This was a lovely hotel that had the feel of a Bed and Breakfast. Delicious breakfast daily. Comfy beds with quilts.

I always love this folksy comfy inn. It feels as if you are a traveler in olden times warming at the hearth having a breakfast in the pub and a wine before you go to bed. You pull a fluffy quilt over you and feel right at home in one of the biggest cities in America.

I had planned on staying in another hotel in Boston, and switched at the last minute to the Kendall hotel. I'm extremely glad that I did. The location was super convenient (less than a block to the T stop), and on a line that runs very frequently. This hotel is furnished beautifully, I loved the vintage firehouse decor mixed with modern twists. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was nice. They do have parking and that's $25/night, but the only other parking garage is $30/night. I didn't get to eat at their restaurant, "The Black Sheep" so, I cannot give feedback there. We stayed for 2 nights just after Christmas. Our daughters (11 & 13) were a bit under-the-weather but we made the most of our stay. The Kendall is lovely and the people are friendly and helpful. Enjoyed spending time reading by the fire in the lobby. Breakfast was delicious.

We stay at this hotel at least once a year and always have a wonderful stay. It has a great location for a wide spectrum of restaurants and is near a movie theater that shows lots of Indie and foreign films.

The staff wes very helpful and cheerful. The room was exceptionaly comfortable. Getting there in late December from the Virgin Islands, if it was cold and drafty, we would have noticed. And the breakfast was really really good. We would definately stay there again.

The Kendall Hotel was a great choice for our stay in Cambridge. Our room was lovely and had a small sitting room separate from the bedroom. The only complaint we have would be the amount of noise that filters in and out of the rooms. The first time we stayed at the Kendell Hotel we stayed on the 6th floor yet near the elevator. My husband, toddler son and I stayed in a room a few nights ago.The room was clean, aesthetically charming, and the hotel was conveniently located to public transportation.The continental breakfast was very good as far hotel breakfast buffets go, but not comparable to eating at a restaurant.Here are a few issues we had with the hotel: Upon check-in, […] we were told that they were sold out for the night so we would be "upgraded" from our reserved room of 2 queen beds to a room with a king bed and a pull-out.We booked our room many months before, paid in full, and checked-in exactly at 3pm.Inspite of this, we were the lucky ones chosen to be "upgraded" without prior notice.Needless to say, the person who made this decision is not a parent of a 2 year old.Unless your hotel carries bed rails for safety, they should assume a parent will sleep with their toddler for safety reasons.My husband slept on the pull-out in which EVERY spring made a mark on his back.He woke up in the middle of the night to take an Aleve due to back pain.The king size bed was only marginally more comfortable.The mattress was very hard and by the middle of the night, I too, had back pain.The only difference is that I didn't take a pain reliever because I'm pregnant.On the bright side, the pain I endured from the mattress isn't as bad as labor pain.Then again, my copayment to have a baby is the same as one night's fee at the Kendall Hotel, and at the end of my hospital stay I will have more than an aching back.
