Wifi didn't work during 4 days. This is not acceptable at all in 4 star hotel..

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at NH plaza. I believe it was better than my first stay because he didn't realize how the internet worked. I recommend paying for the internet, otherwise it becomes really slow. You can pay online and using your card so the purchase is simple. I love this hotel, best in Genoa!

Unbelievably dirty, uncomfortable and old room. Awful breakfast. Extremely slow internet connection. Unhelpful staff. It was so bad that we cut our trip two days short to escape from the hotel! We even got locked out of the room once (the room door was broken)

The photo of Standard Double / Twin Room in Hotels.com is not correct. It is a photo of Junior suite. We picked the room because it look to be renovate on the photo , but it was very old room. Personnel in reception said they are not responsible for pictures on hotels.com website. Standard rooms are very old and worn, and I don't expect to have big […] stains on the carpet from aircon leak, scratched walls and doors in a 4* hotel. First room No.118 we got had horrible smell inside and it took me 40 min to get reception to change the room what is not a very pleasant experience after couple of hours driving when you want to get a drink and go out. very large and pleasant room with spacious bathroom and closet for coats. A rich complimentary breakfast was served from 7-10:30am all at a good mid-range price. Very good value for money. The Plaza is one of the better hotels in Genoa, which are generally of a fairly low standard. Half of the hotel has undergone a renovation, and the rooms are quite nice, if not a little small. Arrived after a 6 hrs journey and was greated by friendly receptionaist who upgraded us to one of the new renovated rooms. New rooms were very spacious (large enough to swing a cat), comfortable clean bed and great hot buffet breakfast. They even provided a range of coffees eg cappucinno when we requested at no charge.

I'm sure our room was state of the art in the 1960's! It was clear that our room hadn't been used or cleaned for several weeks - the water in the toilet was rusty and the pan was dirty. The NH Plaza (which used to be called the Jolly Hotel) occupies a good location at the top of Via Roma, which has shops like 5th Avenue in New York. It's very close to the Galleria (a covered mall which has book-sellers and 3 restaurants), plus a few other restaurants in the area. The buffet breakfast was quite good. Personnellement nous avons été très heureux du choix du NH Plaza Très bel hôtel magnifiquement situé, près du centre ( nous avons tout fait à pied) dans un endroit agréable et vert. Personnel sympathique, petit déjeuner agréable, chambre tout à fait correcte ( nous avions choisi pour le prix une chambre standard).

Et ensuite, nous avions une chambre (702) situé près du local technique ce qui engendrait des grosses nuisances sonores. Cela a pour consequence de gacher le sejour. qualitativamente, colazione e reception a parte, non e' un NH. vecchio, letto matrimoniale che si apre, stanza senza specchio lungo, tende carta velina, bagno vecchio, senza cassaforte, frigo bar misero, mancanza di asciugamani. funziona la wifi. non ha parking proprio e quello esterno ha orari di chiusura.

Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund der Bewertungen und der Bilder gebucht. Leider hatten wir noch alte, nicht renovierte Zimmer. Die Zimmer waren sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten je ein Zimmer im ersten und im zweiten Stockwerk. Wir hörten jedes Mal die WC-Spülungen der nebenliegenden Zimmer. Mitten in der Nacht wurden wir jedes Mal wach, weil im Nachbarzimmer […] an der Tür geklingelt wurde und dann Türen auf und zu gingen. Das Frühstück war ganz ok. Parken wird zur Abzocke. Man hat entweder die Möglichkeit gegenüber für 2.50Euro/Stunde unbewacht zu parken oder etwas weiter oberhalb des Hotels bei einer bewachten Parkgarage. Dort kosten 24 Stunden 20 Euro. Aber wenn man morgens im Hotel ankommt, in der Parkgarage das Auto abstellt und am nachmittag weg fahren will kostet das auch 20 Euro...also egal ob eine Stunde oder 24...immer 20 Euro!!! Das wird natürlich nicht vorher gesagt. Ausserdem wird das Auto geparkt und man darf nicht selber parken und der Schlüssel bleibt dort in der Parkgarage. Das schönste an den Tagen dort waren der Hafen, das Meer und die schönen alten Bauwerke in der Altstadt. Autofahren in Genua ist der Horror für welche, die es nicht gewohnt sind... Read more

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilft bei Schwierigkeiten.Das Frühstück ist vielfältig und reichlich. Das Einzelzimmer war sehr gut bis auf den Platz für Kleidung. Es gab nur einen äußerst kleinen Schrank,sodass Wäsche im Koffer bleiben musste.
