It was a great experience. Everything was almost perfect including room services, staff, environment, location and rooms. I made my reservation through hotels.com and by mistake I input wrong reservation dates. As I planned to stay there for two nights in July and in reservation I put August. Therefore, at the beginning I found difficulty to get the rooms, however, the staff were nice enough to help me out. They understood my problem and dealt with very professionally. They called the agent hotels.com and explained everything to them. Ultimately, the problem was solved and I got the rooms. Special thanks to staff Sufyana, I?m not sure about the name 100%. Very clean bathrooms

This hotel was very well priced, the room was great had a nice Plasma in the room and was very modern. Right next to the Station in the city and major shopping - could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Staff were very helpful - also free internet and breakfast - Perfect!!

My sister and I stayed here as a base to explore Oslo, do some skiing at Tryvann Winter Park and watch the IBU World Cup Biathlon at Holmenkollen. It is right beside the station and was absolutely perfect for us to get around easily. The breakfast is incredible and there's a really relaxed atmosphere generally around the hotel. The staff were always willing to chat and give advice about anything. The room was small but not cramped and the bathroom was great. Overall it was a really lovely place to stay.

Well placed near Central Statio and the cab rank if you are going off around town on business. Very well presented and staff extremely helpful.

Like all Thon Conference hotels, the Thon Opera is nice by European standards, specifically that it is small, expensive, and offers limited service. Oslo Central Station is right next to the hotel, which is good and bad: The convenience of have access to the heart of Oslo's mass transit is wonderful, but announcements made for train departures are clearly audible in the room. They make announcements several times per hour at all hours of the night, so that got a little irritating, especially considering the price of the hotel. The breakfast they serve is among the best in Oslo hotels, and the view from the restaurant is nice as it overlooks the new Oslo Opera Hall. Overall, those used to Asian or American hotels should keep their expectations low as this hotel is not nearly as nice as a Westin, Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, or Sheraton, but more like an expensive Marriott Courtyard with really small rooms.

I'm delighted that I have chosen this hotel. It's very convenient, next to Central Railway Station, Sea port, Taxi center, Opera House view. More importantly, we can commu to the Oslo Airport simple and easy with Express Train. I will definitely come back to this hotel for my next trip to Oslo.

My friend and I stayed here two nights with a trip to Sweden in between. It was great. Location was perfect for travel by train. We had previously stayed closer to the center of the city. Both met our needs. What fun to walk from the train station to the Royal Palace on a beautiful fall evening in Oslo. The breakfast was fantastic. We had just a wonderful experience here.

Hotel was centrally located to the boat terminal and the train station. It was also within walking distance of all the sites to see. Would highly recommend.

Terrific location in every respect. We upgraded to Superior Room with balcony overlooking the Opera. Excellent staff. Excllent breakfast buffet. Same for dinners. Great value! We would stay there again in a heart beat.

Hotel is close to the central station at the side of a main road - we were on the 9th floor and heard no noise either in or outside the hotel. Room is a little small, but comfortable. Great breakfast, staff friendly and accommodating

The Thon Hotel Opera was very nice. Its proximity to the Central Train Station was wonderful. The room was very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The wifi internet access was a bit awkward, more so than any hotel in which we stayed in Scandinavia. Like most hotels in Norway, I found it a bit pricey but not out of line in comparison with others.

Flying into Oslo, taking the FlyTOGet train to the Central Station puts you at the front door of this hotel which is adjacent to the beautiful Oslo Opera House. The square of the train station is where the Tourist Informatioon Center is located. Cross the steet and you are on the main pedestrian street of Oslo and from where you can walk to most of the historical sites of the town. Great buffett breakfast, free internet connection. Taking the Norway in Nutshell out of the Central Station to Bergen?- definately stay here for convenience. Outstanding!

The hotel is very nice. The staff are so very helpful. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is a 30 second walk from the train station and adjacent to the tracks 13/14 leading to/from the airport. You just walk around the dropoff circle and you're there. Nice views of the opera house and bay. Very comfortable and modern interior. Rooms are typical Europe size but adequate. The bed was softer than usual which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast buffet is quite good. Far superior to the Scandic Byporten on the other side of the train station. No negatives at all. Definitely recommended.

Hotel location will rate excellent once the construction near by is completed. Perfectly located between the opera and the train station. Walking distancet to all main attractions. I liked it.

Veldig bra hotell med perfekt beliggenhet. Bra frokost.

Hotellet fremstår som fint og rent. Rommene er noe små - gjelder standard dobbeltrom som vi hadde. Frokosten var ikke så mye å skryte av. De hadde hatt noe å lært av Rica Nidelven i Trondheim som flere år på rad har fått kåringer for norges beste hotellfrokost. Noe støy og eksoslukt fra hovedveien mellom hotellet og operaen. Hotellet har sentral beliggenhet ved sentralbanestasjonen og ved enden av Karl Johan. Dessverre så ødelegger omgivelsene (plata) og dets klientel mye for området og hotellet. Tror Oslo er den eneste storbyen i Europa hvor narkomisbrukere åpentlys både omsetter stoff og bruker det mens politiet står like ved å observerer uten å gjøre noe med det, Trist å se voksne folk og ungdommer med buksa på knærne og som er i ferd med å sette en sprøyte i låret midt på formiddagen samtidig som folk passerer like ved. At det ikke bli innført null-toleranse mot rusmisbrukere, tiggere, uteliggere og gatemusikkanter umiddelbart og ryddet opp i dette uvesenet en gang for alle skjønner jeg ikke.

Utmerket lokalisering i forhold til transport. Fin utsikt fra enkelte deler av hotellet. Noe knapp størrelse på rommene, spesielt enkeltrommet er lite. Frokoten er god, men ikke den mest velassorterte jeg har sett. Hyggelig betjening.

Good location in town close to central train station

litt misfornøyd da jeg ankom,syntes inngangsdøren inn til respsjonen virket denne litt sjabby og kunne med fordel ha vært brukt litt maling for å forsterke førstinntrykket. Ellers var det lite opplysninger om hotellets faciliteter på rommet. Good value for money, nice hotel. Although the view is great, I would have preferred a different location. The hotel is next to the railway station and very convenient that way. But the surroundings are not great for going out to dinner/lunch and sorts. Very dirty and commercial surroundings. But the hotel itself was good!

Nydelig hotell, flott beliggenhet, lett tilgjengelig og gangavstand til det meste. Omfattende frokostbord! Rent og fint, god atmosfære, fabelaktig komfort på rommene, spesielt sengene som alle i mitt følge var enstemmig på: "må være beste hotellseng ever!!". Liten minus på at resepsjonen ikke helt takla kaos-helg i høysesongen med mye folk foran disken. Uorganisert kø, litt småsure (stressa) ansatte og miss-match i beskjeder om levering og merking av bagasje til koffertrommet. Men alt i alt et meget positivt opphold. Anbefales!

Hotell frokost er veldig viktig, og denne var kjempe god. Veldig sentralt, et hopp og et lakk fra alt en måtte ønske å se, helt topp :)

Gunstig beliggenhet og kjempeflott hotell

Jeg går først etter pris - deretter beliggenhet, som sentrum i Oslo. Opera scorer veldig bra hos meg - jeg har benyttet det i mange år, og det virker svært velholdt, rent og skikkelig. Dette er et profesjonellt hotell! Men først går jeg etter pris, og velger hvis jeg kan et hotell fra Thon

Hyggelig betjening og profesjonell service. Til å være et fire-stjerners hotell var frokosten noe spinkel. Bacon til frokosten er et must! og kjøttpålegget kunne nok oppgraderes en smule; familieskinke spiser vi nok av hjemme. Men ellers kunne frokosten inntas i rene og fine lokaler. Suveren beliggenhet og og gode rom. Ellers skader det ikke å si velkommen tilbake når man drar! Men; kommer gjerne igjen!

Ottima posizione per la vicinanza alle stazioni dei bus e dei treni. Posizione centrale per visite e vicinanza per le varie attrazioni della città. Colazione abbondante e varia. Personale gentilissimo e preparato.

Jeg bestilt rom på Opera for å benytte deres trimrom som de fremhever at de har på sine hjemmesider, men det ble ikke rare gleden. Bare èn av tredemøllene virket (og den var opptatt...), ingen av syklene eller stepmaskinen virket, og polstringen på styrkeapparatet var revnet slik at skumgummien tøt ut over alt. Så ikke hverken hygienisk eller hyggelig ut. Her trengs det en oppgradering dersom det skal følge resten av standarden for hotellet.

Hotellet var kjempebra, men frokosten var ikke noe særlig. Eggene var så hardt stekt at man skulle tro de var friterte. Og utvalget ellers var dårlig.

Hotellet ligger fint til for de som reiser kollektivt med buss eller tog. Man sjekker inn går rett ut i Oslo, sjekker ut og rett ombord i bussen. Flott.

Hotellet bidro til å gjøre Osloturen komplett.

Flott inntrykk når man kommer inn i resepsjonen. Rask innsjekking av hyggelig personale. Rent og hyggelig rom. Imponerende frokost og lunsjbord.

Uvanlig hyggelig velkomst og effektiv utsjekk. Lite delikat med gammelt søppel på gulvet. Trimrommet kunne med fordel vært bedre vedlikehold og hatt lett tilgjengelige instruksjoner.

Centralt läge invid stationen, nära till opera och shoppping. Vänlig personal vid incheckning, små men smakfullt möblerade rum välutrustade med kaffekokare. Frukosten ok, något rörigt i matsalen och för lite personal (hann inte duka av borden). Bra arrangemang för bilparkering och lätt att hotta rätt väg till hotellet.

Et av de beste hotellene jeg har vært på. Genial beliggenhet med flott utsikt over Operaen og helt opp til Holmenkollen.

Rolig og flott hotell rett ved sentralstasjonen. Utmerket service selvom det var fullt belagt og selvfølgelig travelt for de ansatte. Vi benytter gjerne dette hotellet ved en senere anledning!
