We booked this 6 months in advance as it was close to Catania airport and we were planning to stay one night before travelling on to the Eolian Islands. The main reason we chose it was because there was a free shuttle from the airport, however by the date we arrived the shuttle had been discontinued. We spent a lot of time investigating alternatives […] to a taxi, as some people on this forum said the taxi was 40 euros or more (even though it's only a 5 minute drive). In effect the only alternative is to take a bus part of the way then walk a kilometer along a rather drab stretch of road (with your luggage). After some investigation I found a pre-bookable taxi service that charged 20 euros (some of them want 25 or 28 euros) called Taxi-Catania. The driver was waiting for us at arrivals, and was polite and efficient. The hotel itself was fairly new, nice decor and very quiet, and service was friendly and polite. The room had a great balcony view of the sea and Etna, but we couldn't adjust the heating and the temperature was too hot. The location is very run-down/industrial and the nearest stretch of beach was completely covered in litter. This part of town was clearly out of season, but none the less pretty seedy. We did find a pizza place in a bowling alley but had a long walk along a partially-unlit main road.If you're looking for a place that's convenient for the airport, this isn't it. It costs the same to get to a town centre hotel, so the location is no advantage here. Read more

We have just had a wonderful week at this hotel - location was great, staff were very kind and always willing to help, hotel exceptionally clean. I went with my 2 daughters and throughout our stay, we felt very safe. There was a good mixture of guests at the hotel including Italian, French and English families as well as business people. The swimming […] pool was lovely as was the private beach - a real plus - with a hotel lifeguard at each venue. The hotel is about 10 mins drive out of town, situated in front of a number of public lidos (beaches), however there is the free hotel shuttle bus to get into Catania and the public buses are very frequent (last bus from town at 12.40am - use line D buses) and take you to Piazza Borsellino. Buy bus tickets from the cafe next to McDonalds by the bus station. We could not have chosen a better hotel for its location and the quality of the stay. Read more

Das Hotel liegt gut, uns haben die Flugzeuge nicht gestört ( das Hotel liegt in der Nähe der Startbahn, aber am Strand). Es ist ein eher Business-Hotel, daher etwas ruhiger, was unseren Bedürfnissen entsprach. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Confortevole anche se aria condizionata durante assenza era regolata su basse temperature. da 42 gradi a 23 gradi si rischia colpo freddo. Gentilmente lo staff e' riuscito ad alzare a 26 gradi la temperatura. Va benissimo per uomini di affari o per giovani che vogliano usarlo come base d'appoggio.

Das Hotel liegt am Stadtrand in Strandnähe und ist durch eine Hauptverkehrsstrasse vom Strand getrennt. Es gibt tagsüber einen kostenlosen Hotelshuttle vom Hotel zum Airport und in die Stadt zu festen Zeiten. Dies empfanden wir als sehr angenehm. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend gross und liegen alle ruhig. Das Frühstückbuffet ist umfangreich, auf Bestellung […] gab es auch div. Kaffeespezialitäten gratis, hier also nachfragen. Der Service im Hotel war sehr gut, das Personal hat uns stets freundlich weiter helfen können. Sie empfahlen uns Restaurants, haben Reservierungen durchgeführt und waren stets ansprechbar. Das Hotel verfügt über eine saubere Poolanlage mit Handtuchservice und Sonnenliegen kostenlos. Am Pool befindet sich eine kleine Bar mit antialkoholischen und alkoholischen Getränken. Diese waren kostenpflichtig. Der Privatstrand des Hotels war nach Überquerung der vierspurigen Hauptstrasse (stets gefahrlos möglich :-)) für Gäste reserviert. Auch hier standen kostenlose Liegen und Sonnenschirme zur Verfügung. Desweiteren war jeweils ein Mitarbeiter des Hotels vor Ort, um uns die Strandverkäufer vom Leibe zu halten :-) Der kilometerlange Strand ermöglichte tiefe Einblicke in die sizilianische Kultur und Lebenslust. Das Wasser war sauber, es gab nur vereinzelte Algen, der Meeresboden war angenehm feinsandig. Die Nähe des Hotels zum Flughafen garantiert von den linken Sitzplätzen aus einen letzten direkten Blick auf die Hotelanlage. Wir waren eine Gruppe von vier Freunden, die das Ambiente dieses Businesshotels sehr genossen haben. Für einen mehrwöchigen Familienurlaub eignet sich das Hotel weniger. Read more
