I would say that this hotel was nothing spectacular, but was more than adequate to meet our needs, and given the steep price of Moscow hotels, was very reasonably priced. Service from the staff was good and the guest rooms were large and reasonably comfortable, though the beds were pretty hard. Free WiFi throughout the hotel was a nice bonus. I would say if you're looking for luxury and lots of amenities, this is not the place for you, but if you're looking for a reasonably-priced place to stay that is clean and meets all the basic needs, then this is a good hotel for that. I would certainly stay in this hotel if I am to visit Moscow again. Good area of the city, just next to two metro stations, Safe area of the city, with good choice of restaurants ( I advise "MY MY") within 5mins walk from the hotel. Also, exchange buros, a travel agency and a 24hr shop and a pharmacy nearby. The staff was also ever so helpful.

When we arrived, the receptionist locked an extra night price on the credit card, in spite of that we 100% prepayed on expedia. They already had a confirmation of booking in their computer, so for me this money-lock was like if they suspected me in something. Very uncomfortable in articles, like no power outlet near bed, no global light switch near bed (when you are going to sleep, you have to stand up from bed and go to every lamp to turn it off individually), the toilet paper holder is somewhere in back when sitting on a toilet. We had an excellent stay at the Novotel, Moscow Centre. We found it to be reasonably priced; the front desk staff was excellent, courteous and spoke superb English. We did skip the buffet breakfast and went for more traditional Russian fare at "Moo Moo" across the street and a few blocks down to the left (look for the Holstein cow pattern on the sign, […] which in Russian reads "MY MY"). Great location right by the metro station, much appreciated during the winter. Just One stop away from Bielorussia railway station where you can take the express train to the airport. The hotel is very well located, next to a Subway Station (Line 9 Novoslobodskaya). Subway is the best transportation system you can find in Moscow because of the traffic. General hotel staff are rude and not service oriented at all in my personal experience. Just as an example, I had some boxes sent in advance by FedEx, when I arrived I was told that there were no boxes without even taking a minute to look or ask for it. As soon as I checked in I reviewed my tracking number and the person that signed for my boxes... went down to the Reception area again and gave my details to them. They looked at me like I was their worst nightmare and after that, they send somebody to look for my boxes. They eventually find them but left them there without saying anything!!! I'm talking about very heavy brochure boxes. I had to get a luggage cart myself and take my boxes to my room, then take the cart down again... awful service. We liked our room, which was non-smoking, clean and spacious. The location of the hotel was very convenient for us, close to the city center and to our train station. Also, it's not far from the metro station "Belorusskaya", where we could take an aeroexpress train to airport "Sheremetievo". The Novotel is a good value but it is in desperate need of a facelift. The lobby is spare and unwelcoming. The rooms have worn out furniture and old carpeting. Nice clean and convenient hotel. Sorrounding neighborhood not very picturesque but it had everything- from starbucks to mexican food and all other kinds of restaurants and markets, as well as a subway station right outside the hotel which is great! No wi-fi which is definitely a negative.

Novotel Moscow Centre is a clean functional hotel for your business trip. It is conveniently located with easy access to everywhere. The immediate neighbourhood isn't particularly great and you'll always have to travel to see the sights. Room was warm, comfortable and clean. Hotel meals were average and over-priced.

Clean and efficient hotel in the centre of Moscow. Easy access to the city's metro system or a 30min walk to red square and the Kremlin. Hotel staff spoke English well and were able to offer help and advice. The hotel bar is very expensive but there are plenty of more reasonably priced bars and cafes in the neighbouring area.

This hotel was excellent for what we wanted. It was a short 4 night stay and the location was very very good with Metro station next door, so only 15 mins away from the centre. The location is great - you go to Mendeleevskaya tube station, go up - and you're practically in the lobby as the tube entrance is right at the building of the hotel.
