Needs updating, needs more comfortable beds. Bedding appears old, not a nice appearance. Took forever to get hot water. Pool was nice, with game room nearby. Staff was friendly, and helpful. Not much of a selection for their free breakfast. Maybe go out some other place to eat.Overall I would give it 2 1/2 out of 5.

This hotel is in a good location, with a great view from some of the rooms. (Beach, park, and Mackinaw Bridge across the street). I think that the queen bed was actually only a double, and not too comfortable for two people. A good place to stop if you are on your way to Michigan's U.P.

The hotel was just as expected. Very close to the bridge and right across from the park and straits. The ferry ride, Sheplers, was 5 minutes away.

I booked this hotel because it was rated high, one room smelled like a smokers room and the other smelled like a gym. Way over priced for what you got. The staff was very nice and pleasant

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and area. The staff was great. I was not impressed with the room interior. It definitely needs updating and certainly a small refrigerator.

Hotel staff were very helpful. We came early before check in time and we were able to check in and get in to our room. They called for our shuttle bus to bring us to the dock- ferry boat. Breakfast was very good. Did not expect that we can make our own fresh waffles! Our friends who traveled with us were also impressed.

It's a good Inn if you don't expect more than just a bed and a breakfast. Compared on the price, it conditions and location, I'd try some others on the beach next time.

I wont go back to that place.. There's mo fridge to put put left overs. The coffee pot wasn't wash. Cheap breakfast buffett.. Very cheap room considering i paid more than the regular cheap motel..

Everything was good. Only thing was the ferry shuttle did not come to get us on time. It might have been because of the parade. However, we waiting for 30 minutes and two shuttles passed us by before we hailed the 3rd.

Tony gave us the best room on the property! My 87 yo father-in-law has trouble getting around and they were very helpful.

Recently stayed at Parkside Inn. It is very close to the bridge. This is good for proximity, but bad for truck noise from the bridge. The room was spartan, with almost see thru dark green towels (they were thin and rough). The pillows were flat. The room was musty. There was a nice new TV on the wall. You have to walk outside across the parking lot […] to get to the pool area. The breakfast was good, as long as you are OK with the female operator hovering / observing as you eat. At check-in, the female mgr/operator went out of her way to be inquisitive about how much I paid online for the reservations (for the two rooms). She was upset I had not booked directly with them. She proceeded to insult me in front of family, saying directly that I was ripped off. She even did the math in front of family on how much in her view I had overpaid. For the record, I believe I paid a fair rate based on rates at surrounding hotels. At checkout, I brought this to the male mgr / operator (her husband), but he refused to acknowledge the issue, insisting repeatedly I had "taken it the wrong way". I'm not sure how it could have been taken any other way, as I was mortified to be spoken to in the manner and tone she used, and I told him that directly. I gave the mgr a chance at service recovery, but to no avail. I have stayed there in the past, due to family preference, but no longer. I know what quality customer service looks like. In my view the operators of Parkside Inn Bridgeview do not, and they therefore will not receive any further business from me. Read more

Not really a great place to stay. The staff is friendly, but the hotel is lacking many positive qualities. We walked in the room, and saw that the back wall was angled...we thought this was unique architecture...turns out it was a staircase. We could hear people walking up and down the stairs to get to the floor above us. Earplugs helped, but still […] wasn't great. Additionally, the room was not clean when we walked in. There was a dirty towel left hanging on the back of the bathroom door. Finally, the continental breakfast was not good. They had some food, but not much variety and it wasn't very fresh. Read more

This hotel was very unpleasant. After expecting a 2-queen room, we arrived and were told we were getting a 1-queen room. We have two kids, so the second bed was a must. They said they were full for the night and there was nothing they could do. I asked if we could have a rollaway bed and the rude man at the counter refused to even consider our request, […] saying the room was to small to fit a rollaway. There was more than enough room for another small bed, but he insisted we would damage the walls or furniture if we had one brought in. "I can give you a pillow and a blanket for the floor," he told us. "That's the best I can do." We weren't about to have our son sleep on the filthy carpet, so he ended up in bed with us, and our other one slept in a pack-and-play, for which they charged us an additional $8/night. We weren't told about the additional charge for the pack-and-play when I called and requested one. Also, our room (212) had a stairway running through it. Thanks to a poorly designed building, a stairwell cut through one corner of the room, forcing us to listen to late-check-in guests tromping up the stairs all night. Lastly, less-than-acceptable green towels and washcloths were in the bathroom. Not sure about anyone else, but I prefer white towels, so I can see if they are clean or not. To start with we made reservations for a room with a King size bed, we got there and they gave us a room with 2 Queen beds and all King bed rooms were booked. The view from the windows was of the back parking lot and the roof, The room was big, plenty of space, clean and had plenty of towels. The down fall, THE BEDS. They were old, lumpy, you could […] feel the springs in them and the box springs had holes in them. The pillows were just as bad. I don't know about everyone else but I like a good nights sleep after a day of sightseeing. Then there is the free breakfast, they start cleaning up and putting the food away 15 minutes before breakfast is even over. And the food was AWFUL. We stopped at other hotels on the way there and after we left from there with free breakfasts and they were great. This place needs to step up on everything. I read the reviews from every sight about this hotel and they all sounded good, but when we got there I was not to pleased with this place. I would not recommend this hotel. Read more
