This place is a dump. The surrounding area us sketchy at best. And for $115/night I would have had a better night at a motel 6. I'm not kidding. The TVs are aged, WIFI is slow if functional, the beds are broken and can feel the springs I had to put the comforter of the other bed to keep the springs from bring felt. My problem was at the price there should of been a free breakfast, I have stayed at many other motels that do include a free breakfast. Our stay was good but $15.00 each for breakfast and our overnite stay was over $100.00 that is over priced.

The hotel was extremely over priced compared to most other locations I have stayed. We also had an issue with other guests fighting in the hallway during the nught and the hotel staff refused to do anything about it after several calls.

The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The server even allowed a discounted rate for the buffet since I didnt eat much. We were in town to attend the College basketball experience in downtown KCMO so the hotel was very nearby the highway and only a 3min drive. We booked two King Rooms. When we got there we were given two Queen Rooms. When asked we were told that the hotel considered them as King Rooms. They said that we could complain to Expedia and maybe get some money back. I was not at all pleased by the attitude of the clerks on duty.

Understaffed during our stay. Unfortunate considering there were no large events nearby. Hot tub did not work nor did there appear to be any effort to repair it. Very clean hotel! Not really close to any type of shopping or attractions we were interested in, probably would not stay there again.

I made the reservation, then last week I called the hotel directly to ask if we could come a night early. " No problem", was the reply. The desk clerk said that our room would be put under one confirmation smothered wasn't any confusion. We get to the hotel and there's no record of this conversation, only a statement by the clerk that it must be our […] fault since there's two confirmation numbers. My wife had to point it out. Was told again that to avoid any problems, our room would be under one number. Get to room and it is a single! Call front desk and was told again that it was our fault. Once again, no apology and that we had to go back downstairs for a different key. No apology. Heavy bags and all, we go back to our room,the correct one this time...after driving 7 hours. No apology, but was reassured that it wouldn't happen again. We went sight seeing the next day and returned to our room to find that we were locked out! Another trip downstairs and was told once AGAIN, that it was our fault. No Apology, nothing. The food in the dining room is very over priced and barely etable. We loved Kansas City but would never recommend this hotel. We are both in the retail business and know that an apology goes a long way. Hated the hotel for this reason. Service and overall helpfulness was unpleasant. Front desk was watching tv and did not offer assistance once they were found instead continued watching. A case of empty beer cans were left in the swimming area. Large dark stains were on the mattress and linens. I stay in kc once a month and there are so many good hotels. I'd look elsewhere. Hotel was great, service in the dinner room was the slowest I have ever experienced. We will not return as the parking did not work for our big truck all spots to park are for compact cars it appears. The parking lot is very safe and locked though.

I was coming into Kansas City from Des Moines for only one night to attend a concert at the Sprint Center downtown. I knew I'd want to take a taxi to the show to avoid parking and after-concert downtown traffic. This hotel was very close to the action and affordable. The BIG draw for me was the free parking for guests (an unusual perk for downtown KC#. […] This parking was in a parking ramp #even better). The area around the hotel, though lacking dining or entertainment attractions seemed quiet and safe. The hotel ammenities are rather spartan, but very adequate. The attached parking area was great, but I'm not sure yet if it was free as there is a pending charge on my card. I was not told about this and am wondering for what I am being (or going to be) charged. The room was excellent for the most part, but the temperature of the room was very hard to regulate. Prior to our visit we were told by relatives that the hotel was in a bad area of town. But, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the area was very clean and seemingly safe. Although the area was in the older area it was still in good shape. We would stay here again.
