Great room, location, and nice breakfast. I will definitely stay there again.

The hotel was nice.. The free breakfast was excellent! However, I was not aware of the $20 a night vallet, and the discription was a double deluxe.. but the beds were full beds and not queens.. the room is a little small, and the housekeeping was not that great. The vallet service was also poor. Otherwise, it was a nice place

Great price for a wonderful hotel!

If you could find a room here within your "comfort paying" range, then this is a great hotel. Walking distance from downtown and many restaurants in the area. However, parking is quite difficult and can run you anywhere from $20-$40 a night. But we enjoyed our stay.

Valet parkng employees very helpful and respectful.

It would be helpful if it was specified that this is a valet parking only property. We didn't have any cash to tip the valet :(

This hotel was conveniently located and a good value for our trip to the University of Texas Transfer students day. We took advantage of its location across the street from PF Changs for dinner. Only issue we encountered was with the A/C. It work us up during the night with some type of alarm. We finally had to turn it off to get some sleep, then we got too hot. Luckily, the temperature outside had also dropped to the 40's, so was not too tragic. Other than that, good experience. I would stay there again.

Like most Hamptons, clean and comfortable. Location is excellent if you want to enjoy the convention center or be near restaurants and Austin night life. All are within easy walking distance.

We loved the veranda!

We had a great stay. the hotel is located near the convention center. It was near many restaurants. It was a 15 minute walk from the city center. We really appreciated the free breakfast buffet. We would stay again.

The hotel itself is very nice and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was good and the hotel is in a superb location. The one thing that irked me was the high cost of the valet only parking. The hotel location was picked so that we wouldn't need a car and we didn't but they charged us for the parking 3x even though the car just sat in the garage. Other than that the stay was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone as long as they don't have a car.

In a great location, walking distance to 6th St and plenty of places to eat right outside hotel. Only thing I didnt like was the body towels where a little ruff but hey still was a nice, clean great hotel. From now on when I do travel to Austin I will be staying there.

The first room we were in the toilet did not work. We were told maintenance was gone for the day and that we should just lift the back and fix it ourselves. After I spoke with a manager they finally moved us to a different room. There were stains on the sheets and pillows. Have stayed here before and it was great...under par this time.

Overall very pleased with the hotel, first time we stayed there, lot quiter than some of the hotels in the area, especially after 1.00 am. Only complaint would be the welcome, or lack of, from the young lady at the Reception Desk. Left her manners and customer service hat at home that particular day.

The hotel location allows for easy walking to eating and local nightlife. The hotel offers a great second floor for breakfast, afternoon chat with friends, or a nice cup of coffee on the balcony.

Overall - the hotel itself was nice/updated and very clean, also had free wi-fi which I did not need on this trip. And walking distance to the convention center and to 6th street. The staff was friendly and even let us check in 4 hours early when a thunderstorm canceled our intended plans for the morning. I wish they would have told me at check-in that they were putting a $50 hold on my debit card, I realize some hotels do this but they typically inform you at check-in that they are doing it...not a huge deal but still would have liked to have been told. and wish they had a jacuzzi. I was also a little disappointed with the restaurant in the hotel but again not a big deal at all, there are tons of great restaurants within walking distance. Aside from that, It always bugs me that hotels charge 20+ for parking...but that's not just this hotel, most in downtown city areas do so - it is what it is. ( any complaint I have is minor and not necesarily specific to this hotel) Overall I would highly rec. this hotel and stay there again.

We were in town for an anniversary party. We had a 3 year old and was worried we wouldn't have "child-friendly" accommodations. We were very satisfied with the Hampton. Only 3 blocks away from the Austin Children's Museum, across the street from PF Changs and other great eating. The staff was soooo friendly- even asked us if the chemicals they were using on the floors would bother our daughter- that NEVER happens!

The King suite room was quite spacious, continental breakfast was substantial, room was very comfortable & well attended, front desk staff should have been more knowledgeable of immediate surroundings in terms of offering suggestions on restaurants, retail shops & entertainment. Hotel gym was quite small w/ dated equipment. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was nice, but a little pricey. The breakfast was really good, and had a wide variety of things to eat and drink. The location wasn't too hard to find and within walking distance of the rest of downtown Austin.

This Hampton is by far the best Hampton I have booked. The suite I booked was spacious and well appointed with flat screen tv, high speed internet, small wet bar etc... and the service was great. A nice, clean hotel within a block of the convention center and with nice dining options within easy walking distance. I would stay again.

The room was clean, the A/C was just right temperature we were able to sleep well. I would come back to this hotel again when I go back to Austin.

We enjoyed every day we were there. The location was perfect. We didn't need transportation. The staff was very accommodating. Most hotels in downtown area are usually below par but not the Hampton - Austin! My children were even pleased and that says a lot1

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn during a conference at the nearby Hilton. Though the rooms were a bit small, overall it was a great hotel. Everything was clean and well-kept. The front desk staff was very nice and even helped us print out boarding passes for the flight back. The best things, though, were the free breakfast and happy hour. The breakfast spread included a wide variety of hot and cold items, everything you could possibly want to eat in the morning. The happy hour is held Monday through Thursday, and includes free beer, wine, and munchies. Overall I thought it was a great value and really enjoyed my stay here.

The room's fridge had Mold/Mildew. Also in the shower, the curtain had Mold/Mildew. The room was not vacumned either. A very bad experience.

First time to Austin and wanted to stay downtown. Like the Hampton chain but quality varies widely by location. This hotel was well maintained and very comfortable. Staff was very attentive and every request was addressed immediately. Location is within walking distance to the Capitol and downtown restaurants and music venues. Even though parking is expensive valet service, it was extremely hassle free with virtually no waiting. Would recommend this hotel.

I was very happy with the service and my room was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect- wonderful restaurants were right across the street and easy access to highways. Would highly recommend this hotel for business travelers (and pleasure as well)

We get a real good deal through Hotels.com so we decided to move to a downtown hotel and that was a great idea. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was in walking distance of just about everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was really good. We made a point not to sleep to late, even after partying on 6th, so we would not miss it. There was one guy behind the front desk that I wouldnt say was rude but was definatly not friendly. The valet was pricy but very fast. It took a little while for the water in the bathroom to get hot but once it did it was very hot.

The hotel is OK. My room was a suite, I would hate to see the small room. Nothing out of the ordinary or overly bad. The "pool" is a very impressive size for a bathtub. You can only valet at 20.00 plus tax every day youre there, be sure to factor that and tips in the price. Overall I would stay there again if the price was right but will try to find somewhere else next time.

We were very happy with the location of our hotel as well as the cleanliness of the room and hotel. Parking is kind of a drawback because there is none! Everything else was super.

Since we have kids we had a 1 King studio and it work out perfect, the room had a small fridge, coffee maker and a microwave too. The sink was also good to have on the small kitchen area and the breakfast was very good too. Just wish they also have scramble eggs and bacon but it was good in general.

affordable and in close proximity to all that downtown has to offer. i would highly recommend.
