I booked this hotel based on rating and I am glad I did. Perfect location, close to everything, clean and big rooms and the best service I have ever had in any hotel around the world. My reverence to all of the employees. 5 star service is not enough to qualify them.

The hotel was quite nice, in a very safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants. One of our biggest concerns was safety, but that never felt like an issue here. The breakfast was wonderful - I actually had some of the best eggs I have ever had here... But here's the negative- this was one of the loudest hotels I've ever stayed in... The hotel is built […] around an open central area with a spiral staircase. There are hard surfaces everywhere that bounce any sound like crazy. When anybody came into the lobby, we could hear it in our room. And starting around 5:30am, the kitchen staff began to make breakfast. There were multiple dropped pots/pans that I could hear very distinctly and the kitchen door was open as well. I went downstairs and tried to tell the frontdesk person but he didn't speak English. Yes, I know I shouldn't assume they speak English, but any guest staying there should be aware that this could be an issue. On the second night, I slept in earplugs and heard nothing. So I guess that would be my advice - bring your earplugs, or you wont get a good night's rest. Read more

I've stayed at Casa Real a number of times and it's a pleasure coming back. I always find the staff friendly and accommodating. The hotel is on a quiet residential street yet steps from Parque 93 and about a 10 minute walk to Zona T.

The hotel staff are very pleasant and helpful. Felipe the manager was the only one that spoke English, so made himself available to help me day or night. Great man! The staff from the maids, bar tender, cooks, doorman, to the front desk always have a smile and are always willing to help. But Felipe assured me that they are receiving memory form mattress toppers in the next 30 days. Around mid July 2012. I arrived early in the morning and as I checked in they offered me breakfast and asked me to fill in my registration. While finishing my coffee they picked up my registration and when I had finished my room was ready and they took me up. Room was great. Cons: The hotel is mostly old and hasn't seen many renovations. Pros: Clean, very good service, convenient location, not expensive. If you are a frequent traveler (as am I) and are looking for the typical business hotel, this is not a good choice because of the old facilities, in that area you should try Pavillion Real or Windsor House.

I have stayed at the Hotel Casa Real twice and I will stay nowhere else in Bogotá as long as they have a vacancy. First, there is the location. It is on a quiet side street, but it is easily accessible to Carrera 11, Carrera 7, Calle 100, and so to the airport, downtown, Chapinero, and generally the main business areas. It is also three or four blocks […] from the restaurants and clubs of the Parque de la 93, and a short hop from Bogotá's premier nightlife area, the Zona Rosa. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Once, during a week-long stay, a blind broke and they fixed it almost immediately. The beds are comfortable, the towels plush. The staff are friendly, helpful, efficient, and professional. Oh, and let's not forget the delicious breakfast buffet. My only complaint refers to their wifi. The first time I was there (one year ago), coverage was spotty. This time, coverage and signal were excellent. The only problem was that the system seemed to be set up so neither of my devices (a netbook and an iPhone) could sign on automatically which was annoying. Read more

staff were very helpful, hotel is pretty secured and good wifi connection. the free breakfast is nice (choice of cereals/fruits/omelets so you won't be disappointed). the close proximity to parque 93 is a big plus (plenty of shops and restaurants). overall, i highly recommend booking a stay here..

The room was large and comfortable. I stayed almost 2 weeks and in an ordinary room would have gone stir crazy. The only reason for the 4 is that its not a 5 star hotel. Its not really a 4 star hotel by US standards either. However the stars don't translate well. Moreover the price was very reasonable by Bogota standards. A real value. The hotel was clean and in a very safe area. Great restaurants within walking distance. The staff were very helpful and professional. The in house restaurant was good, but had a limited menu. The only couple drawbacks were that the hotel was a bit too far from downtown so transporation of some form or another was needed to get to most tourist sites. […] Additionally because of the open design of the interior you could could hear quite clearly the staff talking as they were preparing the breakfast...and we were on the fifth floor! The hotel is located within a few blocks of Parque 93, which is a lively and safe area of Bogota. There were numerous restaurants serving all types of food that surrounded the park on all four sides. Also withing walking distance is a movie theatre which shows films in English. My stay at this hotel was an excellent experience. Everyone on the staff […] were always pleasant and always acknowledged you. The buffet type breakfast was very filling and of high quality. I even met one of the co-owners who also asked me how I was enjoying my stay and if everything was satisfactory. Even when it came to check-out time and I needed to stay longer in my room, it was not a problem. This is about my sixth time visiting Bogota and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Casa Real Hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and good location hotel. I will certainly stay again. Read more

What I would emphasize about this hotel is the high quality of the service provided by all its employees and their excellent attitude towards guests. They […] were all very helpful and friendly and did everything possible to make us feel at home. We were able to hire a driver from the hotel who took us to the most important sites in Bogota. Furthermore, the bedrooms are large, clean, comfortable and they have a small "living room", they are quiet, so it is easy to get a good night sleep after a busy day in the city. The breakfast is excellent and so bountiful that you could even skip lunch. On arrival they had given us a room with two single beds so we got upgraded to the Grand Suite, which was amazing. Each room has its own kitchenette with mini-bar and great amenities. We were able to arrange for a friendly driver to take us anywhere we needed to go - his services were outstanding. The breakfast is delicious, with omelettes and a nice […] bread selection. We also enjoyed the neighbourhood - the park nearby is surrounded by restaurants (some of these are very North American - we hadn't been to Colombia before and this was surprising). Hotel is also in walking distance to Zona Rosa shopping. Highly recommend this hotel as they really look out for you and the surrounding area is green and peaceful. Read more
