It was actaully an excellent location, but the room was small and VERY NOISY! For a 2 star hotel it was expected. The breakfast buffet is a rip off!!! There are excellent cafe's just outside that are delicious and you can feed your whole family for 10 euros! First of all, the hotel's staff is one of the friendliest I have ever encountered. Always willing to help and suggest places to go in the surrounding area. It is conveniently located less than 3 minutes away from Place de Clichy Metro Station and 5 away from Molin Rouge. At night the area is full of life and one feels very secure. They offer a breakfast buffet for €10, which I took and in my opinion was worth it. It includes bread, croissant, cheese, ham, butter, cereal, eggs, orange juice, and coffee. The staff all made me feel welcome- despite my poor French. A problem with the room keycard was sorted without the snobby pomp sometimes found in Paris. No-one pushed me about & the one time I wanted quiet & privacy- I got it without any fuss. The room was straight-forward, clean and warm, quiet, too.

We needed a twin room and the only one available was on the ground floor just off the foyer, so it was noisy from the street. They did say that the number of rooms with twin beds was limited. Good location. Handy for Gare du Nord and also centre (Eiffel Tower Louvre etc) as both are only 4 or 5 stops away on Metro. Round corer from Moulin Rouge and Montmarte area is very nice. Restaurants and bars nearby are reasonably priced. Room quite small but served its purpose.

i took my girlfriend to paris for valentines and expected a nice trip, but as we were travelling towards the hotel a french woman told us we were being followed by two arabic men after our bags so we jumped off the next stop and so did the two men, so we walked round the station and they still followed, we must of walked round the station at least 3 […] times but we jumped on the train before they could get on and escaped when we arrived at place de clichy (the closest stop) lots of arab men were stood around the exit and as soon as we walk towards are hotel i knew we were being followed by lots of them so we jumped in a taxi and the taxi driver act stupid and took us in circles and then he suddenly realized where the hotel was, which was very annoying. basicly the area is full of homless, beggars, thieves and disgusting people always asking for money and they try to grab hold of you. i would recommend the hotel as it was very nice but the area and the people made the experience alot worse. I visited this hotel wiht a friend, we're very happy we chosed this hotel. The rooms aren't very large but that didn't really matter. It's a great area close to the metro. A lot of cozy cafés and resturants nearby. The staff is very helpful aswell. Didn't eat breakfast at the hotell so I don't know the quality of if.

I spent the night from 31.12.11 to 01.01.12 in this hotel and I had no complaints at all, having no problem with a small bath and small hallways. But that`s Paris and this room offers a lot for little money, also the staff is friendly (although most of them only speak french). So thumbs up for the Jean Gabriel!

rooms were acceptable size. conveniently located to metro, reception area is nicest part of hotel. lift was broken down, 5 floors with luggage not ideal, the road was being pulled up outside the hotel, the mugs had not been cleaned in the room.

A typical Parisian hotel that makes a good base. We chose it for its good location - close to Place de Clichy metro station which makes it quick to get around Paris. Not far to walk to Moulin Rouge, but far enough not to be too noisy. Like most Parisian hotels the bedroom was quite small but very comfortable with an en-suite shower room.

Das Hotel Jean Gabriel liegt in einer schmalen Einbahnstrasse (Seitengasse), wo nur ein Auto durchfahten kann. Daher anhalten oder gar parken ist nicht drin. Das Zimmer ist zwar sauber, aber hat Teppichboden mit Flecken darauf. Das Zimmer ist sehr klein und das Bad ebenso. Das Hotelwirbt im Internet mit " Schalisoliertes Zimmer". Davon haben wir aber […] sehr wenig mitbekommen. Um 6 Uhr kam jeden Tag Müllabführ und man hat jedes Grosch gehört. Auch sonst wenn Autos oder lauter Motorräder vorbei fahren, hört man alles. Darüber hinaus gibt es im Hotel keine Parkmöglichkeiten. die gibt es in ca. 100 meter weiter in einem öffentlichen Parkhaus, das 21 Euro pro Tag kostet. Positiv fanden wir die möglichkeit im Zimmer Tee oder kaffe zu Kochen. Read more

This was more like cheap motel than 3 stars hotel! I was very disappointed - Wi-Fi works very slowly and to use it, you should to send registration form! You can use only one device at a time. Bathroom was awful. Even TV remote was sticky! Don't waste your money in this hotel.

Das Hotel ist mit der Metro wunderbar erreichbar, ca. 3min Fußweg bis zur nächsten Station. Es liegt in einer kleinen Seitenstraße, wo es weitestgehend ruhig ist, am Wochenende hört man aber schon auch mal den Lärm der Spätheimkehrer, die am Hotel vorbeilaufen. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind super hilfsbereit und wissen genau, wovon sie reden. […] Ab und zu vielleicht doch um einen kleinen Rat fragen, und sich somit viel Zeit sparen (z.B. Buslinie von den Tuilieries direkt bis zum Hotel rausfinden). Unser Zimmer war jederzeit sehr sauber und das Zimmermädchen hat uns auf Anfrage gerne zwei weitere Bettlaken gegeben, da die Temeperaturen das Schlafen mit der dicken Bettdecke unmöglich gemacht hatten. Das Zimmer war in der Tat sehr klein - wer mit zwei großen Koffern anreist, hätte da schon ein Problem, aber zwei Handgepäckskoffer kriegt man prima unter. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viele Restaurants, Bars, Brasserien, darunter auch wirklich günstige und sehr leckere! Moules frites für 10€ - unschlagbar! Auch um abends einfach mal einfach noch ein Glas Wein zu trinken wird man schnell fündig. Vorsicht allerdings bei Restaurants, die keine Karte ausliegen haben; da kostet die Cola dann doch schnell mal 6€. Vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis her ist dieses Hotel top und nach meiner Erfahrung sehr zu empfehlen! Read more
