"It does the trick"
Overall this was a place to sleep and shower. It is an old bldg with older furnishings. One of the things I liked the least was that I arrived at about 7:30 pm and the air conditioning in my 5th floor room was not on so the room was awful and it took hours to cool down. Also the hallways were not air conditioned and were quite uncomfortable as well […] . Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Amazing Convention Center Location"
The room was very dimly lit but it was just good enough for our stay. Right next to Convention Center and a few little cafes in area. I recommend JCafe. "Great location. Simple hotel"
Stayed here with 3 friends. Staff was accommodating and had no problem giving us more towels when we requested at check-in. Rooms are simple but clean with basic amenities that I'd expect for the price of this hotel (shampoo included and a mini fridge was a nice bonus). 15-20min walk from downtown Portland bars and nightlife and the original Voodoo […] donuts Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"You get what you pay for"
Unfortunately, it appears the owner has given up on this hotel and decided to not even try to make it look nice or inviting. hallways are dark and gloomy with low ceilings -made me feel dirty just walking down to my room. Room wasn't bad and bed was comfortable. Small TV and no frills -but the price warrants that. Good cheap stay for quick, last minute […] business trip, but I probably won't be back. "Staff was helpful"
I dealt with 5 staff member about directions, check-out times, leaving the car while we ran a marathon, and everyone was very helpful. The location is very convenient and I don't know a city that has a better light rail system. Overall, it was well worth the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Attended the trail blazers game 3, stated at the inn at the convention center. Great location to the moda center, easy access to bike lanes and paths on both sides of river, friendly staff, nice rooms. Will be returning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for going to Oregon Convention Center"
Rooms were quiet, clean, affordable, and convenient. I had a little fridge, coffee maker, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi and parking. The service was excellent also. I had to check out by 12:00 noon but they let me park there until 5pm--when my conference at the Oregon Convention Center actually finished. Thanks!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent for the price"
Good downtown location. The rooms are fine. But the halls smelled kind of funky.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old and Dirty"
Price was cheap but this is an OLD hotel! Nice folks but the place is pretty run down.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was right next to a MAX station which was great, but the overall cleanliness was terrible. I didn't even dare sit in the chairs! Beds were creaky, hard, and one of my pillows was covered in makeup.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel close within walking distance"
Hotel was within walking distance from the Convention Center and some fast food diners. Staff was friendly. Rooms were cold and carpet dirty and worn. Hallways were dark and smelly. Refrigerator set on floor and carpet in front of it was wet. Price was to high for the condition of Hotel room. Free parking was good. For the $ it was OK. Only one bad event happened upon our arrival. We arrived at midnight and there were 2 guys drinking in parking lot. When coming into lobby, one of them almost collapsed before getting into the elevator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Right in the heart of the convention center are and on the MAX line makes this a perfect BUDGET stay. Mind you amenities and rooms themselves are a bit rough. "Convenient location in Portland, OR."
We spent one night at the Inn at the Convention Center. The location was convenient to public transportation (MAX light rail), the convention center, and the Lloyd Center shopping mall. The building looks like it might have been built in the 1960's. While I found the facility to be clean, it is in need of refurbishment. It looked tired and dated. The […] room was adequate in size, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water for the shower in the morning. This hotel does not offer any breakfast, but they did have a 10% discount coupon for breakfast at the Red Lion Inn across the street. That worked out OK, the breakfast was very good. Wi-Fi was available and it was adequate for my needs. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I attended the Oregon Dental Conference. It is right across M L King Way from the Oregon Convention Center. "Nice hotel close to convention center"
VERY convenient to convention center, especially since it rained a lot. It was clean, basic, and efficient. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Also across the street from the MAX line so easy to get to other places. Only downside is that there aren't much in the way of restaurants nearby. "Disappointing but convenient"
Although it is very close to the Convention Center, it is significantly worse then the Red Lion across the street. While the staff was friendly, the room was in very poor condition. The comforter had stains on it, the walls had holes and obvious wallpaper patches, the windows leaked, and it had 2 different climate systems, one of which didn't work. […] While this would be fine in a discount hotel, it is only slightly cheaper than the Red Lion next door which has significantly better accommodations. In addition to that, we were not warned that there would be a loud church service being held in the room directly across from ours on Sunday. We would not stay here again. "Old facility needs updated badly."
Staff was great. The room and rest of facility was old and worn. Our room had a hole in the Ceiling that was repaired with just a piece of wood. The wallpaper was peeling. The elevator made horrible a noise and smelled. Carpets were very worn.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A lesson learned"
Chose this hotel with price in mind and basically got what I paid for. The room had an "odd" smell to it, it was hard to heat up the room, and the lighting in the room was poor. Our room was off the MAX, so first thing the morning we heard the train running.. Lesson learned...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was friendly, courteous. The room was nice size, very clean and very comfortable king bed and the price was extremely reasonable. The elevators, hallways and outside of the hotel are badly in need of renovation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent location, bad condition"
Location right across from Convention Center is hard to beat but if you can afford to pay more or stay further I would recommend to do it. "Good for just planning to sleep"
We chose the hotel for its proximity to downtown, it met that expectation. The hotel itself was kind of run down, but the beds we're comfy and the room was plenty spacious. "Seen better, but seen worse"
Great location! Easy to get to the airport, across the street from Convention center (which was our prim. destination) and considering it was raining like crazy it was a huge plus. The hotel itself worn down, our carpet had some stains (looked like blood), but hey - how often you can change the carpet after people who's making a mess? The bathroom wasn't […] the cleanest either, but I wasn't planning of taking a bath. The beds are comfy, we were at the end of corridor and didn't hear any noise (3rd floor), so had a good night rest. Was put in a non-smoking room with a big sign on the door (circle with a line through it and a cigarette in the middle) but the whole room clearly smelled of smoke with a huge pile of ashes on the night stand. The bathtub was dirty with grey spots and the wall paper was peeling everywhere. The whole room was beat up as if the last inhabitants had a […] frat party. The glass doors to the faux balcony looked like a dog had slobbered all over them and also had a bunch of hand prints. I had arrived late and could not change my room until the next day which was somewhat of an improvement since there was no smoke and alittle less beat up. The nightstand beside the bed had a big greasy stain as if someone had eaten a greasy burger and laid it there but it was never wiped clean. GROSS!!! Despite the filth, the front desk was helpful as much as they could be and the location is great. It was quiet at night, not noisy even though the light rail runs directly in front of the hotel.
