The Al Ponte Mocenigo is all that you could desire for the most pleasant stay in Venice. The hosts/owners could not be more charming & accommodating. The location is terrific - less than half a football field from the #1 vaporetto & airport water taxi stop, in a quiet neighborhood, but minutes walk from Rialto Bridge, etc. Room was large, lovely traditional […] furnishings including Murano chandeliers, delicious large breakfast included, great restaurants near by. The A/C in the hotel annex was the best in Venice, almost as cool as an American hotel. (Most of Venice has poor A/C.) Can get to hotel lobby from San Stae water bus stop without carrying bags up and down bridges. But no elevators in the annex.

First of all, I have to tell you to abandon your maps when you visit Venice. I lost my directions to this hotel and all I knew was that it was along the Grand Canal, about halfway between Ponte Rialto and the St. Lucia train station. With that little bit of information we found it with almost no problem. It's right behind a vaporetto stop, too, if you […] don't want to walk. The hotel is well-maintained and even though we were given the worst room in the hotel (they admitted it), the beautiful wooden beams across the ceiling, fabric headboard, and painted armoir made up for it. The confusing part was that every time we left the hotel we had to leave our key at the front desk and we were never told why. Judging by the metal fence around the courtyard, however, I assumed it was so no one could steal our key and break in. It was about 1km to Rialto, 1.5 to San Marco and the gondolas, and 1km to the train station. My one serious complaint is that the first step of the bridge to get to the hotel was too short to put your foot on, so you had to step up sideways or go to the second step, and that was the same for exiting so it was a bit dangerous. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the breakfast as our train left before we had the opportunity to enjoy it, but the eating area looked very nice. Read more

I loved this hotel. We took the Alilaguna orange line from the airport directly to San Stae on the Grand Canal. We walked 30 m streight ahead and turned in to a very narrow alley and were there. The room was lovely and very clean. The second day the owner moved us to a larger room for no extra charge. We had a wonderful breakfast every day and one afternoon the owner made latte for us. It was a 10 minute walk to Rilto bridge and 15 minute walk to St Marks.The hotel is in a quiet area. The owners are active and one of them was always there for us, giving helpful advice and directions as to restaurants, places to go and shopping. There is a little wine shop around the corner where you can buy wine in liter water bottles for a very reasonable price. The internet worked fine. When we checked out the staff also helped with luggage to the Alilaguna. We were going on a cruise and had large heavy suitcases. The only negative that I can think of is that the beds were very hard. The owner was going to put an egg crate cover on our bed but somehow never did. I would stay there again. Read more

Our stay at Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo was a pleasure in every sense. I brought my daughter here for a winter Venice experience and we were not disappointed! The explanations on how to get to the hotel were spot on and we found it without a problem even though we arrived at 10pm in December. We loved wandering around the neighborhood and getting to the main sites (Rialto and P. San Marco) was very easy. Everyone, from the morning breakfast servers, to the night manager, to of course the owners was gracious to a fault and I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo to a friend. The two owners (?) are welcoming and helpful-as r the breakfast staff and other reception folks. The rooms are lush and decedant Venetian with gilded mirrors, ornate furniture and plush bed covers. We had a perfect three nights in Venice staying at this hotel. The owners were very welcoming and helpful with things like restaurant reservations and boat bus numbers. Our room was in the annexe - about a minute walk away - not a problem. It had a spotlessly clean bathroom and a sofa in a separate room. My only criticism was that that the bed was a […] bit too hard and I would have liked the air conditioning to be working as we had to have the window open which meant that it was not possible to sleep beyond 8am when people started going by. Other than that it was very quiet. The hotel is, as I say, in a quiet part of the city but only two mins walk from San STae stop where the water boat bus from the airport lands you and about five mins walk to the Rialto bridge. This was the third hotel we stayed in for our 2 weeks holiday in Italy and all picked from Hotel.com. It was a quaint boutique hotel set in a residential neighborhood. Quiet, serene and far from the madding crowd. Service was good and friendly. The hotel was full when we checked in on 30th march and stayed till 1st April. It was a great stay.

別館3階の部屋に泊まりました。部屋は、値段の割にはかわいい内装で、清潔にしてありました。チェックインした後、２つの部屋から選ばせてくれるなど、全体的に対応もよかったです。駅からvaporettoで3駅目ですが、駅からすぐなのでアクセスも悪くなく、コスパはとてもいいと思います。個人的には、受付を通らず、裏口から自由に出られるのが、便利でした。近くにあるosteria mocenigoのイカスミパスタは相当うまかったですので、お試しあれ。

Rien à redire, tout était bien, très bon accueil, chambre propre et très calme, petit déj très correct, personnel souriant et disponible. On sent que c'est un hotel qui tourne rond, c'est bien géré et ça se remarque tout de suite. C'est tout ce que l'on demande d'un hotel finalement. Notre séjour était du 27 au 31 Octobre 2011. Hotel situé dans un quartier […] calme, à 20 minutes de la place Saint Marc et très central pour l'île, qui nous a permis de découvrir Venise et la lagune. Notre chambre était situé dans l'annexe (à deux pas, dans la rue San Stae, mais pas sur l'axe touristique qui traverse la rue San Stae, donc au calme !), d'extérieur un peu austère, l'intérieur s'est révélé identique à l'hotel principal, décoré avec goût et évidemment très bien entretenu. Al Ponte Mocenigo a joué une grande part dans l'agrément de notre séjour. Encore une fois, rien à redire, j'y retournerai sans aucune hésitation. Read more
