Good hotel. The Loft Room was great for our family with 2 queen beds on the first floor and 2 queen beds in the loft. The sofa was broken, but usable. Guests at the hotel should be allowed to use the mini-golf course for free or at least receive a coupon for one free game. Nice place, convenient to all things Stowe.. Kid-friendly with pool, spa, badminton and mini-golf nearby. Might opt for suite next time since it was a little tight for a family of 4. Overall, good experience.

The place is a bit our dated but it's fairly clean. Breakfast is pretty good specially the granola! The staff are also very friendly and helpful. It's close to the ski area but a bit far from the city. Overall, I had a great time during my stay at this place.

We stayed here one night and it was very good. Rooms and towels could use a little updating, but they were clean, comfortable and fine for our night. The pool was great - our kids enjoyed the pool in the screened in sun room that opens up. We decided to eat in for the evening and got a pizza from the local pizza place 3 doors up the road, brought it […] back and had a lovely sunset picnic dinner at the picnic table behind our room that overlooked a lovely creek. The continental breakfast was basic but good enough. Even though it was summer, we found lots in the area to explore and do. Hiking to waterfalls, exploring the Trapp Family Lodge, dog sledding on wheels, shopping, Ben & Jerry's tours, mini golf adjacent to the hotel, etc. Read more

Stowe is a bit pricey-er than other VT cities, but the summer rate I got here at about a hundred seemed decent. The place has just be refurbished and looks clean and nice. Great views out the back sliding door.

Everything was great! A walking/biking trail right there, mini-golf, farmer's market, and great restaurants, too--within walking distance on the trail. We stayed here after we did the Ben and Jerry's tour. There was a small creek out back, so that led to a great view. The lady at the front desk helped us out a few times with band-aids after our hike […] on part of the Long Trail near Mt. Mansfield. We originally came across Sun and Ski on Trip Advisor and booked it because it was well priced and seemed to be in the middle of Stowe. The location is quite convenient to restaurants and shops. The room was fine, although there was a faint smell of mildew. However the room was very clean and the housekeeping staff did a fine job each day. The hotel responded immediately to an email inquiry regarding a possible item left behind. The property is well maintained with a very nice view […] of the stream on the back. It's quite pleasant sitting outside one's room enjoying a drink. The all-season pool was fine, although there was some debris on the water, which is, I suppose, unavoidable at this time of year. The minigolf on the property is certainly nice to have (hotel guest get an extra round free for each round played), as is the access to the Stowe walking/running/bicycling path. The area where breakfast was served tended to get a little crowded, but again no big deal. The inn's friendly and agreeable cat "Buddy" was a welcome bonus. Read more

We were arriving late. Lady waited for us to get there before she left. Breakfast was ok. AC in the room is kind of wired but it works:) They have lovely mini porch in the back of every room where you can have your coffee in the morning and we fully use that. I am very happy with place and i would go there again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this modest motel. Its setting is pleasant, with a large green lawn and a stream running all along the back of the buildings. Rooms were decently furnished with basic but OK bathrooms, OK linens and pillows, a new hair dryer, small fridge and coffeemaker with coffee and condiment packs. There is a pool […] in a separate building that seemed attractive from the outside. The breakfast room was modest but pleasant, with a nice library room next door offering additional seating (plus shelves of books). Breakfast offerings were basic but nice (coffee & tea, OJ & apple juice, cereals, breads, yogurt and some fruit). Definitely nice quality for the modest price. Read more

The room was clean and spacious, bed comfortable, room temperature control fine. The sink drained so slowly I was afraid it would not empty. The double electrical outlet by the refrigerator had only one working outlet so I had to unplug the refrigerator to use the coffee maker. That turned out to be irrelevant asthere was no decaf coffee, anyway, only […] regular. The room door had at least an 1/4 inch space around the bottom half, must make temperature control interesting when it is very col or hot out. Finally, the deadbolt lock on the room door was extremely hard to UNLOCK. I wondered for a bit if I was going to need to ask for assistance to getout the first morning. I did not use it the second day. Office hours were 7:00am to 8:00pm so if you travel late or depart early, I guess you're just out of luck. I didn't rate the complimentary breakfast as I never saw it. It wasn't served until 8:00am, same time I needed to be at the conference I attended. Read more

Even though we stayed 1 night my children and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and the view out the back was really nice. My children really enjoyed the pool as well as the hottub. The continental breakfast was pretty good too.

The location of the hotel was beautiful and the town was charming. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, but outdated. We want to visit the area again, and hope the rooms have been redone. Is great for families. My kids enjoyed the pool and playing in the back near the creek. Our stay was peaceful and very relaxing.

This hotel was a bargain for Stowe. Everything else in town, like meals, was ridiculously expensive. But the hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and accommodating. There is a river view out the back door and a hike/bike trail along the river.

What a lovely place...building is a little dated but obviously well cared for, and room was very clean. Rooms are spacious; the slightly-fancier two-queen room we stayed in had a mini fridge and a nice big bathroom. Booked online because of the ratings from others and I am happy I did. I am from Vermont but my fiance is not. She is very picky about cleanliness so you can imagine my nervousness when opening the door. Very simple but elegant and homey. She loved it. Whew!! True story. Anyways, I must say the staff and room were excellent. Nice breakfast in the morning. […] Yes the pool was open and to our surprise found the hot tub also. Beautiful stream and lawn out back of our porch. King size bed was wonderful. I know because I laid in it and watched the Masters Tournament all day Sunday. We were married on Saturday and the staff surprised us with champagne which was very nice. I will definitely be back. The room is close to anything you want and the best is you cannot beat the price, especially for Stowe. This hotel is a true hidden gem!!!! Read more
