This is a "location saisonniere" which means no daily cleaning of the apt, no 24/7 reception! But you could cook your own food, do some hand-washing (other units had washing machines but not ours). We liked it after the initial surprise (no info when I made the reservation). St Francois is a little harbor town, kind of like Paimpol in Brittany. More older couples but nice & quiet! Pool was very clean and fairly big. Close to restaurants & shopping and not too far from the beach. Harbor on one side of the residence and on the other side of the road, a golf course! Nice surroundings if you want to rent a car. For better beaches, stay in St Anne or Gosier.

My first visit to a Caribbean / European country. Nice hotel in the little island of Guadeloupe. Glad i made this choice, Internet service was decent -- pretty good bandwidth and wi-fi coverage for business travelers. By the way, french is useful ;-) , second choice would be Spanish... and if you get lucky you can find somebody that speaks English... Loved […] the hotel, loved my vacation. Highly Recommended. My room had a fully-stocked kitchen, by the way. which i didn't use, but it's there. Read more

Cela fait plusieurs séjours que je passe au Prao, seul ou bine en famille. Il s'agit d'une résidence hôtelière très correcte et idéalement bien située au Gosier, sur la Pointe de la Verdure. Une très jolie plage est accessible directement depuis l'hôtel, et il y a également deux piscines de taille correcte. Les chambres sont simples mais très fonctionnelles, […] avec deux salles de douche. Le linge est changé tous les jours, y compris les draps. La kitchenette, située sur le balcon, est moyennement bien équipée, mais elle suffit pour préparer le petit déjeuner ou des repas simples. Le Prao fait partie d'un ensemble de trois hôtels situés sur le même site (les deux autres étant le Salako et le Clipper), et il n'y a aucune animation dans ces hôtels. Ce ne sont donc pas des hôtels pour tourisme de masse, ni pour voyageurs souhaitant s'amuser dans l'hôtel du matin au soir! Les deux restaurants sont maintenant ouverts midi et soir, mais je déconseille formellement le restaurant "la Saintois" qui s'apparente vraiment à une cantine. Vous pouvez par contre profiter de l'autre restaurant-snack, "le Pélican", situé face à la plage. Read more

Très bien niveau hébergement mais la restauration laisse à désirer, éviter d'y manger le midi, heureusement il y a la kitchenette. Ah! et accès plage impossible avec un poussette, portillon accès handicapé fermé

Pas de bruit exterieur . seul défaut :climatisation un peu bruyante!. Hôtel vieillot avec immeubles dans un état décrépi. La chambre suite est spacieuse et énorme point positif : le wifi est inclus et fonctionne très bien. J'étais en voyage d'affaires et c'est très utile (d'autant plus qu'aucun des autres hôtels de Gosier ne propose le wifi dans la chambre). Par contre, ignoble odeur d'eau de javel en arrivant dans la […] chambre, donc j'ai appelé la réception pour qu'ils envoient qqun et j'attends toujours... Climatisation qui fait un boucan d'enfer et ne fonctionne que dans la chambre (donc au final on n'utilise pas le petit séjour). Lit relativement confortable.
