Inn on the Square - Cape Town

The hotel is in a great location. It is fun to sit on the terrace and watch all of the activity in Green Market Square. The rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms have an odd door configuration. The lunch menu is great with sizable portions and a professional wait staff.

Hotel on a market square. Primarily African art and handicrafts. Be warned, the vendors think that non-Africans have more dollars than sense. I didn't bother to negotiate to find a final sale price, since the asking prices were so high that, even at 1/2 the price, the goods were overpriced. My room was slightly small, but very nice. Don't expect internet […] connection except when most people are not around, or are asleep. Overall, a very good value for the Expedia-negotiated price. Evenings are cool in the springtime (October). I have stayed at the Inn on the Square for 6 nights in December as I was attending a tradeshow in Cape town. the hotel met and exceeded my expectations at so many levels. Here are a few of the highlights: The hotel is very strategically located in a well lite and busy area (Green Market square) which makes for a very safe and enjoyable atmosphere, you […] can stroll around the streets and there are many restaurants to sample from on Longstreet which is 1/2 block away. Also their is an artisan market just outside the hotel for buying african art and craft (how convenient is that). The hotel is 10-15 from V&A waterfront, the convention center is a 12 min walk and the airport is about 15min taxi ride. The hotel is modern and the rooms were up to international standards I am used to. the room maybe a bit smaller relative to north american hotels, but again it was enough for me and had a full work desk and a side table and chair. The staff were just outstandingly friendly and very helpfull. They always delivered on their promise and were very cheerful. they booked us taxi rides, tickets to Roben island and were very responsive. Read more

The hotel was very clean and the facilities decent. Its location is very central - just beside Greenmarket Square, and near to the trainstation, Artscape, the V&A Waterfront and loads of good shopping and restaurants. The staff were very friendly.

Firstly, we booked 4 rooms spend the night because I live in Jo'burg and have not seen my brothers and sister for some time. We were separated 2 rooms on the 3rd floor and 2 rooms on the 7th floors. I begged them to put us together but all they could say is the rooms were prebooked. Vi har bott på hotellet ett par gånger och tycker att det är prisvärt med mycket bra service i receptionen och med ett bra läge i Kapstaden. Kommer absolut att bo här igen! Finns inte mycket att "klaga" på, utom möjligen att badrummen är väldigt små om det nu är ett problem ???!

Der Vorteil des Hotels ist seine zentrale Lage, allerdings muss man sich damit abfinden, dass die Händler frühmorgens auf dem Markt ihre Stände aufbauen, was mit etwas Geräusch verbunden ist. Der Service lag zwischen "ausgezeichnet" bis "na..ja", je nach handelnder Person. Alles in Allem: Empfehlenswert, wir waren schon das zweite Mal dort.

tres joli hotel, situé sur une petite place ou a lieu un marche africain, demandé a etre situé a l'arriere de l'hotel pour etre plus tranquille.les chambres sont propres et le personnel très accueillant. Resto a coté sympa mais il faut attendre un certain temps avant d'être servi.

Ausgezeichnete Lage direkt am Green Market. Das Hotel wurde in 2011 neu renoviert. Das Zimmer und das Bad im 8.Stock mit Blick auf den Green Market waren sehr klein. Ein typisches Hotel für Geschäftreisende, dennoch wegen der Lage auch für Urlauber für 1-2 Nächte zu empfehlen.
