"Very quiet hotel"
Check in was very easy. The room was away from the main highway traffic. Very quiet. Booking already for my next stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient and Clean"
The hotel was very clean, especially the pool area. The front desk staff (Linda) was awesome. Breakfast was the usual hotel choices. The only thing I would suggest is better pool towels, they are a little skimpy. Overall very satisfied, especially for the price paid.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel with great staff"
Nicest staff I've ever dealt with. Hotel itself was ok, bed was uncomfortable, but other than that it was a nice stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great alternate to Killington Access Road Hotels"
I loved my stay. Close to restaurants, shopping, and taverns. The hotel was very inexpensive, even on the week-end. Had an indoor pool with nice facilities. Also the breakfast was awesome. Milk, juice, coffee, tea, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, sausage and eggs every day. No complaints.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Entire hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. Room didn't. Pool was freezing cold. Old and outdated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Stay for family party"
Needed a pet friendly hotel that offered a pool and breakfast. Upon arrival a sign said you cannot leave pets unattended in room even if caged. The Hotel has recently changed hands and appears to have some upgrades. The bathroom was very disappointing and was not cleaned well at all. Asked if a rollout bed was available for our child and they had none. […] Asked later for an extra blanket ( no extras in room ) and they said they would get back to me, they never did. Pool was ok. For the $90.00 paid on Expedia it was disappointing because for the $100. range we are used to a better hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location awful breakfast"
Good location . Lousy breakfast . Knocking on our door every 5 minutes after 7.30 to clean the room .Genuine Expedia guest review

Days inn just bought this place from red roof inn.... The inside is all redone and nice... Outside looks aged but who cares about that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Rutland/Killington Area You are absolutely correct. The hotel is under new management. We have some exciting new changes planned. Thank you for your comment. We hope to see you soon so that you can enjoy the upgrades at your next visit.
Old tube TV, room smelled musty/moldy with some kind of scent unsucessfully covering it. Ants on the bathroom floor. No telephone. Paper thin walls. Will surely drive right by this one next time!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Rutland/Killington Area Sorry to read that your stay was not enjoyable. We do take pride in providing an enjoyable stay. When we fall short of that we immediately go to work on correcting the problem. We are in the process of exciting new upgrades We are getting flat screen TV's, new beds and we have a phone in every room. We are painting rooms and doing spring cleaning as well. "Hotel is a great value. It is clean and friendly."
Breakfast area is a small, crowded with a school group when everyone was trying to get to the ski areas. Motel has recently switched from Red Roof to Days Inn. i.e. Web access still says Red Roof. Front desk person said new owners were planning some upgrades/ refurb. I was surprised because it is already in good condition.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Wish the cleaning staff had paid better attention!"
We stayed here for one night, Friday -Saturday, before skiing Killington. The room was in decent shape, but when we walked into the bathroom, there was a piece of excrement floating in the toilet. Not quite what I was hoping to find. We told the hotel staff about this, and they said that they have a lot of new cleaning people. Aside from that, everything […] was fine. The breakfast was good. Response by Days Inn Rutland/Killington Area We appreciate your positive comment about the room being decent and the breakfast being good. I do apologize for the housekeeper not checking the toilet. This is unacceptable. We do appreciate all feedback. It gives us a chance to become aware of what areas we need to improve on so that your stay with us is completely enjoyable. We look forward to providing you with exceptional service at your next visit.
"Not very clean"
Bathroom not the cleanest, hair all over floor. Toilet was questionable as far as being cleaned. Rug in hotel room did not appear to be vacuumed. Upon check in, was given key to a room that was already occupied. Shouldn't there be a system to prevent this seeing as there are key cards used? Not expecting the four seasons but this is sub parGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Days Inn Rutland/Killington Area Thank you for your feed back. We are committed to making sure that each one of our guest has an enjoyable stay. It seems in your case our housekeepers did not perform their job in the manner in which would support our promise to you. Please accept our apology. We also want you to know that we have taken the steps necessary to assure that your next stay with us is enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.
"Good breakfast, dusty shelves, so-so cleaning"
Good breakfast with waffle maker, yogurt, muffins, eggs and sausages, etc. Nice sauna, a bit small though. Lukewarm pool. Dusty shelf above the microwave. Maids came and left the shelf dusty. The bathroom counter top was not wiped. My roommate left a soap wrapper in the bath tub. It was still there after the maid left. My clogs were found in two different […] spots. Maid service could be improved. Noisy heating unit made it difficult to sleep. Some restaurants in the area and a shopping mall was close if you forgot anything and needed to purchase. OK for the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Rutland/Killington Area We are happy that you enjoyed our hot buffet breakfast. It is also nice to hear that the price was right. However, it is unacceptable that the housekeeper did not live up to the standards that we have set. Immediate attention will go directly to the improvement of those areas. We do look forward to a visit from you again.

Response by Days Inn Rutland/Killington Area We are happy that we were able to met your needs. Many of our guests enjoy that the hotel is only 25 minutes from Killington. We have some exciting new upgrades planned for the hotel. We hope to see you again so that you may enjoy the changes.
The pillows were too thick and also lumpy. As long as you're going to provide 3 pillows it would be nice to have a variety of thicknesses for those who do not like super thick pillows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Killington, restaurants, not very clean"
Hotel was picked because a friend had stayed a few weeks earlier. The rooms were fairly clean, but I noticed some dust and dirt on the shelf above the microwave in both rooms. When I got back from skiing, I found one of my clogs in the middle of the room and the other under the bed. My roommate had left a soap wrapper in the bath tub. The wrapper was […] still in the tub area. Shelves still had dust on them. But breakfast was great. The sauna was nice and comfortable albeit small. The pool was enjoyable. Several restaurants were close by. A mall was nearby if you forgot something. Overall not bad. Cleaning could have been better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Rutland/Killington Area I was happy that your friend had recommended our hotel to you. I am glad that you did enjoy the pool, sauna and our hot buffet breakfast. You also mentioned that it was a good location for restaurants and a nearby mall. We appreciate you taking the time to give us your feed back. It is important to us that you have an enjoyable stay. Although you had many positive comments you also did mention the room was dusty. I apologize for the housekeeper who did not complete the cleaning of your room to the high standards that we have set. Be assured that we will be addressing this issue. We hope to see you again in the near future.
"Close to skiing"
The hotel was centrally located in town and about 10 minutes to the mountain to go skiing. The pool area was a bit cold when you got out of the water. The continental breakfast wasn't bad( eggs, coffee, bagel, muffins and cereals).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for the Price!"
Very reasonably priced. The room was clean and spacious. Also, unlike another hotel I stayed at in the area recently, the heating could be controlled from the room itself. So I was able to make the room comfortable. My only complaint, and it is minor, I suppose, is that the vent in the bathroom was blowing air instead of venting it out. I booked to […] go skiing at Killington and was concerned that it was too far from the mountain. It turned out to be only a 20 minute ride. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Good breakfast, friendly staff, nice and clean. Close to mnay restaurants, minutes away from Pico and Killington MountainsGenuine Expedia guest review
This was not our first time staying here.We were so amazed by this place last time that we had to book again. The rooms were spotless and quiet, you didn't hear your neighbors in the next room. The staff was incredibly friendly whenever you walked down the hallway if there was an employee there they would say hello to you. And the breakfast was the […] best! Eggs sausage waffles cereal.. I could go on. Defiantly highly reccomend this one!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for a weekend ski trip"

"Scrambled eggs; smoke smell; pool chilly"
Very large and clean room made it comfortable to hang out at night. Pool was chilly but not too bad for the kids. Wish it had a hot tub. The breakfast featured scrambled and hard boiled eggs, waffles and sausage. Most of the upper rooms allowed smoking so walking past those rooms was horrible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"20 Minute Drive from Ski Resorts"
Red roof in is a very affordable and comfortable place to stay if you want to go skiing at the nearby mountains (Okemo, Killington, Pico) and don't want to spend a lot of money on the slopeside resorts. I've stayed here several times and was very happy every time. Hotel is conveniently located in Rutland near many restaurants and shopping centers.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great deal to stay near Kilington"
Was in the center of Rutland and close to everything you would need in a small city. For the value it was a 20 min ride to Killington and beats any prices close to the MT. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. As many have noted towels are size of bathmat so bring your own fluffy towel. Pool was chilly, but my daughter didn't mind. The service desk […] staff were a bit gruff and had an attitude when I asked for another night. Per the Red Red Roof Inn 800 # customer service they advised I ask the desk to be put on a waitlist and then be notified. I was told in a short tone "we don't do that here!" They couldn't be bothered. Would I stay again? Since it was short stay and I later that day got a room at the Quality Inn for the 2nd night-I would pick the Quality of the Quality Inn in Quechee! "Cute room close to Killington Mountain"
Stayed in a one queen size bedroom, just for me and my boyfriend. There is plenty of parking space and the staff was nice. There is complimentary breakfast provided from 7 AM to 9:30 AM which included eggs, sausages, muffins, bagel, cereal, waffles, pancakes, hot coffee, tea, orange juice, and milk. This hotel is situated on a main road in the town […] of Rutland. There are many shopping areas and restaurants very close by. It is about a 30 minute drive from Killington Mountain and the drive isn't too bad. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone just looking for a place to crash for a snowboarding trip. "One night stay."
Overnight stay in double room. Old TV set with not working remote (sleep setting, CC). Carpet under beds was not vacuumed in ages. Swimming pool area is very cold, leaking roof in one corner. Pool table is not leveled and the cues are not straight. Breakfast are was fine for this class of lodging.Genuine Expedia guest review
the pool are very cold. my boyfriend go to ski and i want to swim when is gone but i need to keep my parka on in the pool room. i don't put a toe in the water in 3 daysGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was ok for one night. The towels in the bathroom were really skimpy; otherwise no major problems. Breakfast was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great value for the money"
Reasonable rooms, very friendly personnelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was great except for the small towels that felt like sand paper on your body. Also the beds were uncomfortable and had some mold in the bath tub, but besides that the toilet worked great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap hotel - cheap service"
Dirty, smells, cold, room cleaning is terrible. Breakfast is so poor. No seats, dirty carpet and a lot of ants, coffe mashine was very cheap. Next day we decide to change the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great place, convenient, comfy and clean!"
We were pleasantly surprised by how nice our room was. The free breakfast was delicious and featured scrambled eggs and sausage! There was a Belgium waffle machine too. Denny's next door was so convenient, and the hotel offers a discount there. I thought this place was a great value.Genuine Expedia guest review
The 2-queen bed room was clean, spacious and quiet. The complimentary buffet breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage, both of which were very good and hot; also cold cereals, make-your-own waffles, assorted breads, bagels and muffins. Inclusion of this in the very reasonable room rate is a real plus and money saver.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not bad; somewhat dated."
Nice hotel overall. Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay for the middle class. The TV is 15 years old, comes with Nintendo 64 controller and games. The mattress is stiff. Bathroom is good and clean. Room has plenty of mirrors. Heater works well.Genuine Expedia guest review
No exhaust fan in bathroom, but overall a nice placeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Decent, nothing fancy, but clean and a good bargain. We would stay there again. The breakfast is better on the weekend than on weekdays, when there was fewer choices.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"CSC Homecoming weekend"
One of the first things we noticed that was noteworthy was the door to the room. It had the appearance of a vault door, not very warm and welcoming. The pillows were not very comfortable, and the television was an older model, not the latest HiDef model. The breakfast offered in the morning was acceptable, but didn't offer many options. The location […] of the hotel is very convenient to Rutland, with a host of retail shops and stores close to the hotel. Overall, this hotel was an acceptable place to stay for a night or two. "A Decent Place to Stay"
While visiting Vermont for a wedding, we stayed at the Red Roof Inn. This is not a huge city, so I wasn't expecting anything really fancy, but our experience was really underwhelming. The rooms need to be upgraded and instead of being cozy, I got an outdated and creepy vibe. The staff was fine and service was up to par.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were in the area for my son's Homecoming Weekend at Castleton State College. The hotel was located close to the school and all of the stores and restaurants we needed to access. We were very pleased with the quality of the accommodations as well as the services. The complimentary breakfast was very nice as well. Fair prices!Genuine Expedia guest review
"ok for a night"
