Good location, right on the beach. We stayed in the villas next door which had private parking which was nice but the room was very out dated. Clean but old. A good place if you plan on staying for more then a night or two because it had a nice big kitchen. Hotel staff was very friendly. Overall it was ok. A lot of money for an outdated room

we would not use this hotel again. while it was clean and recently painted, the mattress was extremely old. it was very soft and we both rolled into the middle! the pool area was not very clean and the water was cloudy. we left an item in our room after checking out and when I called, the girl I spoke with said she would call back to let me know if […] it was found (she actually said "I promise you") but never called. on the positive side, the location was wonderful (right on the water), the lobby was lovely and there were 2 computers for guest use. the biggest drawback was the mattress, I don't need a backache when i'm on vacation!!! We had a great time, Location is wonderful ,right by the beach. The staff was extremely accommodating. We stayed in the queen sized studio apartment that was equipped with a full serviced kitchen. We also had a great ocean view! We are returning in September!!!

The location was nice and convienient, but the hotel staff wasn't very helpful, the elevators were barely functional, the bed was as hard as a rock, the shower temperature was never what you wanted it to be, the pool was nasty, and there was no sauna even though it says they have one. This place offers a cheap night at the beach within minutes to Atlantic City. The hotel is on the older side, you get what you pay for. But there is a Wawa in town for late night snacks and you cannot beat the ocean view.

We spent our anniversary at the legacy. It was great. The room was like a little apartment. It would be a really great place in the summer because it's right off the beach. The in door pool was great for us because we was there in February. We will definitely bring our children back for the summer.

It was not good. The draft that came in the windows made the room very cold. You could actually hear the wind hallowing in the room that it how much it came in. I told the front desk about it but they did not do anything about it.

I was planning an October trip to Atlantic City to celebrate an anniversary so I chose to save some dough and booked a room at this hotel that is in Brigantine. The drive was about 10 minutes to get to AC which wasn't a big deal because we weren't going to be drinking and driving or anything like that, so we didn't mind the drive. The town was cute […] and mostly deserted since it was pretty cold, and it is a beach town. We could afford to stay two nights in Brigantine for the cost of one night in AC so I think it was a fair trade. The hotel is older but has some updates in the room and we were able to get an ocean view, which was awesome and worth having an older room. The bathrooms are pretty small as one of the reviewers had mentioned but it wasn't unbearable. The water pressure in the shower was AWESOME which helps when you are washing long hair out, like I was. The hotel is right on the beach which was cool. I've stayed at the Tropicana a few times in AC and always leave feeling like I most certainly DID NOT get my money's worth, but when I left this hotel I felt like I got what I paid for, which is a good thing! This hotel is great. The staff went above and beyond in letting us park at the hotel before check in, giving us bathroom keys to use, and giving us a room upgrade. If I return to Brigantine, I will definitely stay here again!

The hotel was nice for an older hotel you can see they are updating the appearance. The room we had was small, but cozy. If you are bringing a family you would need a bigger room. The location is beautiful and the beach is great.

Slow elevator, nasty coffee, no continental breakfast. Internet barely worked in the front of the hotel, it was slow full of viruses, adware and kids were using them. Took 30 minutes to open one web page if at all. If you sign in you have to wait 1/2 hour for it to sign out or someone steals your info. Too much money was demanded for wi fii for my lap […] top. The wall looked like it was beat up. Missing dresser drawer, no room in the bathroom to put our things. Water pressure and ease to work was fine. Check out time is too early and check in is too late. People smoking on the deck, so disgusting to walk into. Pool was a rough rock on the bottom not smooth, pool went shallow and deep too quick, uncomfortable non modern pool No place to park our car, then at the end of our stay we see a parking space on the paper work, we did looked and still never found our assigned space, there were no numbers anywhere in the main lot. So many cars parked but we know they did not belong to hotel guests because the hotel was nearly empty. So where do all those cars come from? The bar? Neighbors who pay you to park? It's an old building that they have tried to maintain, but have obvioulsy had some issues. We had two major problems - we asked for two beds when we made the reservation, but ended up with one queen and no pull out sofa. The rollaway was in terrible shape, so we made do instead of asking to be moved. Secondly there were huge gaps around the air conditioning […] where it stuck through the brick wall, and we had a couple of rain storms that rained through, plus the air conditioner wasn't very effective. At one point during the storm, the electricity in the hotel went out, so we had to leave to go find something else to do. That said, the hotel was right on Brigantine Beach which was very nice, clean, family friendly and not too busy. We were ten minutes or less from AC so there was plenty of entertainment. Read more

Was told that the hotel had undergone renovations (not sure where!). Stayed on first floor. Room was dingy and the walls were cyinder block. Not very cheerful. The TV was a 1980's model. Bathtub backed up with brown you know what. The front desk could have cared less and told us to move to another room. No help was offered for us to move our things […] and the next room was even worse. Apparently they were having plumbling issues. Not one person ever apoligized. There are not many hotel options in Brigantine. Spend the extra money and stay at the LaSamana or AC. Read more

I grew up in Brigantine and have always loved the "old hotel" which is probably the best of very few options in Brigantine. At least the legacy is the best option for us as it is very central, right on the beach, has a nice restaurant with on the beach dining, indoor pool for rainy days and is very family friendly. We will stay there again as our family […] lives in Brigantine and we go every summer. However, I hope they upgrade the mattresses as none of us slept very well. Also the parking situation s a it crazy and needs fixing and the patio needs a retractable awning. That said loved our suite wich was the perfect size for a small family. Loved the kitchen option and the wrap around beach view could not be beat unless they added balconies somehow. The staff were all very nice. Except for mattresses highly recommend the legacy. Picture used to sell the hotel (night shot) is an over-sell. The property is obviously being worked on but has a ton of the older decor about it. elevators are painfully slow and the beds are too soft for our tastes but being able to fix your own meals and get extra pillows from the staff quickly the served us well. This was our first trip to Brigantine […] and did it deliberately because Brigantine is supposed to be all about the beach....and the beach is terrific...so we are fairly well pleased...In general in the area, you have to hunt to find reasonably priced food.The Hot Bagels pPlace on Brigantine Boulevard serves breakfast and lunch and has New York Bagels which my wife said were the best bagels she has ever had. A much better meal deal than the hotel itself and very much better than any of the AC Casinos. Very convenient to the casinos if that is your thing. Read more

Seeing the overall positive reviews, and the 3-star rating, I was hoping for more from this hotel. We booked a suite, thankfully, which gave my friends and I some extra elbow room. The hotel condition is good, I guess, for its age, but don't compare it to a 3-star hotel that you're used to. The bathrooms are extremely small, and our toilet constantly […] had problems. The kitchenette was nice to have; bonus: dishwasher. The furniture and lighting were dated. The location on the beach is outstanding, and the surrounding neighborhood is nice. The AC is the room wasn't the best, can't imagine staying here in the hottest parts of the summer. The on site restaurant seemed popular. Parking was a chore to find. Slowest elevators in New Jersey. One bedroom suite couch in common area was heavily stained so much so that needed to place sheet over the couch. When referred to front desk the clerk did not apologize nor offer to send housekeeping but simply stated that all couches were getting cleaned. I stated that it would not help me today. Rug in room was pulling up and could have been a trip […] hazard. Mattress was old with dip to center. Took pictures of the area of concern and have written to legacy with a only a pre made response given "forwarded to management" type. Parking was limited and shared with a beach bar some patrons of the bar were in lot and inebriated and a bit offensive. Exterior was clean but was paint over old brick with non structural cracks showing. Location of facility was excellent and near AC marina hotels/casinos since our event was in those locations. For the premium price better off staying downtown AC better value and cleaner having stayed on main boardwalk hotels twice in past 18 months. Read more
