The Melia is in an impressive building with marble floors and decor. There is a garden at the back, which would be useful when the weather is hot. The hotel is very conveniently situated between the shops and the railway station, and overlooks a park. The staff were helpful about printing and even provided some free stamps. The disadvantages: the staff do not speak English well which led to confusion about the bill. Some unpleasant odour in the room from the drains. If you are at the front of the hotel you could be disturbed by noise if there is an event going on in the park. Mattresses were firm enough, but rather cheap metal sprung.
