the first thing I need to say is the smell of this room (258) was much better than the room in the south La Quinta. That one was nothing but clorex. Now for the bathroom cleaning in this bathroom is much to be desired. hair behind the door, in the bathtub and around the toilet and it was not ours-we just check in. We were there for my daughters graduation […] and she would not even bathe there. Another sad sad item was Friday late night going into Saturday AM (2:00AM-3:00AM) loud, very loud partying going on our in the parking lot. so loud that it woke my entire family up to where my husband went and open the door which did not phase anyone in the parking. He tried calling the front desk and it rang for quiet a long time with no one answering on the other end. Yes, I told the front desk who assured me it would not happen Saturday night into Sunday. WELL, my aunt was staying in frrom 103 and at 3:00AM she was awoken to someone saying "don't fight, don't fight" and she immediately called the front desk and the person maning the desk came immediately and also the ambulance was almost right behind him. Not sure what happen after that. I personally have never stayed at any hotel that this has ever happen to before. This hotel is old and worn, but the price is low. You get what you pay for. The beds were fairly comfortable. The floor numbering made no sense. The 200 level was directly above the 400 level. If you need a place to sleep and are not expecting anything else, this is a good deal. Otherwise, spend a little more and stay in a nicer place.

YUK! It felt like student backpacking in Europe. We like staying at La Quintas, which are not 4 star, but are great value for the money. But never again at Tallahassee North. The tub had a wet, used soap wrapper sitting in the drain, and the floor covering was peeling back, so hairs were stuck all over it. Good size room , sheets were stained, bathroom dirty and disgusting. The breakfast bar was just cereal, frozen pancakes, muffins and bagels. What do you expect for $60. Spend a few dollars more and go elsewhere. Won't stay here again.

Nasty! Wouldn't recommend it if cleanliness is a priority. Front desk area was gross...dirty mop head laying in the middle of lobby, doors filthy, floor and walls terribly dirty. If I wasn't so tired and already had a reservation, I woulda turned around before stepping over the dirty mophead to get to the front desk. the breakfast was good, but was an afterthought when it comes to space. there were only 6 tables in the lobby with 2-3 chairs each, and had to ask for supplies while the hostess was talking with the desk clerk.

This hotel is run down and old. The bed was well worn and the room noisy. Doors are on the outside of each room and the cars are about 4 feet away in the parking lot. Single pane glass and old doors do not a secure quiet room make. They pass off lots of processed foods as breakfast. I have stayed in much nicer La Quinta inns than this one. From the outside, hotel looks old. On the inside of the room, it was quite nice. The nicest hotel I've ever stayed in the price range. Bed was really comfortable. Pillow top I think. I will definitely stay there again if I am in the area.

After checking out we went to visit with our son. We had brunch and spend sometime together before heading out to our home in Miami. After about 30 miles out my wife realized that she has forgotton our ipad. Inmediatly we turned around and called the hotel. Gave them our room number and told them where it was in the room. The room was supposed to be a non-smoking room but it smelled like they had smoking party in there. I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and when I turned the lights on, little roaches scurrying around and crawling on the walls. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much after that. Have been staying for years at another hotel in this area for 19 years but my son kept getting sick after our stays so we decided to try this one. It's the same age so I didn't expect much. If I had, I would have been dissapointed. Staff is nice but rooms are old. New carpet is needed. Mattresses smell old. Fairly clean but has that old air conditioner […] smell. Rooms are quite small and cramped. Out of fairness I do need to say that no one got sick on this overnight stay like has happened multiple times at the other hotel in the area. Read more

Immediately after checkin, I advised front desk I had no remote. I went to the desk to advise them. I left hotel for about 8 hours and came back to the hotel that evening and still no T.V. remote. I went down to second shift desk attendant who reached in a drawer and gave me a remote with batteries. My husband and I have stayed at the La Quinta North for the past 3 years when we travel to Tallahassee for Seminole home games. This was our first time going up this year and the decline of the hotels condition was significant. It was dirty, no hot water and our bathroom door scratched along the bottom of the floor so much it was almost impossible to […] move it. So, either the maid is not cleaning the bathroom or they simply don't care enough to fix it. Worse, the staff was generally unaffected by my feedback on the room and did nothing to try to make things right. I called the La Quinta customer care office and filed a complaint. Easily accessible to the interstate and most portions of the city. The price was better than expected for the thanksgiving holidays and the king bedroom was comfy and spacious. Any complaints are minor and weren't enough to change my opinion of the stay. Pet friendly at no extra charge!
