although the section of the hotel I stayed in was not on the ocean the friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room more than made up for it. I will stay there again and will recommend it to anyone who asks.

I rarely take the time to right a review, but since I chose the Best Western in Myrtle Beach because of other reviews, I feel compelled to write one myself. After driving 8 hours to get to Myrtle Beach, I was quite happy to be greated by a very friendly desk attendant, Jack. After quickly checking me in, Jack quickly ran down the list of ammenities of the Hotel. Jack explained where the indoor and outdoor pools were located on a map, where the luggage carts where and the easiest route to the elevator. How to log on to their free wifi, and the short list of lose rules of the hotel such as no bottles in the pool area. though out the week, Jack stoped us in passing to find out how our stay was going, provided suggestions on where to eat. In short, everyone was very friendly. The room was very clean with working appliances that included cable TV, microwave, mid-size refridgerator, coffee pot and hair dryer. The beds were comfortable, sheets replaced daily as well as towels and washcloths if left on the floor of the bathroom. I did have alittle trouble working the thermostadt, but as the weather was quite comfortable, I just turned the ac off when it got too cool. The pool was well maintained and not over clorinated. The hot tub was "Hot!", and the lazy river was very relaxing. I did not use the indoor pool or hot tub on the beach front property and it appeared while walking though, that not too many people did. The free continental breakfast was outstanding. Every morning,from 6-9:30 am, a full time attendant for set the breakfast up and break it down. My favorite item was the hot, self-serve waffle maker. In two minutes, Hot breakfast! They also provided, orange, able and tomato juice. Hot coffee, hot water for tea, Milk for a variety of cereal, oatmeal, muffins and pastries, as well as fresh fruit. Arrived alone, sons to meet me following day, I was instructed to park on the side or around back. It was dark and only one other car parked. I did not feel safe alone. This was remedied the following day after speaking to the manager. Then the room was not cleaned the second day, this was brought to housekeeper twice during the day and to front desk clerk in the evening upon return. Not even a follow up phone call.

The room was nice and clean. It seemed to have been recently updated. However, I did not sleep at all the one night I stayed. The air conditioning unit in room 1128 certainly was missed in the upgrading. It was like a Mack truck coming through, on off all night. Parking seemed a bit tight, but adeqate.

I make the reservation online and went by the pixs on the website, a little deceptive.One building is oceanfront the others are across the street. For the price I paid, it was great though. Only a short walk across the street to the beach and in a very quiet section of Ocean Blvd. The room was adequate, it was clean. The gentlemen at the front desk in the morning were very helpful and lively. The ladies in the evening/night were less than hospitable, and after a 4 hour drive...that's the last thing I wanted to deal with. but maybe they had a long day like I did. Overall I'd stay again and encourage others to also. Lots of families stayed there.

Room Service people were VERY noiosy early in the mornings and quests had children out in the parking lot screaming and yelling before 8 am. The rooms are adequate with a very small bathroom and the carpet needs cleaning to room the odors.

Confortable bed. Good breakfast for a continental breakfast. Local construction bothered us one night but that really beyond Best Wewstern's control. We will go back.

I was really suprised at how clean and nice the room was. We got a family suite and the room was very clean and the staff was always helpful and friendly. Also I like the fact that the hotel provided towels for the pool.

The hotel was not what we expected for what we paid. We thought we were getting a nice 2 room sweet. The "2nd room" was tiny with no room to walk around. The hotel is older and more like a motel. The Hampton across the street is much newer with interior corridors which is my preference. You are basically paying for being on the beach, not the facility.

Upon our arrival we noticed how dated the room was and asked if an updated room was available. We took the updated room which was double the price and seemed pretty happy with our decision until we realized that there was a serious bug problem. To the hotel's credit they really tried to accommodate us to the best of their ability but we are used to staying at 4-5 star hotels and this was just not how we usually travel.

The best part of the experience was the wonderful staff of the hotel. It's been a long time since I've experienced such a friendly and helpful attitude that was consistent across all levels of the hotel employees. Made my stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Grand Strand Inn. I had a suite and everything was nice and clean. This hotel is in a great location and very quiet. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to myrtle beach.

The room was clean and spacious. Our stay was quiet. We attended the Dixie Stampede and the Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens. The hotel was centrally located between the two venues and easy to find. We stayed in the main building one street over from the beach. They have a new building across the street that is oceanfront and entirely Non-Smoking! Also have a nice indoor pool in that building! Would highly recommend this hotel for families and anyone just vactioning with friends. It's nothing fancy but it's clean and quiet. They also serve a free continental breakfast.

excellent price. kids and i loved the indoor pool and hot tub. spotless room even though it's a bit older. somehow the maid missed our room. i called front desk after housekeeping had come home and asked for towels. got back late after dinner. beds were made, clean towels, room straightened. excellent response to rectify mistake.

This was a very good hotel! Everything that I asked for was here in this room. The hotel overall was clean, and the staff was very nice! Only flaw about the room was the fact that it was a smoking room; so walking in everything smelled a little smokie, but other than that it was very good.
