"True 5-Star stay, but mixed experience with kids"
We (mixed french/danish family of 4 with 2 small children) had a great 4-night stay there. There are very few bad things to point out. Its a true international 5-star resort with a large variety of restaurants, pools etc. All great and the kids club is fabulous. The international angle takes away most of the local flavor - like it or not. The reason […] we are not giving this a full five on all points is that we were rejected at a restaurant which on one night was adults-only. This was not advertised very well and doing so could have saved us a rather embarrasing rejection at the entrance door. Though I can rationally understand that the resort wants to give honeymooners (and other adults) some peace, the adults-only concept is very alien and bordering on the offensive to a Scandinavian. The adults-only applies to one of the pools as well - in fact the one nearest our otherwise wonderful suite. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful hotel villas are spacious and the bathrooms stunning. Staff are lovely and the facilities great - shame that not much to do in kids club apart from computer games unless you want to pay extra but the children still had funGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"This is our 2nd visit and again outstanding"
Totally relaxing with 3 children, staff were amazing and facilities great.Genuine Expedia guest review
We are expats who love to travel. We have been to many different countries and stayed in many different hotel chains. We keep coming back to Marriott because we know what we are getting, no matter where we are in the world: clean rooms, good service, and a comfortable place to stay. This particular hotel was phenomenal. We were concerned initially to […] travel to Thailand, knowing that water quality is an issue [and we have infant twins and were concerned that they might drink the bath water]. Everything was fabulous, though. Complementary water is given out each day by the maid service. The hotel restaurants are clean and we never got sick in the 2 weeks we were there. We booked excursions and ate at the restaurants they took us to, and no one had any problems. Every person we encountered at the hotel, from the front desk people to the cleaning staff, were friendly and helpful. We had a 2-bedroom villa that was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. The facilities, from the lobby decor and torches at the front entrance, to the pools and lush landscaping, were gorgeous. Our children, 13, 10, and infants, all felt welcome at the kids' club. It was a great vacation. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic Resort - Paradise in Phuket"
This hotel is amazing. The Marriott Phuket Beach Club shares the grounds of the JW Marriott. We had a 2 bedroom villa which was beautifully appointed. The beach club rooms are all garden villas with only a short walk to the pools/ beach. The gardens are amazing - the best I have ever seen in any resort. Our 2 boys aged 11 and 8 loved the kids club even […] though it was undergoing refurbishment and was temporarily relocated for our stay. They went 4 times during our 8 day stay, and as it was open until 8pm, we even managed to have an early romantic dinner as a couple at Ginja restaurant (which was outstanding). We ate at all of the restaurants (although never ate at the buffet) and thought they were of the quality they should be for a five star resort. Prices were reasonable - Siam Deli was a favorite as it covered all bases. The pools were amazing - loved all 3. The gym was also great. Turtle Cove shopping was only a short walk away - we had breakfast at the Coffee Club a couple of times which was good value for money. We booked a day tour to Phi Phi / Maya Beach / Ko Phi Phi Le (swimming in that lagoon was surreal) through the resort. It was hassle free and well organized - being picked up and dropped back at the resort was worth what we paid. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review
宿泊料金に見合ったホテルでした 朝食ビュッフェは、ちょっとお高いかな でも、プールサイドで注文したピザは焼きたてで美味しかったので 毎日食べちゃいました ピザ窯のそばで注文するといいですGenuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review

Stayed here for 3 nights with my family with 2 children. We had great stay. The rooms has 2- bedroom, a living room, kitchenette and a big balcony. It has washing machine and a dryer (very useful). The rooms are spacious. Master bedroom comes with a big toilet and another toilet for common use. The utensils, cutlery, bread toaster, coffee maker ,microwave oven, pots and pans.... everything are in good condition and clean. You can be assured to use them freely. The surrounding is serene and quiet. Good for relaxation. We had great fun too! The resort provides sports activities and even zumba, aqua zumba and kids zumba exercise every day! The coach is Nadia (if I spell correctly) and she is very professional and good and friendly too. There is also a library for the small kids with computer games. No worry for your small ones, they have experienced staff to take care of them. Bicycles are free for use for 45 mins and a staff to guide you around the hotel premises and beach! Super good staff..... they are friendly and helpful. There was a day with heavy downpours, our kids and other kids could not do outdoor sports, the hotel staff helped to plan a table tennis competition for them! The kids enjoyed very much. We were so impressed by the hotel high standard of hospitality. You can even leave your kids to play within the hotel premises. It is very safe.

We visited this property in the last week of November 2014 and we had an awsome relaxed stay. The property is lush and has a kids club where you can leave the kids so that they enjoy and are occupied. We booked a 2 bedroom villa which was very spacious with 2 bedrooms and also had a small kitchen which came really handy with my children. The breakfast spread is also good. A must try is book a table at the Ginja Thai restuarant and massage by the beach for 400 bhat. U can also hire or drive your own car and we did that from the resort. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful and we were so impressed that we bought a timeshare from them again for next year.

We stayed 7 nights in their 2 bedroom villa with kitchen. This is a beach front property with a life guard (within a marked area). So, we got a bit daring in our beach time (we are not avid sea swimmers). They have few water sports in Nov-April at a nominal cost.. (canoeing is free) Kids had a good time in the kids club with lots of activities (mostly free and few chargeable). Some examples of free activities are: Book mark making, Key ring making, Kids Hair style (braiding), Thai Dancing, Thai boxing introduction, Thai Dessert Making, Basic Swimming introduction, etc Some paid activities are across days (3 classes etc), so plan ahead. Adults have a great line up of activities too. I did a Hatha Yoga. Some interesting free activities: Basic Thai language, Aqua aerobic, Thai massage introduction, Animal towel folding, Salsa Dancing introduction etc etc. Let me leave out some for you to discover :) The concierge arranged us a great car company (Maybe I should do a separate review on them) and it was a good deal. My belief that five star hotel's concierge always provide the vendors at higher-than-market-rate shattered. I would trust them to book tours/cars with guest's best interests. There is a shuttle every 15 mins to Turtle market. There were a couple of black marks - Main pool ran out of towels on a busy Saturday afternoon and the pool-bar staff's reply on that was not courteous (we had 2 wet kids in hand!), Our room's lamp shade was cracked on side which showed up when lit, my room did not have activity sheet, in-room menu card on arrival and I had to phone them for it.. BUT these don't deter me from giving them 5. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay.
"Paradise in Thailand"

My wife and I recently spent 8 delightful days at the mariott in Phuket. We loved it. The property is laced out so you have the choice of several different pools and even chairs that you can take closer to the beach. The layout of the property enhances privacy and creates many get a way spaces. The beach is beautiful. Interesting there are no chairs set up on the beach. I'm guessing this has to do with zoning laws. The staff were exceptionally nice all the time. Which is truly amazing. The Thai restaurant on the property delivered tasty and good food. We ate at the Grill restaurant and found it grossly over priced. Mariott needs to do something about that. The deli served up fresh breakfast and superb coffee. We had one buffet breakfast and that was enough. Mass quantities of food. The room was nicely appointed. We had a ground floor terrace with garden view. The room was spacious ,comfortable and had a great view of the garden. However it was noisy. Noise traveled easily fro the room upstairs and next to us. We had to call and complain about a party next door. Staff were responsive and within 10 mins it was quiet. We liked our stay and would return. Overall this is a beautifully designed resort on a spectacular beach. Mariott sparred no expense in decorating and the landscape design. It's a delight to sit and just look at one of several reflecting pools. Its big. Not boutique. However well worth considering for your holiday.
"Another Fabulous Stay..."

Just returned from another 2 week visit to the Marriott Phuket Beach Club, Have stayed here several times before and as always almost everything was excellent. The only negative is the poor entertainment, the hotel is big enough to have some great live music at least every other night. We visited Sala hotel (2 minutes away) on Sunday for dinner, they had a great jazz band so well worth a visit. Order the seafood platter, really special with lobster, prawns, crab etc.. We also hired a car which is a little scary as road safety not the greatest but was super to get around the Island, even though two blondes and one from essex did tend get lost a little too often!! We had two great evenings in the Siam Supper Club in Laguna, great jazz on a Monday night but you will need to book. Nikki Beach is another must on a Sunday afternoon, great music and not so pricey like some other Nikki Beaches. The spa at the Marriott is second to none and although expensive is worth at least one visit, however you can get massage at the beach for about 6 euros so can treat yourself everyday as we did. A special thanks to Mai from the lobby bar who helped us so much with advice on places to visit and helped to keep our glasses full!! So back to work now to save for the next trip!! x

Once again we are back to Phuket. This time we chose the Mariott as we had read nice reviews about the hotel. When we arrived phuket we were bit surprised that the hotel was so near to the airport as we had stayed in Patong Beach the last time. But on arriving the hotel, it was breath taking, wonderful reception and place was huge. Loved it at first sight. We checked in, loved the room as there are many room types to choose from. we got a pool view. Pool was huge and facing the sea. The staff in the hotel was very friendly and warm. There were also a few different restaurants to choose from, which was good so we didnt have to leave the hotel and go out for diner. Loved the place and will be staying here always now.
"Best vacation choice, if you enjoy serenity"

Marriott. Upon hearing this brand name, we expect quality. Well, the pressure is definitely there for the staff. But in this resort, you can be sure they have work hard and mean business for it. I was given a free stay from a friend for this place and to be frank, initially I was a lil disappointed at its location when I arrived. It is approx an hour drive away from Patong, the busiest district in Phuket. Me and my travel mates have to rent a car for easy accessibility from Marriott to Patong. The staffs are very helpful and courteous, not to mention they have staffs who speak many languages for international guests. Our room is a 2 bedroom unit, attached with a kitchen. I personally like the big king-size bed and the master-bedroom toilet. Feels like a king indeed, haha. The location may be a lil off but what it makes up is a private beach of your own. Water is cleaner, beach is quieter - Welcome to Paradise. I have to admit if you are the type who enjoy serenity and privacy, you are gonna love it here. Although my friends do resent the trouble of shuffling between Patong and Marriot, but no doubt they do agree it is an awesome resort. So in all, I feel it is worth to stay at least once if you frequent Phuket. Of course, please identify your travelling partners' holiday agendas first before deciding here, just to prevent unnecessary small brawls and pillow fights among group..... LIKE US! lol
"Makes Europe Marriotts seem so poor"
11/19/14 Dave M Rugeley
I have been coming here for over ten years, in total 6 or 7 times, always on the left-hand side of the resort near the beach (avoid the mossies on the right hand side because the steam is too slow) and this place never fails to take my breath away. I come with my family and sometimes with friends and they love it. My wife is Thai and for her this is Thailand as it should be. It is not enough to say that the staff are friendly, they are Thais as they really are in the wild. I always feel as if I matter and nothing is too much. Comparing this to Marriotts we have stayed in Europe and the USA, it was walking into another world. A lot has been added in the last decade, nearly all to the detriment i.e. more hotels and the Turtle Village tourist rip-off but some parts have improved and it virtually has its own beach (see the Ghost Crabs). Sure Marriott is expensive and slavering with greed as usual but you do not have to pay them though the nose if you get a car and get out to Tesco Lotus just down the road.
