beer in the afternoon after sightseeing. The service was outstanding in all respects. The front desk staff even printed our boarding passes for us when it was time to depart for further adventure in Queensland. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great central location in Sydney with access to everything.
