This was a lovely hotel that had the feel of a Bed and Breakfast. Delicious breakfast daily. Comfy beds with quilts.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I always love this folksy comfy inn. It feels as if you are a traveler in olden times warming at the hearth having a breakfast in the pub and a wine before you go to bed. You pull a fluffy quilt over you and feel right at home in one of the biggest cities in America.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent hotel, great location though bit pricey"
I had an excellent experience at The Kendall near MIT. I choose it primarily due to its location. But it was very comfortable and nice otherwise as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great character hotel for a change of pace..."
We loved staying at the Kendall Hotel. It is in a very good location, has loads of character and my kids and I loved the restaurant! We will definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"wonderful hotel, great location"
I had planned on staying in another hotel in Boston, and switched at the last minute to the Kendall hotel. I'm extremely glad that I did. The location was super convenient (less than a block to the T stop), and on a line that runs very frequently. The hotel was impeccably clean, and my room was both adorably decorated and very comfortable. The staff […] was super accommodating (arranging early check-in, looking up restaurants...). The breakfast was delicious. I will definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Historical yet trendy hotel!"
This hotel is furnished beautifully, I loved the vintage firehouse decor mixed with modern twists. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was nice. They do have parking and that's $25/night, but the only other parking garage is $30/night. I didn't get to eat at their restaurant, "The Black Sheep" so, I cannot give feedback there. It is not a large […] hotel by any means, but very quaint and inviting. I would stay there again :-) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Kendall is our First Choice Always"
We have stayed @ the Kendall many times and prefer it to any other hotel we've stayed at in Cambridge. It is a lovely boutique hotel that pays attention to details. The breakfast is great!Genuine Expedia guest review
Great place. 40 yards or so from the Kendell/MIT T station. Cambridge is quiet and safe. Unique hotel and helpful staff. Highly recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely place...not your cookie-cutter hotel"
We stayed for 2 nights just after Christmas. Our daughters (11 & 13) were a bit under-the-weather but we made the most of our stay. The Kendall is lovely and the people are friendly and helpful. Enjoyed spending time reading by the fire in the lobby. Breakfast was delicious.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great weekend get away"
Great location, right in the heart of MIT with the T just across the street. The hotel was warm, clean and inviting, felt like we were in a bed and breakfast. The hotel is filled with fire station history as this was a former fire house. We were in room 409, not much of a view but the room was nice size for 4 people and had 2 queen beds where most hotels […] in Boston/Cambridge had double beds The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good, big selection and the food was fresh. When my son came down late for the buffet the staff cooked up some fresh pancakes for him. I would definitely go back next time I am in Boston. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"History, intimacy and comfort-the perfect place."
We stay at this hotel at least once a year and always have a wonderful stay. It has a great location for a wide spectrum of restaurants and is near a movie theater that shows lots of Indie and foreign films.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for Anyone"
The staff wes very helpful and cheerful. The room was exceptionaly comfortable. Getting there in late December from the Virgin Islands, if it was cold and drafty, we would have noticed. And the breakfast was really really good. We would definately stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Fun and relaxing stay near MIT"
Comfortable and fun hotel near MIT, across the street from the T station. Pleasant rooms, good buffet breakfast (with good coffee), free WiFi. This is an unusual hotel with personality in a city filled with routine hotels. A very nice stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable and Uniquely Fabulous!"
The Kendall Hotel was a great choice for our stay in Cambridge. Our room was lovely and had a small sitting room separate from the bedroom. It was extrememly clean and comfortable, with great artwork and personal touches. The full buffet breakfast provided was very good as well. The neighborhood wasn't very interesting and was right next to MIT. There […] is a metro stop just steps away from the hotel. We had a fantastic weekend and would highly recommend this historical gem. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"great hotel, great location"
Really nice place. It used to be a firehouse so the decor is as such. Very comfortable, free breakfast buffet and right next to the subway & tour bus stop. Will definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful Hotel at a Reasonable Price"
I stayed at the Kendall for one night by myself while travelling for business. It's a really charming hotel with a wonderful staff. Great location, too. Would stay there again without question.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent hotel!"
Kendall hotel is a nice and cozy place with lots of personality. Old fashion decorations makes it feel a bit like a real home. Breakfast was great and in the evenings the reception area was perfect for drinks and a snack. Hotel service was very good and the people friendly. Our room was nice and comfortable with a clean bathroom. The hotel location […] was perfect - quiet area very close to the metro (red line) and also to MIT & Harvard. Excellent for shopping and a visit to the university area (museums etc.). We highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not your typical hotel-thankgoodness!"
I am used to the cookie cutter hotel chains and stumbled upon the Kendall. What a lovely hotel-great Americana art everywhere-comfortable rooms and a fabulous (free) breaksfast. Excellent location to boot! Could not recommend this hotel enough!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"The BEST Place to Stay in Cambridge"
This was our second time staying at The Kendall and we just loved it! Not only is it in the perfect location for exploring Boston/Cambridge but the hotel is such a treasure to explore and relax in. This has become one of our favorite's!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for visiting Boston"
A great experience! I visited Boston as a tourist and the Kendall hotel was perfect choice for my trip. It is located right outside the "T" station (red line, Kendall) providing an easy way to reach almost any point in Boston. Every day starts with a complimentary delicious breakfast! the staff is always available, and very helpful. If I will go back […] to Boston I will definitively be back at the Kendall. "Very good value! Excellent, hot breakfast included"
We got a great rate during Thanksgiving holiday, when students, faculty, and university guests are away. Hotel in the heart of MIT is right next to T (subway) stop, and within pleasant walking distance over bridge over Charles River to historic Beacon Hill and Boston Gardens. The hotel represents a nice renovation and conversion of historic (1894) Firehouse […] into attractive and very pleasant place to stay. If you plan to use their hotel parking ($25/night, a good deal for Boston), book it with reservation, because space is limited. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful Hotel"
The only complaint we have would be the amount of noise that filters in and out of the rooms. The first time we stayed at the Kendell Hotel we stayed on the 6th floor yet near the elevator. That time we heard the elevator noise. This time we stayed on the 3rd floor near the elevator. Once again we heard the elevator and hall activity as well as the […] soft frequent rumble of the T. Other than that the hotel is wonderful! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Horrible night's sleep"
My husband, toddler son and I stayed in a room a few nights ago.The room was clean, aesthetically charming, and the hotel was conveniently located to public transportation. The continental breakfast was very good as far hotel breakfast buffets go, but not comparable to eating at a restaurant. Here are a few issues we had with the hotel: Upon check-in, […] we were told that they were sold out for the night so we would be "upgraded" from our reserved room of 2 queen beds to a room with a king bed and a pull-out.We booked our room many months before, paid in full, and checked-in exactly at 3pm.Inspite of this, we were the lucky ones chosen to be "upgraded" without prior notice.Needless to say, the person who made this decision is not a parent of a 2 year old.Unless your hotel carries bed rails for safety, they should assume a parent will sleep with their toddler for safety reasons. My husband slept on the pull-out in which EVERY spring made a mark on his back.He woke up in the middle of the night to take an Aleve due to back pain. The king size bed was only marginally more comfortable. The mattress was very hard and by the middle of the night, I too, had back pain. The only difference is that I didn't take a pain reliever because I'm pregnant. On the bright side, the pain I endured from the mattress isn't as bad as labor pain. Then again, my copayment to have a baby is the same as one night's fee at the Kendall Hotel, and at the end of my hospital stay I will have more than an aching back. "Very charming hotel"
Great hotel. The breakfast was awesome, wi fi was fast, staff was friendly. Good location. The only thing I didn't like was they didn't have a fitness room in-house.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
