"Close to skiing"
The hotel was centrally located in town and about 10 minutes to the mountain to go skiing. The pool area was a bit cold when you got out of the water. The continental breakfast wasn't bad( eggs, coffee, bagel, muffins and cereals).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for the Price!"
Very reasonably priced. The room was clean and spacious. Also, unlike another hotel I stayed at in the area recently, the heating could be controlled from the room itself. So I was able to make the room comfortable. My only complaint, and it is minor, I suppose, is that the vent in the bathroom was blowing air instead of venting it out. I booked to […] go skiing at Killington and was concerned that it was too far from the mountain. It turned out to be only a 20 minute ride. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Good breakfast, friendly staff, nice and clean. Close to mnay restaurants, minutes away from Pico and Killington MountainsGenuine Expedia guest review
This was not our first time staying here.We were so amazed by this place last time that we had to book again. The rooms were spotless and quiet, you didn't hear your neighbors in the next room. The staff was incredibly friendly whenever you walked down the hallway if there was an employee there they would say hello to you. And the breakfast was the […] best! Eggs sausage waffles cereal.. I could go on. Defiantly highly reccomend this one!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for a weekend ski trip"
The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. Fresh waffles and eggs for breakfast!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Scrambled eggs; smoke smell; pool chilly"
Very large and clean room made it comfortable to hang out at night. Pool was chilly but not too bad for the kids. Wish it had a hot tub. The breakfast featured scrambled and hard boiled eggs, waffles and sausage. Most of the upper rooms allowed smoking so walking past those rooms was horrible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"20 Minute Drive from Ski Resorts"
Red roof in is a very affordable and comfortable place to stay if you want to go skiing at the nearby mountains (Okemo, Killington, Pico) and don't want to spend a lot of money on the slopeside resorts. I've stayed here several times and was very happy every time. Hotel is conveniently located in Rutland near many restaurants and shopping centers.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great deal to stay near Kilington"
Was in the center of Rutland and close to everything you would need in a small city. For the value it was a 20 min ride to Killington and beats any prices close to the MT. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. As many have noted towels are size of bathmat so bring your own fluffy towel. Pool was chilly, but my daughter didn't mind. The service desk […] staff were a bit gruff and had an attitude when I asked for another night. Per the Red Red Roof Inn 800 # customer service they advised I ask the desk to be put on a waitlist and then be notified. I was told in a short tone "we don't do that here!" They couldn't be bothered. Would I stay again? Since it was short stay and I later that day got a room at the Quality Inn for the 2nd night-I would pick the Quality of the Quality Inn in Quechee! "Good hotel for the money"
Good price for the location and close to the ski resorts without paying the resort price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cute room close to Killington Mountain"
Stayed in a one queen size bedroom, just for me and my boyfriend. There is plenty of parking space and the staff was nice. There is complimentary breakfast provided from 7 AM to 9:30 AM which included eggs, sausages, muffins, bagel, cereal, waffles, pancakes, hot coffee, tea, orange juice, and milk. This hotel is situated on a main road in the town […] of Rutland. There are many shopping areas and restaurants very close by. It is about a 30 minute drive from Killington Mountain and the drive isn't too bad. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone just looking for a place to crash for a snowboarding trip. "One night stay."
Overnight stay in double room. Old TV set with not working remote (sleep setting, CC). Carpet under beds was not vacuumed in ages. Swimming pool area is very cold, leaking roof in one corner. Pool table is not leveled and the cues are not straight. Breakfast are was fine for this class of lodging.Genuine Expedia guest review
the pool are very cold. my boyfriend go to ski and i want to swim when is gone but i need to keep my parka on in the pool room. i don't put a toe in the water in 3 daysGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was ok for one night. The towels in the bathroom were really skimpy; otherwise no major problems. Breakfast was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed in this hotel because it had an indoor pool. there was no heat in the pool room and it was about 40 degress in there. everything else was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, Clean, Friendly and Helpful Staffs"
We stayed 4 night with 2 kids. We are very happy with this place. Staffs are very nice and helpful. We will choose Red Roof again for our next year VT trip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value for the money"
Reasonable rooms, very friendly personnelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was great except for the small towels that felt like sand paper on your body. Also the beds were uncomfortable and had some mold in the bath tub, but besides that the toilet worked great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap hotel - cheap service"
Dirty, smells, cold, room cleaning is terrible. Breakfast is so poor. No seats, dirty carpet and a lot of ants, coffe mashine was very cheap. Next day we decide to change the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"close to everything"
Having stayed there numerous times nothing was a real surprise. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Motel tell does lack in updatingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"5 Night Stay"
Overall, it was very good for the money! Water pressure was very weak. Breakfast was better than expected with hot food. Staying again next month.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pretty nice hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place, convenient, comfy and clean!"
We were pleasantly surprised by how nice our room was. The free breakfast was delicious and featured scrambled eggs and sausage! There was a Belgium waffle machine too. Denny's next door was so convenient, and the hotel offers a discount there. I thought this place was a great value.Genuine Expedia guest review
The 2-queen bed room was clean, spacious and quiet. The complimentary buffet breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage, both of which were very good and hot; also cold cereals, make-your-own waffles, assorted breads, bagels and muffins. Inclusion of this in the very reasonable room rate is a real plus and money saver.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not bad; somewhat dated."
Nice hotel overall. Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay for the middle class. The TV is 15 years old, comes with Nintendo 64 controller and games. The mattress is stiff. Bathroom is good and clean. Room has plenty of mirrors. Heater works well.Genuine Expedia guest review
No exhaust fan in bathroom, but overall a nice placeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Decent, nothing fancy, but clean and a good bargain. We would stay there again. The breakfast is better on the weekend than on weekdays, when there was fewer choices.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"CSC Homecoming weekend"
One of the first things we noticed that was noteworthy was the door to the room. It had the appearance of a vault door, not very warm and welcoming. The pillows were not very comfortable, and the television was an older model, not the latest HiDef model. The breakfast offered in the morning was acceptable, but didn't offer many options. The location […] of the hotel is very convenient to Rutland, with a host of retail shops and stores close to the hotel. Overall, this hotel was an acceptable place to stay for a night or two. "A Decent Place to Stay"
While visiting Vermont for a wedding, we stayed at the Red Roof Inn. This is not a huge city, so I wasn't expecting anything really fancy, but our experience was really underwhelming. The rooms need to be upgraded and instead of being cozy, I got an outdated and creepy vibe. The staff was fine and service was up to par.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were in the area for my son's Homecoming Weekend at Castleton State College. The hotel was located close to the school and all of the stores and restaurants we needed to access. We were very pleased with the quality of the accommodations as well as the services. The complimentary breakfast was very nice as well. Fair prices!Genuine Expedia guest review
"ok for a night"
Hotel was clean and close to main road. Very crowded at breakfast. Price seemed a little high for a medium hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very satisfied, my testing with State Police ended a day early and was even able to get refunded for the night I did not need.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was quite decent but a bit expensive and not worth of the money you spent . Over all room was pretty clean and staff were also pretty good. would recommend only if you are spending less money.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Really liked this Red Roof Inn"
Despite having disappointing experiences at other Red Roof Inn, this facility has had a complete face lift. The rooms were clean and the facility offered all amenities, excellent breakfast, fitness room, pool, wi-fi. The staff was particularly helpful and friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
The place was alright. One lamp wasn't working and the main light flickered. There was a spider hanging from the bed post. We didn't interact with staff much, but the lady putting out the breakfast was polite. Not one housekeeper said hello or good morning, which I thought was rude. Breakfast was average. Overall, the stay was alright. I probably would […] choose another hotel next time, but it wasn't terrible. You get what you pay for. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Our rooms were very clean. Wifi worked well. Staff was friendly. The free breakfast was extremely satisfactory. A variety of breads cereals and fruits, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and sausage, make your own waffles, yogurts. We were very pleased.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great fall colors......"
Worked out very well for us as we were on the road.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is old and has smelly odors that are trying to be covered up by incense. I definitely would not stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quick in-n-out. Comfy overnight stay"
Easy check-in /out. Clean, comfy room with many amenities.Good personal experience.Decent complimentary breakfast; not deluxe, but comfy /cozy for econo-budget. Would definitely stay in again next trip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient, clean, but a bit worn."
This is a modest hotel, good for a one night stay. The overall hotel looks a bit worn, the bed was somewhat hard, and the bath towels were small and thin. But the room was clean, the staff friendly, and security seemed good. One suggestion: offer 2% milk in addition to whole milk for breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, easy to find, near restaurants"
Arrived late afternoon, went next door for dinner and settled in for the night. The breakfast was fine, waffles always a winner for me.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great room for the money!"
This hotel deliver's a lot for the money - it's clean, it's pleasant, the staff is helpful, the breakfast was very good. I'd recommend this to anyoneGenuine Expedia guest review
Have stayed in a few Red Roof Inns and the Rutland one is several cuts above! In fact, believe it should be elevated to a three star rating. Rooms are extremely commodious and well appointed. Breakfast was a complete hot breakfast with anything you would desire. Management definitely knows what they are doing!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice in town hotel"
In town for race at killington, clean hotel next to downtown Rutland. No complaints, decent rooms, polite, courteous staff. Good price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Does the job"
When you stay at a Red Roof Inn, you have to remember that it's indeed just that...a Red Roof Inn. I was staying there for the Spartan Race World Championships that took place in Killington, VT, which is about 25 minutes from the hotel. The room itself was clean, but smelled very musty. I had to keep the windows open most of the time. All rooms were […] booked due to the event, so I couldn't switch, so I just dealt with it. Price was reasonable. Rooms should just be taken care of a lot better. Staff was nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK Place in an Unpleasant City"
We were five cyclists nearing the end of a six day ride. The streets were clogged with heavy fast moving four-lane traffic. Check-in was quick and easy. Our rooms were clean and generous in size. Laundry doom worked well. Breakfast at sixAM let us get an early start the next day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This motel was just that a motel. I expected (and anticipated) The Red Roof Inn to be worse than it was from the reviews but it wasn't; it was actually OK. This motel is perfect for a one/two night stay especially for the price. For me, personally, I couldn't/wouldn't stay more than a night. The motel definitely needs upgrades. It is noticeable that […] they tried but unfortunately it was unsuccessful. For example, the bathroom was wallpapered but not nicely, the tub was caulked but not enough, the faucets (sink and tub) were upgraded but the tub wasn't, the drain stopper didn't work unless you placed something under the stopper to hold it up so the water could drain and the cleanliness of the room was borderline average. However, these are all minor things that should & could be overlooked by someone booking this motel. There is no ohhs and/or ahhs about The Red Roof Inn. You get for what you pay for. The one advantage of this motel was the breakfast. It actually wasn't too bad for a motel! Everyone was friendly, the pool seemed OK, although I didn't use it. Like I said, you get for what you pay for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
