The only thing we didn't like was the fact that we were given a smoking room when we specifically ticked the non smoking box on the booking form. Due to the fact that the hotel was full there was no chance to change.

I was forced into a smoking room (yes, they have a whole smoking section!) This is a 2 star hotel. Two floors with no elevator so be prepared. They have a system where the electricity is controlled by your room key (yes, a key,) so the room is guaranteed to be cold when you return as the power is off. On arrival was told I had booked a smoking room, which I certainly had not. They had no other rooms. The smell in the room was almost overpowering. I had also booked a room for 3 adults and there was only one bed mad up. They did bring linens to make up the sofa bed relatively quickly however. We were commuting up to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix, and this was a perfectly acceptable hotel where we could crash at night. The nearby food court didn't have amazing food, but it was serviceable for what we needed and the Waitrose was convenient. Room was too hot in the summer and there was no good way to cool it down.

Oxford is a hard place to find any parking and the hotels in town are pricey, the Days Inn is only 7 miles from the center of town and has a large food court next door. Can not beat the price and free parking.

Arrived to find our room had been freshly decorated and the room smelt strongly of sealant. Requested to move room which was done without fuss. Unfortunatly the bed was very uncomfortable, we could feel the springs and this did not allow a good nights sleep.Staff very friendly and helpful.

Fine for what it is intended for. I had a good nights sleep and was off in the morning. You would not use it for your holiday in Oxford. Only complaint was the room had a bad smell like a smoking room, but I had paid extra to have a non- smoking version.

was quite far from oxford but can take a bus to the hotel which was about 30 mins. Room is clean and right next to resting area which has KFC burgerking and food.

The Oxford Services Days Inn is exactly what we'd expected - a basic, clean and comfortable room for the night in a convenient location. Other reviewers complained it was too hot - actually the room was a little chilly on arrival (mid November) but once the heater was switched on it warmed up fine. Functional overnight stay in a small, warm and comfortable room (1 double & 1 single bed, TV, ensuite bath & shower, hairdryer, tea/coffee and bics.). Purpose built modern-ish block like a youth hostel but much cleaner & better equipped room. No lounge/public area that I saw other than entrance foyer. Mini fridge in room (hurrah!) & microwave in foyer […] means I will return! Parking at door - its a motorway service station. No breakfast included: Waitrose next door and Burger King etc. adjacent. Handy for local bus/train `park and ride' to London #Haddenham & Thame station is 45 mins journey time to London, about 75 on the X90 coach to Marble Arch from Thornhill park & ride# and for access to Oxford where I was on business. Not The Lanesborough but perfectly good motel for a stopover. Clean, cheap, comfortable and quiet. Our request for the children's bed had not arrived but the staff very extremely helpful and sorted it immediately.

I booked through expedia on a saver deal and would not normally chose to stay on a service station. Having said that the staff were friendly and very helpful (the first room was a smoking room which was changed staight away at our request as we are non-smokers and had a child with us), the extra bedding and towels were provided imediately on request, […] and the room was surpisingly quiet considering we were above the reception. There is a Harvester about 5 minutes drive away and 15 minutes away is Thame with plenty of choice for somewhere to eat, again the reception staff were helpful and knowledgable. Good value for money, nothing fancy, nice stay and easy access to park&ride to Oxford, 24-hour reception, free parking, great staff. The only down point for us was that the room was not ready for 4 people when we arrived and they ran out of duvet. But it's Summer so it's okay.

Staff were very helpful- went beyond the call of duty. Even had a microwave available for guests to heat up meals, and a water dispenser. Only disadvantage is that the smoking rooms are cheaper than the non-smoking ones. I chose the smoking room (even though i don't smoke) and the smell was a bit too much! Otherwise a first class service.

The key for the first room I was offered was bent and did not work. The shower in the second room was broken - bath only. The room was stiflingly hot and opening the window was not an option due to the traffic noise.
