"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!
"Wonderful hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The westbury is a great hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Dublin soon!

"Close enough to everything, far enough for quiet"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
Very pleasant. We stayed directly in temple bar 3 nights before and wanted one night of quiet before we left. Receptionist was extremely helpful and even mailed a postcard for me so I wouldn't have to walk. Would stay again.

The staff were very accomodating, friendly and my room was very clean and the bed comfy.
"Nice Hotel"
We found this hotel to be just fine. No WIFI in the rooms--this was misleading. But the staff were nice enough, the room clean, plenty of hot water. Very convenient, right by Parnell Square.
"Great rates, great location."
We stayed at the Belvedere for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and well priced. Breakfast was not included in the room charge so we never ate at the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and there was tea/coffee and a hair dryer in the room. The shower had great water pressure and very hot water. The only downside was that our […] room never got made up, despite our sign on the door knob that indicated that we would like it to be made up. The cleaning people did leave clean towels and toilet paper outside our door, though. Also, our room looked out onto an alley/cut through which was really noisy between 2 and 3 AM both nights. Because of the price, however, I would definitely recommend this place to others traveling. Read more
Comfortable & clean little room. Right around the corner from the Gardens of Remembrance so city center is within convenient walking distance but you are just far away enough from the noise and commotion. I would stay there again if I return to Dublin.
"Big Room"
We had two twins and a double bed in a room for two people. I'm not sure why we had so much room, but I'm not complaining. The location was about a block away from most buses and some main streets. My only complaint was the groups of student tour groups that tended to hang out in the hallways and were very loud in the morning. Otherwise, very happy […] . Read more
"Belvedere Hotel in Dublin"
Pretty decent hotel at a good price. Close to O'Connell Street. Quiet area. Clean room. Allowed me to store bags when arriving early. I would recommend to others but skip the breakfast.
"Overall Very Satisfied"
I'm usually pretty skeptical when I'm able to get a hotel as cheaply as I did with The Belvedere Hotel, but I must say, other than the beds not being as comfortable as I'd like, the hotel was in a great location (about a half block from a busy street, so minimal street noise), the Aircoach bus from the airport drops off 2 blocks away, so very convenient […] getting to and from the airport and it was always very clean. Even when I didn't need maid service, there was sill clean towels sitting in front of my door every day. The wireless internet was free and the connection was fast, but was only available in the lobby area. For the price and location, I would definitely stay here again! Read more
Excellent hotel, especially for the price. Location is excellent. Transportation to and from the airport is convenient using the less costly city bus. Hotel staff helped a great deal with questions asked. Room was very clean.. I would definitely stay there again.
"French visitors"
had a nice single night stay. No excessive luxury in this hotel, but much comfortable enough for a few nights stay (as long as you don't stay the whole day in your room - don't expect fantastic views from your windows). Beds are comforable and personnel helpful. Buffet breakfast is "regular" !

"Good hotel"
Nothing to day - a very good hotel. They actually gave me a huge room at the price of a single room!

"Good Hotel"
The Belvedere is a good place to stay in Dublin at a reasonable price. Our room was big, as was the bathroom, and both were clean. Some other reviews have said that the beds were uncomfortable but I found my mattress to be pretty comfortable. The one issue I had with the hotel was the heat; the room was cold despite my having turned the heat all the […] way up. I had this problem in other hotels in Ireland, so perhaps they just keep the heat low there. The location is good, a 10-15 minute walk from the Temple Bar area. Overall this is a good hotel for not too much money. Read more
"Uncomfortable Bed"
The hotel was in a decent location, but the bed was terribly uncomfortable. My husband and I only stayed for 1 night, so it wasn't a big deal (the location was more important), but if we were staying longer, this would have been a very major inconvenience. I recommend the hotel update its beds...
"Average"
The hotel is conveniently placed for the new look O'Connel Street and many of Dublin's favourite places. The staff were pleasant and cooperative but things weren't all that efficient. eg it took several calls before the empty soap container in the bathroom was replaced. The corridor carpet was very dirty and stained and gave an uncared for look […] to the building. Read more
"Good, not near Temple Bar"
Nice room, very clean. Beds need improvement as ours was noticably sunken in in the middle causing us to roll over on ourselves. Breakfast was nice, but expensive. There are no convenient busses from this location to temple bar area, making it a hassle to walk in the rain, but right off of the main walkway through town. Service was good. Using internet […] was expensive... Why do so many hotels expect you to pay for internet? Only one computer in the middle of the lobby. Ok for the money. Read more
"great location, great price"
Great location, great price. Staff helpful, able to leave luggage for 1/2 day until check in. Room comfortable, nice shower with plenty of hot water but had some minor power trouble with some of the lights and TV. Enjoyed the downstairs pub, friendly and pour a nice pint. It was a convenient spot to meet up with others and end the day. Would recommend […] it highly. Read more
"Great Hotel"
This hotel is in an excellent location. It was 3-4 minutes from O'Connell Street, and then 10 minutes from the river. The staff was very helpful with the room as well as helping us get around. I would recommend this hotel.
"good value for central location"
This hotel proved a good find for our midweek break. A short walk from Parnell Square and O'Connell Street. The rooms were clean & serviced daily. Plenty of restaurants & some notable attractions nearby. Parnell St has a large shopping centre.
"Friendly Staff"
The hotel staff were so friendly! Our room was by no means luxury, but when you're visiting Dublin, the whole idea is to be OUT of your room anyway. It was clean and the front desk people were very helpful with bus info, etc.
"Good Hotel, bad rooms face the street"
Liked the hotel, clean room, reasonable prices, friendly staff. The only problem is the rooms facing the street. During summer months since the rooms don't have AC you'll have to open up the window. Right under the hotel is a night club and if you know the Irish they tend to be a rowdy crowd so the noise will be constant at late hours. Request rooms […] away from the street during hot days (winter months s/b fine since you can close the window). Read more
"Close to everything"
This hotel is central and cheap. What more do you want? The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Previous reviewers complained about the noise outside - well what are you doing going to bed early in Dublin?? A good stay in a vibrant city.
"Good value good location nice staff let down by poor standards of room cleanliness"
Stayed at the Belvedere 20th June. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent value for money in a very convenient location- tucked in a quiet street only a few minutes walk from O'connell Street one of the main shopping streets in Dublin. The Belvedere was let down by poor standard of room hygiene- i was glad i bought a pack of multiclean wipes as the […] room was dusty- there were spots on the furnishings that did not appear to be cleaned for a few weeks!! On the plus side rooms decent size and linen clean- would use it again(but will still bring my multipurpose wipes) MS Read more
"ok hotel"
not bad location for o'connell street but much further than stated for o2 arena. also NO, NONE NOT ANY late night bar or service facilities "just use the vending machines" which are very expensive.
"Very good value"
The room was quiet, tidy and clean with a spaceous bathroom. Staff were polite and helpful. Excellent location.
"Great room and location for the money"
The staff was very helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. Great neighborhood! For the money, it was a great deal. I would definitely stay here again.
"You get what you pay for"
I'm a seasoned traveler and I rarely complain but the bed was uncomfortable, the tv and safe didn't work, the spring loaded sink splashed water all over you, the hotel itself was very noisy at night and the surrounding area didn't seem to be very safe either. The location is also not very condusive to easy sightseeing in Dublin. We ended up staying […] only one of our five nights. Read more
"A Value Hotel"
Nice Staff and clean hotel. Small rooms and no airconditioning. If you stay here, get a good rate.
"cheap+cheerfull"
i stayed at this hotel recently, while attending a concert in the o2.I found the hotel room comfortable+very spacious.staff were friendly +helpfull.the only complaint i would have would be regarding the facilities.I needed to use an iron+as there wasn't one in the room i had to go to the other end of the hotel+use the iron in the laundry room.Apart from […] this i found my stay in the belvedere hotel very pleasant Read more
"Better than expected!"
Location was fine a short stroll and in the thick of things but far enough away to be very quiet in the evenings. Bathroom was a little tired but spotless. Complimentary toiletries - so saves the battle through airport security. Complimentary tea and coffee always a bonus. Did not opt for breakfast so can't comment but WOULD stay again.

"Great hotel, excellent value"
10 minute walk to Temple Bar and 2 minute walk to one of the main shopping streets. Food was yummy and plentiful. Murphys pub a few minutes away did the best breakfast and was cheap. Avoid the cafe on the corner of the street near the hotel, they precook everything, even the eggs, then microwave it infront of your eyes and expect you to pay over the […] odds. Room was great, amazing value. The hotel supplies towels and hand and body wash. Book the dublin bus tour, great way to get around for 2 days, we used it as our taxi. Also go on the walking tour! "conviniant to city centre but only 1 star hotel"
Rooms were ok walls needed a fresh paint. 1st room we were put in had not been cleaned so we were moved to another room. single bedheads still on the wall even though it was a double room. Bathroom needed updating. basic 1 star hotel definitely would not stay again
"Nice Stay!"
We had a nice stay here during st.paddys! polite and helpful staff and a good breakfast. only negative thing was bad air conditioning in the room.. no windows in the room was possible to open.
"Belvedeve Dublin parnell square"
lovely hotel, convenient to all visitor attractions and very comfy and clean
"weekend at belvedere hotel"
Very nice hotel. The room felt very homie. It very worm and nice; very good heating. I like everything about the room and the services. I would give 10/10.
Not a budget hotel but very good value for money. It is the 2nd time I have stayed here. Excellent breakfast and good bar down stairs. Highly recommended.

"Cheap as chips"
Unreal hotel, excellent location and cheap
Went for weekend. Staff very friendly and very helpful. would stay here again.
"Not a bad hotel for the price"
We were fairly pleased with our stay at this hotel. Only a few minor faults. The lobby and common areas - halls elevators etc were a little bit grubby, as was the toilet in our room. Not unpleasantly so, but still not as clean as you would expect. Also, the hotel is almost straight across the street from a lap dancing club. Again, not too big a deal if […] you're not bothered by it, and there was no trouble or unsavoury people hanging around the area. Still though, the location for the rest of Dublin is good and the hotel was good value for money. Read more
Enjoyed my stay.hotel is located a few minutes walk from o' connell st and near michelin star restaurant chapter one. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

"Belvedere Hotel, Dublin"
A bit tired but adequate. The worst imitation of an Irish breakfast I have ever had - tesco value yoghurt, and everything else tasted like it was from the same range - tasteless! Save you €8 and have a real, full Irish breakfast in one of the many pubs offering it around the Trinty area of the city.
"Short stay at Belvedere"
Very friendly staff, very comfortable king size bed. Five minute walk into Dublin. The only criticism would be that we had a 3 course meal in the attached pub we both had fish and chips as a main course and it was a typical microwave meal but it was very reasonable for Dublin so I suppose it goes to show you get what you pay for.
