I stayed here one night. Every interaction I had with hotel staff was top notch. It is surrounded by a golf course that adds to the feeling you are not in the city. The one knock I had on the room: the air conditioner is a bit loud.

I booked a room because I had a meeting next door. Pulled in around 8pm and decided the wife and I would have dessert. We ordered two items, a cheesecake with berries and a brownie with ice cream and caramel. The server brings out the cheesecake plain and the brownie. Literally just a brownie. The wife said isnt the brownie suppose to have ice cream […] and isnt the cheesecake suppose the have berries? He said, "the guy is new" to which I said "you are new" to which he said "no the cook". So, you're not new and so you should know this is wrong but you chose to bring out these incomplete items anyways. He said he would check downstairs for the ice cream (um we were on the 1st floor, where is downstairs, did they have a secret ice cream bunker??). Once in the room, we had to listen to children crying and someone bouncing off the walls on the 3rd floor (our room was on the second) for the majority of the night. The room was clean and what was expected. The front desk was nice and helpful. I would not stay here again, but then again I think this may be the best spot in the area. Read more

The stay was comfortable, we were going out dancing and knew that we would be drinking so we wanted a safe place to stay in so that we weren't drinking and driving, so we picked this location. Unfortunately, the A/C unit that was in our room was very loud and noisy. Made it difficult to get a restful night's sleep. Found a cup with spoiled milk in the microwave in our room that the hotel apparently had neglected to clean out. Only had decaf available in the room; hotel did not re-stock regular coffee. Very limited room service menu (both in terms of items and time). Bed, bedding, and pillows uncomfortable - my neck hurts after one night's sleep.

Hotel locates in a quiet area, but not far away from downtown Monteray park. our room with two queen size beds are big. Beds are super comfortable. Bathroom is big, but counter is kind of small. Since everybody in my family had a good rest and sleep there, I strongly recommend it.

Overall the hotel was okay. We reserved the junior king suite, thinking that the "suite" implied that there would be a separate 1-bedroom. Actually it was more of a STUDIO- king size bed and a sofa bed- no separate bedroom. The room was pretty dated. Nice big TV, but could use new furniture and wallpaper was peeling off. Being close to the Montebello Golf Club where we attended a wedding reception was great. Hotel room was very good, including the roll-away that was provided free. The only suggestion would be to provide sheets that were fitted.

The Hilton Garden Inn proved to be well worth the cost. Its located in a very nice neighborhood with no reason to be worried about safety. Their great customer service allowed me to check in within seconds and be on my way to unloading my car. My only complaint would be regarding noise during the night. I had no problem sleeping through the night but I can see that it may cause a problem for light sleepers. Hotel staff offered excellent service! The front desk, technician (who helped us adjust our fan in the room) and janitor were very polite and helpful. Every time we saw any of them, they were so ready to press the elevator button for us and/or greet us. The only not-so-good thing was the a/c in the room - we could not adjust the fan - from high to low - ourselves and we had to call the front desk who sent a technician immediately. Great hotel for the money, conveniently located, but not in the best of neighborhoods. The hotel is located atop a golf course, so there isn't a whole lot of traffic or noise and it's very secluded. There was IN-ROOM Wi-Fi, comfortable beds and nicely appointed rooms. Wish there was a free breakfast included. Definitely would stay there again.

The somewhat gated entry to the hotel gives a sense of car security. Breakfast is offered but not complimentary . Not very noisy at all. There is a lounge/bar next door. Overall its a good hotel for business people.

I've been bothered by noise on previous stays here, but this time I had a room on the ground floor and heard no noise at all. Also, I tried the breakfast buffet for the first time and was very pleased with the quality and selection. It's not free, but it's reasonably priced. I heard that the surrounding are was bad. It may have been but the hotel was located on top of a hill tucked behind a golf course and gated. It was quiet and I had very good nights sleep, even though our room was located on the first floor in front. I didn't hear any traffic in our whole stay. The rooms were cleaned & fresh towels were given everyday. […] The parking and wireless internet were complimentary. I don't know if the internet was for the lobby only but we got use of it in our rooms. I even forgot my cell phone charger and they shipped it to my home at no charge.
