I guess you get what you pay for. The hotel was very old with peeling walls. The breakfast, which we had to pay for, was overpriced and some of the worst I had the whole trip. The staff was friendly and helpful but that was the only redeeming quality.

I came to the UK specifically for David Icke's event at the Wembley Arena which I could easily walk to from the hotel. I arrived well before the check-in time of 2:00 PM and the hotel staff graciously made accommodations available for me early as I was tired. It was cold and rainy out and I had no where else I wanted to go. The staff at the hotel restaurant […] were equally gracious and made allowances for me to pay by credit card as I had no cash on me & they were aware I could not tip them on their credit card device. (I tipped them later, but they had to trust me.) When leaving I asked the man at the desk to call me a cab to take me to Heathrow which he accomplished getting me to the correct terminal (I was unaware there were several incorrect ones) in order to catch my flight home. The reviews that Expedia wrote about this hotel were very misleading. This was not a 3 star hotel, maybe 2 star at best. The reviews claimed there was free WI-Fi, which was not true. There was 15 minutes free/ day then it was 13 pounds/ day or 6 pounds/hour, and since I did not have a Euro Mastercard there was no way for me to even purchase this option. […] I was in London to play in a $3,500 buy-in poker tournament and could not even practice or warm-up because of my awful internet situation. To use the internet for an extended period I was forced to go across town to Leicester square where my poker tournament was being held, so I commuted everyday there to use Wi-Fi. Immediately arriving to the hotel, my IHome was fried by the faulty fuse in my room, and will no longer work. The sink would only release hot water while the shower only releasing cold water if any water (Friday my water did not work at all until 3 in the afternoon resulting in me missing a date with a girl I met the night before). There was a very loud party going on next door on Friday night until 4 in the morning, resulting in me getting very little sleep, and missing my flight on saturday because I was not at Heathrow 1 hour early, and no Wi-Fi so I could not check in online for my flight, making me buy another flight, and not to Boston, but to Newark New Jersey, where I took a $122 greyhound bus ride to Portsmouth NH. Is my traveler's insurance not going to cover any of this? Overall the trip/hotel was awful. Read more

The hotel was almost impossible to find. The staff was great but the hotel is in need of some renovations. The rooms were not very clean and the elevators were disgusting. It was just OK. Nothing to call home about. It is sad the hotel is in this condition because the staff was GEAT!

The bed linens were full of grit. If you took a shower with the bathroom door open it set off the fire alarm. That actually happened during our stay. It was disconcerting how mellow the staff was about the fire alarm going off.

Great value for that price. Cleaned every day, comfortable spacious and warm room, big and clean bathroom. Looks a bit old, but everything works well, comfortable bed, hot shower, tea and coffie facilities are nice. 15 mins by tube from the centre of London, many eating places around. Nice bar downstairs with big flat screen (we watched football game […] there). The only disadvantage is limited access to the internet. Ah and there is a construction site just outside so it's noisy in the morning. Other than that, enjoyed the hotel very much. Read more

Very good hotel, extremely convenient for Wembley Stadium and Arena, only a 5 min walk from Wembley Stadium railway station and a 10 min walk from Wembley Central station. We only needed to use the hotel for one night as we needed to stay in London overnight, but nonetheless the hotel was convenient for bus and rail links. Photograph definately taken to advantage. Hotel is very 'tired' looking, inside and out. I booked this hotel knowing that continental breakfast was included. When I checked in the receptionist informed me that there was no mention of this on my confirmation, and therefore after supposedly talking to his manager refused to give us the breakfast.

Very noisy nightclub/party next to hotel. We had to move rooms at 2am to get some sleep. If this hadn't happened I would consider using hotel again as hotel itself was fine.

Great location for getting into Central London. Hotel very comfortable and clean. Staff very welcoming and accommodating and happy to help where they can. Breakfast very good whether it be a continental breakfast or full English. Lounge/bar areas well appointed. Very good standard of budget hotel. Not a noisey hotel by any means.

Not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. Our stay here served its purpose of a place to sleep while visiting central London, and Wembley tube being only 3 mins walk was ideal. Our family room was clean, tidy and spacious, and although only single glazed was comfortably warm. We didn't pay the £13.95 for breakfast instead choosing mcdonalds […] just a stones throw away. Free parking was included in our deal, but the number of spaces are limited and people just tend to courteously park their cars wherever they can find room. The hotel staff were all lovely, we had a problem getting our card to work to open the door. we went to reception and told of the problem. the key was changed and reprogrammed, but still didnt work. within 10mins the maintanence man was reprogramming the door, the key worked and we thought everything was fine until we came back in from a days sightseeing. […] the key failed us again and took us about 10mins to eventually get in to our room. Not sure what the problem was there? The only comment i could make on the cleanliness of the room was there was a big stain of tea or friut juice on the wall next to the bed. When we checked in the hotel claimed we didn't have breakfast included. However, every option on booking was with breakfast. Admittedley our confirmation email did not have breakfast on it. However, the attitude of the manager was a disgrace. His first words were, we have informed the web site that we do not include breakfast so this cannot be resolved.When […] i asked to use the internet, he wouldn't let me use the reception one but told me i would have to pay to use the public one in the lobby, another example of his attitude. Whilst all this was going on, another guest came in and said she had had the same problem with her booking, and the manager said to go away as it has nothing to do with her! Finally, whilst i was on hotels.com looking for the booking detais he raised his voice to my wife and insulted his own receptionist. he relented on the breakfast when i showed him that HIS hotel had no option other than a room with breakfast. he threw our cards down in temper behind the desk and walked into the back office. We found out the next morning that he apologised to the other woman, but didnt feel inclined to apologise to us, despite behaving poorly in front of our children. Read more

Its a great value hotel, with large rooms and helpful staff. We were given a smoking room although we'd requested non smoking and as we had young children with us, this was a bit annoying. Would use them again but would insist on a non smoking room. The hotel was perfectly situated for access into central London, with a tesco a few minutes walk away […] and lots of pubs and restaurants locally. First impressions of the hotel were worrying, but that's due to the exterior appearance of the hotel and car park. However, the interior is much better.
