"Great KL experience for tourists"Reviewed by Heather M of "Monterey, CA" on Apr 10, 2012
This was a great choice for my very quick trip to KL as it put me in the heart of one of the most vibrant districts...Chinatown! My room was on the front of the building and while you can hear the hubbub below, it wasn't enough to keep me from sleeping well. If you are planning to pack tons of luggage or take a taxi to the hotel, this is not the place for you as you will need to walk in from the edges of Chinatown (about 1-1/2 blocks in any direction) due to the mobile stands parked in the middle of the streets and sidewalks selling goods. If you're an adventurous tourist who likes to quickly get to the heart of a city, this is the place for you! Breakfast was great (satisfied both western and eastern appetites), the staff is friendly and helpful in many languages, the room was very nice and comfortable, it's about two or three blocks to a metro station on the main line (going from KL Sentral past most of the sights and out to the fringes), and elevator and free water filling station are small but appreciated perks for the road weary traveler! I would definitely stay here next time I am in KL!

"Great Hotel and City for an Indonesian De-compress"Reviewed by Jocelyn M of "Austin, TX" on Mar 31, 2012
We stayed in KL after a several week trip in Indonesia. We were thrilled with just having a hot shower and Western style breakfast. The hotel is extremely close to the monorail station; there is also lots of sidewalks abound! We found it very easy to walk to the Petronas Towers. Fantastic, high pressure shower. Clean bathroom and room. We would stay here again if in KL.

"Expected high quality"
The rooms are very comfortable, clean, the hotel staff are friendly and always available. The breakfast is good and abundant. The only drawback I'd have to say is that the wifi in the room is chargeable.
"Excellent location"
The hotel is clean and near to a lot of malls. Twins tower is within walking distance. The room is a little bit old but clean. If you stay in the apartment with breakfast included, no need to pay extra for the lobby one.it's already good enough. I'll recommen this to my friends.
"Very good and convenient"
Very clean, and convenient to access the KLCC and Pavilion. Everybody is kind.

"Excellant place"
What a suprise on arriving at this hotel for the 1st time. The check in was very quick and the reception staff very helpful. Rooms were of an excellant standard and very clean. Pool area was the best place to relax and have a drink and meal. The Breakfast was 1st class. All staff from the bellhop, cleaners and management were helpful with any questions […] you had. Can highly recommend this hotel for location. We certainly will be back here next time in KL Read more
"Prince Hotel inKuala Lumpur"
Our family of 7 stayed at this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. It was great! This was the first time our 3 grown sons and 2 girlfriends had ever visited Kuala Lumpur and Asia. We chose this hotel because of the convenience of the location and it's reviews. Perfect location. Excellent service. Our sons stayed in the tower rooms and we stayed in an apartment […] which was fine. Our breakfast areas were in different locations but the management changed our location so we could all eat together. OUr room did have a nasty smell when we first went in but once the A/C was on, it went away. Our sons had an outstanding view of the Petronas Towers. The pool area was excellent also,. Read more

"Nice hotel for families"
We stayed at the Prince hotel for 5 days in one of their one bedroom residences. The hotel consists of 2 buildings with the Residences comprising one of them. Our room was spacious and clean and had a great view of the KL tower from the 25th floor. Full breakfast came with the stay and we were pleased with it. The breakfast room was FREEZING cold however […] so bring a jacket! On the same floor as breakfast was a nice gym, the Kids' Club, swimming pool and bar as well as a small launderette. The kids club is open 6 days per week from 9am to 5pm and was an indoor playroom with one staff member to help occupy children. It was a nice option when it was raining! The location is good as the Pavilion mall is right across the street. You have to walk up a block to get to the crosswalk but we were able to do this easily with a stroller. A few blocks past that and you will reach the monorail. My only complaint with the Prince hotel is that I had to call repeatedly for an additional towel, even though we had booked the room for 3 people, and additional toilet paper. Also, checkout took way longer than anticipated...25 minutes or so. So adjust your leave for the airport accordingly. However, they called us independently the night before our check-out to assist us in arranging transportation to the airport which is about an hour away. Overall, I would easily come back and stay with them again. Read more

"Excellent Service"
We have stayed for 5 nights with my 6-year-old girl, and we are very satisfied with the excellent services. The choice and food quality in the buffet breakfast is also very good. In addition, the location of the hotel is very closed to the shopping mall with a large food court and supermarket. The swimming pool is not big but it is very nice as […] well. Overall we are very happy with our stay there. ^_^ Read more
"A busy hotel"
We stayed at the Prince for a long weekend during our trip to Malaysia July 2009. While we have always preferred the Grand Millennium, we thought the Prince would offer the same level of quality and the convenience of bukit Bintang without the traffic jams as we had a rental car while there. The hotel fitted this criteria really well and we were most […] impressed with the overall quality of our stay except for the pool area which was nearly always in the shade and extremely small and busy -given the size of the hotel, it also shares the same pool with the residences. Having said that the staff at the pool were always attentive and on hand. The room was a bit smaller than we expected mainly due to the large bathroom but was well presented and maintained. We only ate at the hotel a couple of times but the food was good and the prices comprable with other hotels in the area. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and although our overall stay was without complaint we still personally prefer the Millennium Read more

"Good value and great location"
My girlfriend and I needed a nice, clean place in central KL after a few days in the jungle and on the Malaysian beach. The Prince hotel proved to be what we were looking for; a very nice place situated right next to the Pavilion shopping mall, the Bukit Bintang shopping and restaurant district, as well as a 10 minute walk from the Petronas towers. […] We had a room with views over the Petronas, which was worth the small extra cost. The room was clean and comfy, with a very nice bathroom. We used the pool area on the 10th floor a lot (cold water in the pool, though), which we found quite wonderful. The pool restaurant served excellent, although expensive, food. Friendly staff overall. Compared to what similar hotels/hotel rooms costs in Europe, it is a bargain (even though the comparison halters a bit, I know). We liked the Prince very much as it met our needs. Those travelers who are looking for a hotel with a special atmosphere and unique "feel" should probably look somewhere else; the Prince is a big 4 or 5-star hotel that could as well been located in Singapore or Seoul. "We have never been to any better hotel in the world!"
The hotel is not placed in the middle of "everything", but near enough to reach all things of interest in a short and cheap taxi-ride. (All taxi-drivers speak very good english, and go right to the point.) Good restaurants and shoppingmalls only a few footsteps away. And the hotel - to repeat - is the most lovely hotel we ever stayed at. The staff […] were so helpfull and friendly, from start till the end, and the room very big and delightfull, so were the bathroom. We slept very well in the bed-kingsize- with really good matresses, and...... there is nothing more to say: it was really the best for us. And we have already planned to come back there. Not anywhyere else. Read more
"Horrible Stay.....Smelly Dirty Place"
We could have got so much better in Malaysia at the moment and will never stay here again. We are back in Malaysia soon and no way will we be booking here!!!!!! Upon check-in the hotel room was filthy and the smell from the kitchen was horrible. I had to tip cleaner to come and clean the room to get rid of a horrible smell from the filthy kitchen and […] there was rotten fruit in the corner of the room the cleaners had missed. Management staff were also very rude. Shame on you Prince Hotel...... not a Prince experience at all. Read more
"Great Location but apartments run down"
The hotel location was great. We stayed at the apartments since that was recommended for us and our 2 kids. The apartments really were dated in the sense that they need a whole lot of updates and havent been done in many years. The biggest problem was that there was a foul smell from the air conditioner in one of the bedrooms which the hotel couldn't […] fix and then a cooking smell from possibly the next apartments through the air conditioner again. In addition, there is a significantly large construction next to the hotel. The rooms are possibly much better since the lobby was great and quite impressive. All in all, a great location but there are many other hotels near which are better and possibly cheaper. Read more

"Excellent hotel and excellent location"
This was an excellent hotel and excellent location. Would highly recommend. Staff were very helpful and professional. The kids loved the swimming pool and the Easter Sunday kids activities. Thank you.
"Good to stay and location but a minus for dining"
Very nice hotel with lovely rooms. Great location BUT if you want to eat, do it outside. Breakfast in general poor and worse in the club lounge. Buffets not much better.
"Noisy pipes"
I would say that the hotel was very nice, the staff very friendly and helpful. The location is brilliant as it is 2mn walk from the Pavilion mall and the bridge to go to the petronas towers. The rooms are comfortable however if you have a connecting room we found it very noisy as we could hear people talking, mshower and even the sound of their TV which […] was a little annoying it was early morning and we wanted to sleep. The very helpful and understanding front desk people change us room to a room with the view over the petronas towers. Nevertheless we could still hear when people used their bathrooms or ran water. The isolatiion on the water pipes is not very good. It is a down side as we woke up when others had a shower. Also, we found that the food in the main restaurant was not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel. It was dry . Breakfast was all right, lots of different kind of breakfast items , floor staff was very nice also. We would recommend the hotel for the friendliness of its staff and it's helpfulness as well as the location but we didn't t have the best of nights while in KL which was a by disappointing. Read more

"Excellent stay"
My friends and I were in KL for a night and we chose to stay at an apartment so we had enough room. I must say the two be apartment was fantastic! There was enough space for three guys, one massive king and two twin beds in another room. The location is equally fantastic, it's right next to the malls and street food vendors. All up, I recommend staying […] here and I will too, when I am next in this city! Read more
"Appartments and normal rooms of different quality"
We stayed in the Prince Hotel and Residence for four nights in January. We had reserved a spacious studio and the appartment was indeed quite large. However, there was a strong scent of tobacco smoke and/or air refreshener. Also the furniture etc. were a bit worn out, I might've been fine with the smell but the missus started to have a headache so we […] asked if there were any non-smoking appartments. Apparently there are none, all appartments are equal in that sense. After a while of wondering we asked if we could switch to the "hotel side" and were finally presented with the option to change to substantially smaller but a lot nicer room. We got a deluxe room at 27th floor with a view to the Twin Towers, great! Location of the hotel is good, right opposite the huge Pavilion shopping mall and the included breakfast was ok but nothing special. Read more
"nice stay"
I can see the some part of Petronas twin tower in my room, even though it was not tower view room. Had a room serviced club sandwich as a dinner at 11PM, was good and service was nice. Pool was nice if not crowded with children. Location was good. But road to the hotel was really narrow and under construction.
"3 star hotel..not 5star"
I stayed in a 2+1 bedroom apartment between 16-20th Feb 2012. Positive things; *Location location location, walking distance to everything Negative things; *Cleanness of the room, we asked for cleaning first thing when we check in they came after 45min and wipe some places, we needed to call them they day after to clean the room even when we has the […] sign "make my room". We called the supervisor who didn't understand English a d she started cleaning. When checking out we filled the complaint form and have ask for a investigation of WHY SERVICE WAS SO BAD!! *Old and worn out rooms *when you asked for something it took minimum 30min to receive it *cultlery and glasses were dvery worn out and old *the carpet in the room needs to be burned!!!!!! "Great for families wanting to explore"
We had a short 2 night stay in KL with 2 small children and chose the Prince due to its central location. The facilities were brilliant and our 2 bed apartment was huge. The staff were also very friendly and willing to help. The location was fantastic with the Pavillion shopping centre on its doorstep, the Petronas Towers a 10 minute walk away and the […] central market and botanical gardens a 5 minute taxi away. "Prince Hotel & Residence KL - A for Location"
I've stayed at the Prince Residences 3 times to date, and I have never been disappointed by the value for money I get. I usually book the 1-bedroom serviced apartment; the spacious size is great for when friends and family in KL drop by for a visit and catching up. A great place to stay for longer trips or just a short break from Singapore which I try […] to do regularly. Service is great, everything from checking-in to checking out, and the friendly staff at the resident's lounge every morning where breakfast is served (away from the hustle and bustle of the main hotel where you have to jostle with too many hotel guests) always makes me want to stay and have another cup of freshly brewed coffee and linger. Otherwise a must-try is the daily buffet dinner at the Eccucino Restaurant with great food, wonderful range of Asian & Western cuisines, and at a great price. Or try the Sushi buffet at Enju. The gym is more than adequate for a short stay, and the pool big and spacious enough for laps although would have preferred more free weights. Best of all is the location, situated just across the road from the back entrance to the Pavillion so you will never have a dull moment or have to stress out over where to eat. The shopping of course is just great, but even if you tire of the Pavillion, there are the many other centers in the Bukit Bintang area, or even a short (and cheap) taxi ride from the Golden Triangle area and KLCC/Petronas Towers. The apartment itself is nicely furnished, with a big bath (separate tub & shower). For those who don't even want to take the short walk across the road, Prince provides a free shuttle service to Bukit Bintang and KLCC. Kitchen facilities in the apartment are adequate for small snacks and meals that you might want to put together yourself. Otherwise, the 24-hr room service has a wide range of delicious food to tide over any hunger pangs. And they're prompt with orders too. The few things that can be improved: (1) Maybe help guests who Read more

"Not upto mark as per its price"
It was suppose to be a 5 star hotel. For my sheer surprise the room that I booked was deluxe but the room was so small that it looked to be too much smaller than Delux of other hotels n most important of all my mini bar was empty. On requesting from house keeping that why my minibar is empty, he was speechless. I will not recommend this to anyone because […] in the same price you can get thousand times far better room than this. I have been to Malaysia thrice before this time and I must say that this hotel rates maximum 3 star instead of 5. Read more
"Poor service mars experience"
The service staff lack training. Simple request for a bucket of ice never came to the room. Free wifi was promised when making the reservation but was chargable after I checked in. Lobby staff made us drive in circles before we could access the carpark. Lunch took 45 minutes to prepare after we made our order, even though the restaurant was empty. No […] effort to warn or explain that there will be a delay. The room lacked complimentary toothbrushes, comb, cotton buds etc. Read more
"Great apartments in a central location"
I stayed in a serviced apartment with my family and we all loved it. The apartment had a lot of room and it was very clean. There is also a nice pool area, a gym and a little store in the hotel. The location was good for shopping and seeing the sights.
"Prince hotel - Great place but skip the breakfast"
My family and I enjoyed our three night stay at the Prince Hotel. Close to the shopping mall and the craft center. The nice sized rooms were clean and comfortable. Great pool for kids but not so much for adults since the deepest spot was probably only 4.5 feet. Loved that I could order drinks and have a delicious lunch from the pool side restaurant […] while still watching the kids swim. The only negative I have about this hotel is the morning breakfast buffet; while it had a great selection the food itself was terrible. The waffles & pancakes were so rubbery we couldn’t cut them with a knife, most of the pastries were stale, the oatmeal was slimy and the list goes on and on. I would DEFINITELY stay at the Prince Hotel again, but would skip adding the breakfast option and eat elsewhere. Read more
"Prince Hotel In Kl - advised to stay"
Hotel location and everything was great, quite comfortable beside bed which size was bit small on length size, which let my legs hang out.
"Prince Hotel and Residence Kuala Lumpur"
Room was large and tidy. The only thing I didn't like is I needed to wait about 15mins to check in. Staff is a bit slow. Other than that, everything is good.
"Must stay for families with small kids"
We stayed in a 1 bed apartment with our 4 yo and 22 mo and it was brilliant. Cot was clean and comfortable for baby and 4 yo slept in huge king sized bed with us. Breakfast in club was great - had everything we needed. The kids club room was a brilliant place to take the kids to just play for a bit (and to tire them out for nap times). Location was […] ok - across the road from Pavillion but there is a convient walkway to reach the Mall. Loads of shopping and eating places very close to Hotel. We might have considered staying on the same side of the street as the Mall, but then again the convenience of an apartment as well as the comfort of the Prince Hotel means we will probably stay there again on our next trip. Also free shuttle to KLCC and other areas was a bonus. However, there was always Taxi's available outside hotel is we missed the shuttle. There is construction happening right next to the hotel, but 1) we were on the 14th floor so it didn't bother us as much, 2) too tired to care, and 3) it was a great wake up call at 8.30am so we didn't sleep the morning away! Also great side on view of the Petronas Towers from our window. But possibly one of the best featuers (besides TV's in Lounge and bedroom) is the pressure shower!! After a long day out with 2 small kids, that shower was like heaven. Read more
"prince hotel and residence - great location"

"Prince Hotel in KL - close to air conditioned mall"
Air condtioned mall and Bukkit area really easy to access from hotel. Lots of construction work going on close by but not at night and rooms well sound proofed. Firly easy walk (20mins) to Petronis Towers and KLCC Shopping. Monorail also easy to find but need a taxi to get to and from KLIA railway. would recommend to all types of travellers
"Very Good Hotel"
This hotel is in a very good location, the big shopping mall is five mins away, walking distance. easy to get to every where. The hotel food is very good, but a little pricey. You don't have to eat there every night as there are lots of places outside, which is cheaper. The rooms are very spacious the kitchenette is very clean and well stocked. My room had […] city view which was quite good. The pool area is also very clean, and has a lovely relaxing garden. While I was there, there was some Royalty staying in the hotel and it was very intresting.watching his fleet of guards coming and going.and excorting him to his daily duties.Lovely Hotel.I would definately stay there again. "One bed apartment"
Certainly not 5 star standard. Lamp shades were tattered, bed cover was stained, wooden furniture was old, scratched and stained, hand spray in bathroom was leaking. Otherwise, good breakfast and nice staff, excellent location and overall good value.
"Prince Hotel & Residences in Kuala Lumpur"
We really enjoyed our stay in a one bedroom apartment. It had all thge room we could possibly want. There is a beautiful pool on the 10th floor. The accommodation is of a high standard - beds quite hard for Western tasts though. You had to pay extra if you wnted the breakfast provided for the hotel rooms rather than for the apartments. We were perfectly […] satisfied with the breakfast on offer. The hotel is located within an easy walk to both the shopping on Bukit Bintang and the Petronas Towers. The hotel staff are courteous and helpful. My only complaint is there is no wifi access in the rooms. There is free wifi if you are in the public areas of the hotel but it would be much better if it was available in the hotel rooms as well. Read more
"Exceptional Value and Service"
We had the pleasure of staying at the Price for 6 nights. On arrival we were upgraded to a Premier room so naturally we were delighted and in some ways this qualifies my review in that the room was superb - curving glass wall, huge room and large bathroom. But more than this, the service here was faultless and we stay in many five-star hotels in Asia. […] The staff in each dining outlet were superb, the food was excellent (and incredible value) and the breakfast buffet was very well done. Just over the road is the new Pavilion shopping centre (definitely better than KLCC) and you can walk through the Pavilion and on to Bukit Bintang easily. The monorail is reasonably close and you can use this to connect to rail or take you directly to all attractions. All in all we would highly recommend a stay at The Prince and would certainly stay here again ourselves in the future. Read more
