Excellent value given the location in San Francisco - near the Golden Gate Bridge for easy exit north from the city. People were nice. Room was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not so great"
Hotel was pretty old and shabby looking. The carpet and bedding were both extremely ugly. The sheet under the comforter was so old and washed so many times that it was scratch and the towels were super old and the ends are already stringy...felt like a cockroach or giant bug was going to appear anytime...thankfully, none did. Walls were also super […] thin. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was Horrible, since we arrive the Idues who are the people in charge were so rude, and i was driving a big car so they tell me that they do not have parking lot ??? i was so dissapointed, it is the worst hotel in all my life. i do not recomended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great little deli/liquor store & pizza place close by. Not enough parking spaces. But overall it was a nice stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best value- quality"
Best beds ever! Clean, great water pressure and friendly ( even at 11pm)! Off the main traffic for quiet and only 20 dollar cab ride from the ferry building/ financial district...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Crashing ocean waves"
Right on a cliff with the ocean about twenty feet away. The sound of the crashing waves lulled me to sleep. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and warm. Hard to beat this place, simply because of the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"decent . hotel but better be upstairs"
good experience . overall . but breakfast could be better if you plan to save on breakfast this is not the choice . you still will have to buy your own .cos won't fell satisfice .Genuine Expedia guest review
The location was great. The staff went out of their way to help us. Great restaurants in the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY, WE LOVED THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL.. ALL THE TOUR BUSES PASSED RIGTH INFRONT OF THE HOTEL. IT WAS A VERY SAFE STREET, CLOSE TO STORES, CAFES AND RESTAURANTS.Genuine Expedia guest review
"friendly and clean"
staff was very helpfull and friendly. room was very good for the price in sf. was located close to bus lines and restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very pleasant. Great value and helpful staff. I would come here again. This hotel is on a quiet section of Lombard St. right by the Presidio, walking distance to the Palace of Fine Arts and Crissy Field.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"embarrassed to have stayed in such a filthy dump"
filthy, disgusting dump. rude employees. insects in the room, makeup smeared around the bathroom, hairs from previous guests everywhere, dirty sheets and linens, yelling from staff, walls made of paper. yelling from other guests at every hour. oblivious foreign employees probably only try to run this place to avoid outlandish cost of living in SF. night […] clerk high as a kite. fine part of town to walk around, but im embarrassed to have any evidence that i stayed in such a dump. try every other avenue before booking here: any other hotel on this road, airbnb, couchsurfing, roomsharing. not worth the overpriced joke, even in san fran. "Country Hearth gets the job done"
I needed a place that was relatively cheap, near a crossfit, and comfortable enough to work in my room for a while when needed. Like most older and cheaper hotels, it was a bit dark, and a little stinky, but that tends to go with the territory. The best part for me was the neighborhood - safe and first rate. Just a short walk to SanFrancisco CrossFit, […] and Real Foods (a pretty fantastic healthy market), as well as some decent restaurants. I'll stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"High School reunion stay."
We stayed at this location because it was very convenient to the entrance of the Presidio where my 50th high school reunion was taking place. It was quiet and comfortable and most of all, affordable. I would recommend the location and the staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Highly over priced!!!"
Terrible nights stay. the A/C didn't work at night, had to flush the toilet 2/3 times to dispose of water, carpets were dirty, and the continental breakfast was day old muffins. Never again. at best this place is worth about $70/night!!1Genuine Expedia guest review

"small but clean and very reasonable"
Very clean and friendly here. Oonly draw back here is lack of parking it is Near beach, restaurants and the beautiful Golden Gate. Staff friendly and helpful also. Couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay during my husbands Cancer treatments .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Average hotel in a nice part of town."
Rooms are ok. Nothing fancy but clean and everything worked well. Definitely want to arrive in time to get one of the six parking spaces available or bring your handicap permit for the one spot for that. Room was quiet. We got two beautiful days in San Francisco so we were not in the room except to sleep. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Shower […] worked fine. TV worked fine. All is good. "Just What We Expected...."
Basic, small, cramped room; double beds only. That's what happens when you wait too long to find a hotel for Fleet Week, SF's most crowded weekend. There was a bolt lock on door, but chain was missing for third lock on door. We did report to front desk, but I can't believe they didn't know about it already. Beds were comfy and room clean, but we would […] never say there again. It turns out there was free parking and continental breakfast, but none of this was mentioned when we made our booking. "Nice Place - Would Stay Again"
A few friends and I stayed at this hotel because of it's location being so central to everything we were going to do in San Francisco. The beds were honestly the best thing about this place. Parking is laughable with maybe only 6 spots, and you'll have to back out into the main street while trying to make sure you don't run over pedestrians. The people […] at the front counter were pleasant to deal with. I'd stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was OK. San Francisco is a pricey place for a room. Paid 219 for a room that would be 70 outside of San Francisco. Parking was difficult and I had to park about 6 blocks away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to Golden Gate Bridge and presido"
When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice man who gave us maps and directions on how to catch buses to different places. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The lady on the other hand was kind of rude to my husband one night but we didn't deal with her too much. The hotel was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast is not much but […] it was nice to have something to eat before we caught a bus to go somewhere. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
the hotel was convenient to all locations but you get exactly what you pay for - it's not exactly the cleanest but we felt safe and it served its purpose.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fine for a night"
Only stayed one night. It was fine- nothing special. Rooms are very dated and feel a little bit grubby. There is free parking, but there are nowhere near enough spaces for the number of rooms. We were lucky and got the last spot. The parking was one of the main reasons we booked this place, so if there hadn't been a spot, it would have been annoying. […] Can't comment on the free breakfast- there wasn't any left when I got up. The hotel is on a quiet street off Lombard, so it's a lot quieter than other places in the area. "The staff is amazing and extremely helpful."
The motel staff was so helpful with our travel information. They helped us book tours and let us use the motel parking for the day even after checking out. ( The parking is a big deal there as they have very limited parking. ) They even helped us when we were leaving with directions to another town. The rooms are clean and have the essentials for most. […] I will return in the future They were great people to have and help us out. The location is great, such a beautiful area in San Fransisco to visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"worth the cost"
This was perfect for us as we only needed a place to sleep. there is great coffee, food, and parks within walking distance and the room was very clean. I would stay here again. on another note, there was a decent earthquake and the ceiling did not come down so bonus points for construction.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to stay"

"Convenient to local destinations."
It was fine, but the breakfast was sparse and the TV was archaic. I would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice small motel"
Nice motel. Parking is small and is a first come, first serve basis. So you'll have to park outside if there are no room. Room was nice and clean. Very comfortable to stay. Nice area with barely any traffic on the street so it is easier to get in and out. Wish there was a little fridge though. There is coffee and hot chocolate in the office, and juice […] only in the morning. Would come here and stay again if I really need a place to stay when going to SF. "Awesome staff - somehow overpriced"
We spent two night in a family vacation that includes a trip from SF down to San Diego. The hotel was reasonably clean, nice neighborhood and close to the city (particularly to golden gate). The staff was very helpful and nice, especially to help us find a parking! The price remains however quite high for the level of service /rooms we had.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Presidio and A16"
Cozy room. Helpful staff directed us to cool walks in the Presidio. We had to ask management to calm our downstairs neighbours at 2 in the morning, and they handled it immediately. Parking is limited, but not too big a hassle. They had coffee and donuts on offer in the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Only good for walking & Bicycling"
Some thing out of necessity, but definitely not comfortable. Don't fall for the pictures - esp., double queen bed room. Just a place to put your head down to try to get some sleep after a long day of sightseeing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was as expected based on reviews. Outdated but clean, and since we spent all our time out and about in San Francisco, we only wanted a place to sleep and shower, not hang out in. Fabulous location, would stay here again based on that alone. Went to Chestnut Street Bakery for breakfast, so cannot comment on the breakfast offered.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Interior was remodeled nicely except for tacky carpets that still need to be replaced. Beds were comfortable. Need better selection of continental breakfast. We selected this hotel because it is close to fantastic Bistro around block. Marina neighborhood interesting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was adequate, nothing special and parking can be a challenge. It has a good location in a good neighborhood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rundown hotel on edge of good area"
First, you don't want to stay here. You're going to drive up and realize you don't want to stay here, but don't get that far -- stop now. We booked two nights. Got in late, been traveling for 2 weeks, exhausted, but still should've turned around. - stained sheets - broken safe - chain broken off door frame as if door was recently kicked in - quarter […] inch gap between door and frame - no second lock - exterior facing doors--ours was in a dark corner on the second story - all sorts of weird air purifiers that made it sound like you were inside a Diesel engine - tried canceling second night but hotel refused because we were past checkout time (1:30--one of was sick so didn't leave the room until then but they didn't care) - checked out anyway and went to the courtyard by Marriott on 2nd street for $40 more per night (highly recommended). "Nice Little Motel"
A nice, clean place to rest after sight seeing. It has easy access to buses even though it is not very close to many of the popular SF attractions. It is nice to have a small free parking lot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old style motel close to Presidio."
Easy to find, not so easy to park. Only 6 parking slots in courtyard of motel, others have to park on the street (which is free). Owners very nice and accommodating with tips for restaurants and arranging travel to the airport. Breakfast is sparse - only coffee, juice, fruit and pastries. "not bad for the short term"
I needed a quick place to stay overnight before I was catching a flight the next morning. Close to a lot, but parking is first come first serve....which can get a bit crazy. Not somewhere I'd stay for a whole week, but was clean and comfy for the night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value in the Ciyt"
Cordial staff and great location. All aces.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not to bad"
If you need a clean room with clean towers...,- that is good place to stay. But make sure, the room will be to small, there is no dining area in the hotel...., parking is so busy....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location is the best part of this hotel"
Room was extremely small for the advertised price. As a family of four we were pretty tightly squeezed to move about. Continental breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, and donuts. Our last morning there we stopped in for the 'breakfast' and there was nothing there and not a single person to ask about it. Don't be fooled by the ad, parking is first come […] first serve so you are not guaranteed a parking spot with your paid room. The best part of this hotel was that it was literally 2 blocks from the Presidio and a bus stop! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice little hotel - good service"
My stay here was pleasant. I was greeted by a very friendly woman on check-in who recommended some restaurants for nee since I was from out of town. She also upgraded my room from two double beds to a king size at no additional charge since I was by myself. There is limited free parking available, so get the early or park on the street. The room itself […] was clean, the only thing I really disliked was that I could hear the screaming kids in the next room. The hotel was in walking distance if the marina district, and the walk to Fisherman's Wharf wasn't too bad at all. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
