HOTEL WAS GOOD. PERSON IN NEXT ROOM WHO WENT OUT AND LEFT TV LOUD UNTIL 3:45 AM NOT SO GOOD. FRONT DESK COULD NOT ENTER WITHOUT CALLING POLICE ( SO THEY DIDN'T) TO TURN TV OFF. SECOND NIGHT WAS RESTFUL.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a wonderful experience. The deluxe breakfast and indoor pool was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review

The hotel was convenient, clean, quiet. the location was easy to find. The staff was friendly. It was slightly higher than I would say it was worthGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"First and last time we'll stay there"
For starters the bed was hard as a rock... Honestly a rock would have been more comfortable. The shower went hot then cold, hot then cold. The cable was all a weeks prior shows. The worst part was the pool. It was an indoor pool and it was absolutely FREEZING. Not to mention there was mold around the entire pool that people scratched their names into. […] It was disgusting. Definitely wont be staying here ever again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very satisfied. Room price very reasonable. Breakfast was very good and the employee who supplied the breakfast was so helpful and cheerful. Exceeded our expectations and we will plan on staying in a Red Roof Inn in the futureGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rate the Red Roof Inn"
We were generally happy with the motel: room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable, we chose a non-smoking room and thankfully it did not smell of stale cigarettes, bathroom was clean but stocked with minimal toiletries, the lighting in the bathroom was very poor and the mirror seemed smokey, difficult to apply my makeup!, we do wish there were more […] bath towels and after going to the front desk were told they would be available the following morning. Staff was very pleasant and respectful. Breakfast was great, a nice selection and the waffles were yummie! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. A nice place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to all we wanted"
Everything was great except when we went for breakfast there was no room to sit and eat because their was a group of people that were finished eating and told us they were saving seats for friends. We ate at the pool area and when we came back for more coffee the friends were there and they were all visiting and only a few we're eating. Just before […] our departure we looked in and they were still visiting. Staff should do routine checks and suggest other places to visit so others can eat and get on their way. "Fine motel for everyone."
Breakfast was excellent and free. One had a variety of food to choose from: scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, sausage, pancakes, cereal, bagels, muffins, bananas, apples, orange juice, lemonade, milk, and coffee. My room was clean and my bed was comfortable and the wakeup calls were always on time.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very cheap rates. Free breakfast. Convenient locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Really nice hotel"
Other than some mold at the bottom of the shower curtain, everything was great. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. One thing I don't understand with some hotels are their pet policy. Not allowing the dog to stay in the room unattended doesn't work for summer and warmer weather trips, even if it's just a couple of hours. One cannot keep a dog in a […] car when it's hot out. Sometimes keeping a dog in a kennel is not an option. Thank you! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value in Rutland."
spacious rooms with microwave and fridge. Big indoor pool. Decent hot breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was good! An indoor pool is great during the winter months. The housekeeper left a nice note saying why she didn't make the one bed (stuff all over it) and she found my blackberry hidden under the bed. I can't complain, close to several stores and restaurants!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and Convenient"
This is a great place to stay in Rutland. Only 15 mins from Killington and with access to all the restaurants on Main St. I have to say, most of the restaurants in Rutland are fast food and not very good. If you are interested only in fine cuisine, it may be better to stay near Killington. If you are lazy, there is a Denny's right next door within […] walking distance. "A little bit disappointed..."
If you just need a bed for the night this hotel is perfectly fine. Decor is very dated and in need of a make over to bring it into the 21st century. The breakfast is an attractive addition to the price but the quality of the food was poor; e.g. apples were old and crumbly, my kids commented that they were not edible. Our suggestion would be to simplify […] the breakfast to fresh fruit (a banana would have been a nice addition), yoghurt and breads/breakfast pastries, and cornflakes. Ditch the rubber eggs and sodium laden bullet sausage, colorant laden cereals and last years fruit. And if you can't economically simplify to healthier choices (which I know you could), forget the breakfast all together and lower the room price. Guests can go to Panera's for breakfast across the road. But our biggest concern was the copious quantities of polystyrene cups and plates used for tableware. We always credited VT for being more of a "Green and Environment Friendly State" - but this practice really contradicted that. We were informed that the polystyrene is the most cost effective and that when ceramic crockery was used it was stolen - OK - different issue - but what about paper plates and cups? Something that will biodegrade? Again we were informed that it was a cost saving measure that polystyrene was used - hhmmmm.... .. that one could be debated. Just speaking up for Mother Nature who was very kind to us and who gave us 4 fantastic days of powder skiing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was nice overall."
The pool had TO Much chlorine. And the woman that kept up the breakfast slammed the cabinet door open on my leg knowing I was there. She was in the way while ppl were still trying to get breakfast and nothing needed to be refilled yet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great for short stay"
Great location and price. Comfortable for for our expectations and short stay. Bring your towels though only 2 in room and not much bigger than a hand towel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Staff that cares"
Desperate for a room after 9 hrs of driving...wasn't expecting much since this hotel DID have rooms available. We were surprised from the beginning. Gal at the front desk was friendly and warm even at 8:30 at night. Check in was efficient and her advice about local restaurants was right on. The biggest endorsement though? I left my phone charger in […] the room. On our return trip I asked my husband to please stop so I could see of they had it. He was certain that they had either tossed it or pocketed it. However, since he loves me so much (or didn't want me to whine about it) he stopped. Housekeeping had found, bagged and labelled it. This will always be our 'stopover' hotel in Rutland VT! "Perfect Nights Rest"
I am kind of picky when it comes to hotel rooms but this was a great price and an even better stay. Glad I followed what people posted here. Breakfast was decently good considering how cheap the room was. Room was large and clean. I can't wait to stay here next time I'm in Rutland.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Could have been better"
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and this time it left much to be desired. The housdekeeping staff knocked on our door at 10 am and we were not quite ready yet and then they never came back. When we returned to our room later that evening for our 2nd night, the room had not been made up at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great inexpensive hotel, very comfy for skiers"
Nice inexpensive hotel close to Killington and Pico skiing areas.Clean, everything is basic, although very good. The breakfast is very comfortable and very pleasant. This hotel was OK. It is a bit outdated, but clean. The morning breakfast was nice and the staff was nice. But the rooms are a bit outdated and just spartan. The rate was what drew us here and we really didn't expect much.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our 2 night stay was stretched to 5 nights because of the storm. We felt very welcome. The breakfast we great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice breakfast, eggs, muffins, cereal, fruit in the AM. Great pool and sauna too. Realitively close to Killington ski area and many dinner opportunities in the surrounding area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Room was bigger than I expected and very clean. Nice hot shower. Stayed overnight before riding in Killington and the hearty breakfast (it's not a simple continental bf) was very welcome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Go Somewhere Else!!!"
We arrived about 8:30 PM and went to check in. The woman at the desk, I don't know her name ,but her tag said she was from England, greeted me.She was VERY Rude. I went to give her my Hotels.com printed receipt and she rudely said " I don't need that! What 's the email you used? I asked what room I was in and she said" It says on your card envelope". […] I parked and my three sons and myself unloaded our stuff in the FREEZING COLD(5 degrees) and went to the door to come in. She didn't activate the key cards!Bad odors in hallway and room.Stale smoke and deodorizer. I went to load a few things in the frig, and realized it was blowing HOT air inside! I called the front desk and they did send a guy within 3 minutes about the frig. He went to a vacant room to do a quick swap. The replacement wouldn't fit in to the "built-in" area, so we reran lamps and tv cords to accomodate the new location for the frig. Not ideal, but at least the guy tried. We went to the indoor pool until it closed at 9:30. My kids liked that , and it was clean. shower temperature fluctuated between scalding hot and very cold. It got so bad at one point I had to have one of my kids come and flush the toilet to make the water hotter!!!! Breakfast buffet was adequate. Overall experience was that this place needs a total overhaul. From the impolite desk clerk to the bad odor to the antiquated decor and appliances! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

My stay at the hotel was good. They have a big indoor heated pool that I used after I checked in. The room has mini refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker. Hot breakfast is included in your stay. "Perfect stop before Killington"
We arrived a day early to our ski trip in Vermont. This hotel was cheap, had an awesome pool, and located in the middle of a town. Great stop off location. Oh, and did I mention the pool is 9 feet deep? It was awesome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"What you pay is what you get"
I was glad to book a hotel with a pool and sauna.. those things were there, but the quality was far from perfect.. sauna was only good for 4 people and was just warm (not hot as it supposed to be).. some folks in their low 30s were drinking beer right in the pool and bothering other people.. bathroom quality was not the best either. old... no really […] clean Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great value and location for access to skiing"
I researched a few different hotels in the Rutland area. Easy drives to several different hills, good restaurants located close by, clean rooms (that could stand to be updated a little bit), and friendly staff. This hotel provided the best bang-for-the buck value I could find...a very important consideration when it comes to saving money for the slopes. […] I will definitely stay there again! "ski trip lodge choice"
overall, Red Roof is a very economic choice. The room is clean and big. I feel they can provide better quality shampoo and conditioner for the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was clean enough but bathroom not too nice and same iwth the 'toiletries'. The sink did not drain efficiently and I think the breakfast should extend until 10 or 10:30 instead of 9:30. Plus if oyu allow pets, have designated rooms. I could tell pets had stayed in my room in the past. Front desk staff very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great acommodations for ski bums (and all others)!"
Easily accessible, close to several dining options, close enough to Okemo and Killington (especially for the price) and nice hot breakfast as part of the package. The room was very large, and easily accommodated (2) people and our ski equipment. Great deal!Genuine Expedia guest review
We have very unconfrortable to stay because the room is freezing cold even we turn on the heat but the heat is like the ac so we all ending up wearing bubble jacket to bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good Italian take out within walking distance"
Staff at desk was accommodating, we ended up in a no smoking room where someone had smoked. He immediately switched us.There is a good take out Italian restaurant about a block away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My stay was comfortable considering the fact that my visit was for a memorial service for my late Uncle. I think that Hotels.com should be more sympathetic by allowing discounts for bereavement.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
