ALL staff is very polite and helpfull. They will go out of there way to assist you with any of your needs. I would recomend the Clarion to everyone. On the down side they have renovations going on and restaurant is closed and the front desk is a short distance to the elevators. Stop in and say "HI" the staff will greet you with a smile. I have been here the last 7 weekends and VERY HAPPY...

hotel's being renovated, so no pool, and lobby half painted. they tell you this up front. staff is very helpful; room tidy and pretty, breakfast quite substantial, fresh fruit too. they are having trouble with wifi in the rooms, but it's easily to be had in the lobby and breakfast space. very convenient to airport.
Location.
Situated in East Hartford, Econo Lodge is close to Rentschler Field, Colt Park, and Connecticut Convention Center. Also nearby are Hugenot House and Constitution Plaza.

"you get what you pay for"
Basic motel for a low price. Don't expect fancy or luxurious. Room was decent, clean, and did it's job...I needed two nights stay for a two night music fest--was only in the room for sleeping. Hot shower with good water pressure. Thin walls, flat pillows though. Felt like it was in a sketchy neighborhood, but I had no problems.

The service was good. The employee's were polite, and respctful. I liked the wireless connection that was available. However, Don't expect anything fancy, because it's not. The walls and trim in bathroom was slightly run down. However, It's definitely worth what you will pay for.
"tough neighborhood"
The property is surrounded by fence. one side has barbed wire. Lobby has bullet proof glass with speaker hole to talk to employee. Free porn channel - I will never stay at this or any other econolodge again.

"East hartford CT"
the TV did not work very good at all. and the room smelled funny. When we got to our it was freezing. But the people were very nice and helpful. And it was close to the XL in down Hartford

"Economical, but hard to find"
The room/service was about what was expected for the price. make sure to ask about internet at check in. breakfast was donuts and coffee. Practically impossible to get into the parking lot. "cheap-got what we paid for"
EXTREMELY hard to find. GPS will take you the totally wrong place... call them for a different address to put in to find it. Over all got what we paid for... the cheapest we could find for the night. very run down but it worked. Breakfast was nasty coffee, nasty OJ, croissants, and glazed doughnuts.

The whole hotel needs improvement. AC wasn't working. It was very old. Their wasn't anyone @ the front desk, when I went to check in. I tried calling hoping they would have a portable phone, but nobody answered

"Close to the concert"
I'll say that this hotel is a bit run down but for the price is was worth it. I would not go here if you are looking for anything more than a late night place to get some quick sleep. The price was good and we did not need to drive all the way back home. This place was only 5 minutes to the concert so the location was pretty good. There are plenty of […] places to eat in the area along with stores and a licquor store next to the hotel. Worked out good for us... but we're not picky! Read more
