I liked it alot, I was surprised with the way it turned out. However there were a few small problems, like the elevator being slow and the sliding glass doors which were very hard to open. But other than that we had such a great time and the hotel turned out great.

Overall the experience was pretty nice. Lots of traffic through that hotel including water from pool, sand from beach, and check in and check outs. Overall I think my stay was pleasant. I do not complain often, so if I do then there's something very wrong. I would definetly stay again. I liked the layout of the place;)

This was my third stay with the Acapulco Hotel. They are in the process of some needed updating. I had not been there in about 2 years, and at that time they offered a very nice continental breakfast. They do not offer that anymore, instead the restaurant serves breakfast and lunch. Older yet well maintained. Beautiful ocean views and pool area. Went on Memorial Day weekend and Acapulco is just close enough to Daytona's hussle and bussle without having to deal with crowds. Will definately visit again. *Painfully slow elevators so be prepared to wait or take the stairs.

Went for a family vaca memorial day weekend, paid $10 a day for "resort fee" for a in room safe that did not work most of the time, fitness room had weights, treadmill and 2 other machines, no oven, no cook wear, huge cockroach approx 3 in. length, when called to inform front desk said they would send maintenace, they never came! Not enough parking, […] parking lot way too small!!! Request pool towels 2 diff times and they were out of towels. Elevator was way too small waited anywhere from 5-10 min for it. Twisted tea drink from bar was nasty, pool area didnt have enough chairs or walking room. Asked for sheets to be changed after second night said the next day was leinin day, they would do it then. No grill, coolers not allowed in pool area. Hot tub was too hot and I love the hot tub! beautiful view from the balcony and great location, we didnt get in the pool much bc it was so crawded. Staff was not very friendly, rooms are cleaned around 12-3 which was around my childrens nap time. Will not stay again. Read more

Elevator are too small and very slow but functional, we were on the second floor so we took the stairs, parking space is anothr problem but workable. Beautiful oceanview rooms, clean, plenty of towels, although lack some kitchen items, such as cooking utensils, cups, and plates. Requested items and had no problems with that. Pool Table room is always closed during the day and only open for a few in the evening so guys, across the street there is a great billard, no worries... Nice facility, but the parking is terrible! Not enough spaces for the guests. Rooms were clean when we arrived, but daily housekeeping was not as good as other motels in the area. Great pool area and bar!

Overall it was so so for a hotel stay. I was charged for a previously broken picture frame that fell apart due to high winds at night.... so that was an unexpected charge, also be aware that there is a $10.60 charge per day extra charge on top of your booking here on Hotels.com. We just recently returned home from our 3 night stay at Acapulco and it was wonderful. We had a non-smoking, oceanfront room on the 3rd floor that was very clean with a beautiful view of Daytona Beach. We went during the week, so the hotel was pretty vacant, therefore, our stay was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. The staff were very friendly- […] the maintenance man (believe it or not) was full of helpful information and great stories about Daytona- great guy. The hotel is about 3 miles away from the Pier, but we didn't mind the short drive to the shops/entertainment. Since the hotel is a great value, it attracts more of the younger crowd, which on the weekends might be noisy- however, we wouldn't know for sure since we left on a Saturday morning. We did not eat at the hotel, for we didn't see too many options. Our room had kitchen properties that we utilized (mini fridge w/freezer, microwave, stove top, sink) that was extremely convienent. If you're looking for a short getaway for a great value, this is the place. My only complaint was the elevators; they had a longer wait time and we often used the stairs, otherwise, we def. return to Acapulco Read more

If you're planning on a wild weekend, this might be it. Weekend crowd was a bit rowdy considering most were not hotel resident. Our stay was Mon-Sun and we enjoyed 3 beautiful days of sunshine, tranquility, and the ocean breeze.

Room was ok, smelled a little damp. Biggest problem was door to patio did not open to deck. Reported to front desk and nothing was done about it. Overall staff was friendly. Changed the breakfest to purchased. Pool area and location to beach are the real selling points.

I thought the hotel had a great spot on the beach. the pool was deep on one end and great for the older and younger kids to play in. the hot tub was always hot, just a little small. My wife and I room was by the maintenance room they were very loud yelling down the halls. Then over the shower, the sheet rock was falling down. Rooms was ok don't think I would stay again.

I had read alot reviews on this hotel, mainly about how slow the elvators were. We had a really nice stay at the hotel. My parents live next door and their place was full so we needed a room while family was visiting. I thought it was a great stay, the room was clean, they've just put in a new hot tub and the pool was heated. My kids swam in it and it was one of the coldest days here in FL. Overall I'd recommend this hotel, but there were some inconsistencies. The grounds and lobby were very nice. The location was good, right on the beach with a nice miniature golf course across the street. Oceanview rooms on the north side of the hotel were almost as good as oceanfront (my family rented one of each). In terms of problems, the kitchenette […] in our oceanfront room had no pots and pans, four utensils, no sharp knife, only two glasses, etc. The maintenance person on evenings was great at running around the hotel trying to find things for us, but it was obvious that the place lacked sufficient dishes, glasses, utensils, etc. for all the rooms. They spent all that money to make the grounds and lobby look nice, but appeared to be scrimping on small things. An interesting contrast though was the oceanview room which had sufficient things in the kitchen and also had dish soap, a dish towel, and dish cloth, which the oceanview room also lacked. This suggests part of the problem might be with the maid service, but my impression from the maintenance guy who was very helpful in finding things for us was this is an ongoing problem. Lobby is nice and recently updated. Rooms are okay, but a bit older. Difficult parking in small parking lot. Lounge on main floor must allow smoking because the odor was throughout the building. Front desk staff was great.
