"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

"Greaty Hotel"
We loved our stay. We were going to see Jersey Boys and wanted to spend the night. The hotel was so close to everything. A short path ride to World Trade center and then a short walk to the subway! I would stay again. The hotel was beautiful, the area was very safe. If we ever go to another show and plan on staying the night we will go to this hote […] l. Read more

"Very comfortable"
We enjoyed the location and views. The decor was very sophisticated. The only slight complaint was that parking was expensive. The attendants were helpful though.
"Hyatt Regency on the Hudson-fantastic view of NYC"
I took my grandaughter for a tour of NYC. This hotel was less expensive and had a better view than any hotel in the city. We paid extra for the breakfast and we were very pleased with the variety. The subway was easy access from the hotel. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.

"best hotel in jersey city"
not only was it beautiful, clean, and quiet.... but the CUSTOMER SERVICE was over the top A++++. Very impressive from the second I am dropped off and Charles took my bags, plus a tour of the hotel. There they seem to want nothing more than to see you happy and comfortable. I hope to return someday.
"The Hyatt in Jersey City"
Wonderful Hotel, clean, great view, friendly staff and across the sidewalk from Path train to NYC. The only complaint I had was the $32 per day parking fee they was not disclosed at time of booking. The had a great experience here and are looking to book our next trip which will include stay here again. We highly recommend this hotel for your trip to […] NYC!!!! Read more
"The Nicer side of Jersey city"
Hotel is truly upscale and out of the ordinary for Jersey City. Pleaseantly surprised by the niceness and professionalism of everyone from the valets to the desk attendants. Will definitely repeat.
"RE-CONNECT"
IF YOU WANT TO JUST GET AWAY FROM YOUR DAILY LIFE AND RECONNECT..THIS IS A GREAT LOCATION, VIEWS, CLOSE DRIVING DISTANCE TO GOOD RESTAURANTS....2 THUMBS UP!!
"Amazing"
The view was spectacular. Service was amazing as well. The room was big, nice and clean. No complaints at all.
"Staff very very friendly! Beautiful views!"
Staff very very friendly! Beautiful views from hotel resturant and rooms! Would recommend to anyone Buisness or pleasure!
"Excellent Room"
The hotel is situated right on the Hudson river. The room had a partial view of the majestic Manhatten skyline and Jersey city shore. The Hotel was situated right next to PATH station which provided quick access to Manhatten. The only negative was there was no restaurents in walking distance on the Jersey side. This is not a major issue because NYC […] is a few minutes away by PATH which runs 24 hours. The hotel restaurant and room service was pricy and the food was ok though we paid over 50 $ for a couple of glasses of milk, and 2 bottles of beer. Overall, we would stay there again. Read more
"Convenient, clean, and luxurious"
Very comfortable and convenient. Easy access to NYC and NNj.
"Hyatt Regency Jersey City -- perfect hotel for NYC"
This hotel is tremendous. We took a family trip to NYC to see the Rockettes and the Christmas displays around town. We never had to drive into the city or worry about parking because the Path train station is right outside the Hyatt's front door. Within 4-5 minutes, you are at the WTC stop and can easily switch to another subway train to go anywhere […] in the city. We never took cabs or busses either thanks to the great subway network. The hotel is exactly as advertised... our room, the pool, fitness center, and bar all shared a phenomenal view of the Hudson River and lower Manhattan. The room was comfortable and the service was spectacular. On our first night returning back from the city, the kids were greeted with fresh chocolate chip cookies, cold milk, and a tray of assorted chocolates were waiting for us adults. :) The only complaint I can raise is the lack of extra towels and wash cloths for a family of four. The room was stocked for 2 people despite their promise to add extras for the kids. No biggie though... I just asked the cleaning ladies in the hall whenever we needed something. I would absolutely stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to others. For cheaper dining options than NYC, there are a few restaurants in Jersey City that are economically sensible including Pizzeria Uno, Five Guys, and Chili's, but when in town, I recommend the Stardust Diner on Broadway and 50/51st. All the servers sing and dance. The kids loved it!! Read more
Location is superb! The views is breath taking! I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.
Great service. Amazing view.
"Here for my 50th Birthday"
Wonderful view of NYC. Close to Ferries to NYC and Ellis Island and Statue of LIberty. Close to Hoboken for great meals and PATH train. Had to wait a bit for them to get our car because a conference just had ended and a wedding party arriving but that can happen anywhere. I would recommend it. Very helpful pleasant front desk staff.

"Hyatt on the Hudson New York- Great location"
We traveled to New York for the 10 year 9-11 commemoration. The hotel was outstanding and the staff were all very kind and sensitive to our issues with the loss iof my brother during the 9-11 attacks. The food was excellent as well. My only issue was that we never received our requested wake up calls. On 9-11-11, we requested a wake-up call for 5:00am […] as we had to catch the last subway to Ground Zero at 6:30 am. If we had not set our phone, we would have missed the subway and that would have been heartbreaking to travel all the way to New York and miss the ceremony. Again, the following morning we asked for an 8:00am wake-up call which never came. Fortunately, we woke up and made it to the cemetary and Battery Park before we had to leave for the airport. The hotel did offer us a free breakfast when they realized their mistake. One other concern was that a family member had sent our official invitations to the 9-11 memorial by Fed-Ex and someone at the hotel refused to accept them, even though our name was on the package.Fortunately we had copies with us.I would still stay at this hotel, but I wouldn't trust the wake-up service. "Hyatt Regency on the Hudson -great view on Skyline"
Very nice hotel. Great view on the skyline of Manhattan. Rooms are spacious and modern. Unfortunately the internet in the room is not for free. Only the faucet was disappointing. Almost no water pressure and the adjustment between warm water and cold water was difficult and took a while. Shower was fine. Very friendly staff. No airport shuttle to Newark […] Int. Airport. "great service"
Even though we were not able to reserve the desired room type because the hotel was full the hotel staff made a lot of effort to make our stay memorable.
"Hyatt - great room and view"
Very nice room and atmosphere. This was a leisure trip for my family which includes two children. The only problem was that when booking they only had a king room but said it would sleep four with a hide-a-bed couch. The couch in our room did not have a bed and it took three calls to the front desk to get a roll away bed which was a single bed. One […] of my children had to sleep on the couch. That was the only bad thing about this stay. Read more

"Hyatt Regency on the Hudson"
Really very nice, Gorgeous views. Very pleasant customer service and maximum convenience to mass transit into NYC. Terrific place
"Love this hotel!"
This is such a classy hotel, and a SOOOOO much better value than Manhattan. The PATH train is only $3.50 round-trip and just minutes from the Wall Street E train, or go all the way up to 33rd (and it runs all night if you stay out late at the opera or Birdland). You barely have to step outside from the Exchange Place stop to be at the Hyatt -- and there […] is the gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline. Read more
"Hyatt Regency in Jersey City (Exchange Place)"
We were very happy with the location of the hotel and the layout of the room. We had a beautiful view of the Hudson Bay. However, we needed to get up early in the morning to have another New York tour before we left to go back to Toronto and there was a power outage. It seems only the power was impacted at this one hotel and all the rest were fine. […] We couldn't see to find our clothes, comb our hair and there was no hot water to take a shower or wash your face as it was heated by electricity. You would think a hotel of this scale would have some back up. We were really disappointed and it ruined our stay. We could not use any of the amentities such as the pool or the gym, shower or anything else. Very disappointing. Read more

If you have kids, this is the best place where you can stay during a trip to NY. It is so easy to cross the Hudson river using a Path train. There's a Path station stick to the hotel, it was a plus for us. The hotel is great, new, clean, spacious, no words to describe it. It is a bit expensive but it is worthy to stay here and watch the city at night, […] one of the biggest things we're always going to remember. Don't go anywhere, this is your place. Read more

"HYATT on Hudson - great location; poor service"
We arrived early (1 p.m.) and the room was not yet ready, which was reasonable. At that time, I requested a room with a view of either the Empire State Building or Statute of Liberty, and I was told that would not be a problem. We were assurred that the room would be ready by the standard 4 p.m. check-in time and were asked to leave our cell number, […] which we did, and were told they would call as soon as it was ready. At 6 p.m. we had still not received a call. When we returned to the hotel at 6:15 we were given a room on the second floor with an obstructed view of the Empire State Building and, when we asked why we did not receive a call on our cell phone to advise that the room was ready, they just apologized. Our friend who lives 1 block away (and recommended this hotel to us) advised that the hotel has a roof-top and that we should inquire of viewing the July 4th fireworks from there. When we questioned the front reception, we were informed there was no roof-top viewing and, when we pressed further, we were informed that an Indian wedding ceremony was booked for 2 days and that only invitees to the wedding were able to access the roof top. Overall, not an impressive first impression! On a positive note, the room was adequate. During our 4 night stay, I telephoned concierge 7 times and each time got a voice mail. Each time I physicially went to the concierge counter, no one was there. We ordered in dinner one evening and we required cutlery so I telephoned the front desk to request 3 forks and 3 knives. 30 minutes later, no cutlery arrived. I telephoned front desk 45 minutes later to advise that there was no need to bring the cutlery now as we had already gotten our cutlery ourselves from the restaurant --- again, just an apology. On the third evening at about 10 p.m. a hotel employee used their access card to enter our room and he apologized as he entered stating that "oh I meant to go to another room with these towels!". In the 4 nights that we stayed there, our Read more

stayed there for a week while at a conference. Service was very friendly and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. A little bit disappointed with the restaurant, although the concierge gave me a great tip on a nearby Italian restaurant.
"A great solution to NY travel"
I can't say enough about how great this location worked out for us. It couldn't be more convenient. We had a great time. The food is nicely prepared and fresh locally purchased produce in many of the dishes. A big plus. The Path service and ferries makes visiting in NYC totally accessible and affordable. The hotel is well maintained and the training […] of the staff superb. We could tell that the management place a big emphasis on training staff to be courtious and to offer their service. I commend them for what they are doing. On the down sied, $16.00 for two eggs kind of freaked me out, but the overall experience was so nice, I chose to let that go for a bit. The bar area could use some spiffing up and maybe limit the number of employees at the bar who are off their shifts. None of that would stop me from returning, although I may skip breakfast and wander around elsewhere for that. Read more
