Domus Pacis Torre Rossa Park

The hotel is a little out of the centre but easily reached by car, which was what we needed due to a late arrival. Walking to the Vatican is an option without children but with, you really need transport. There is a convenient bus but there was a bus strike the day we were there so we took our car in. This was suprisingly easy (during the week) and […] the plethera of free parking places right next to the top tourist spots, for only 4euro all day, was even more surprising. Rooms are very old and in dire need of some restoration work so do not expect much, but the beds were comfortable and we slept well enough. Just remember to hang the "do not disturb" sign outside the door since the cleaning lady starts her rounds rather too early! The breakfast is very limited and 15min before breakfast finishes, they are already clearing the food away so you need to be quick! The restaurant in the evening was really fantastic - very attractive garden area, excellent service and very nice food. If you get a good price deal in this hotel as we did, then it is well worth it. Wir waren für vier Tage in diesem Hotel und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Frühstück war gut (es gibt Besseres aber es war völlig ausreichend). Die Zimmer sind klein aber ausreichend. Ruhige Lage mit schönen Sitzgelegenheiten draussen und sehr schön, um abends bei einer Flasche Wein (ca. 15 €) den Tag ausklingeln zu lassen. Mit dem Bus, der nur ca. fünf […] Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt abfährt, ist man in ca. 15 Minuten am Vatikan. Wir würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall wieder buchen. Read more

Petyin hotellista annettuun kuvaukseen, koska huone oli eri rakennuksessa kuin itse hotelli, neljä erillistä kolme kerroksista rakennusta, joiden kunto oli kohtuullinen. Ilmastointi ei toiminut kunnolla. Yön jälkeen ikkunat olivat märät, kun sisällä oli niin kosteaa. Lisäksi kuvauksessa oli maininta hotellissa sijaitsevasta ravintolasta, mutta kävi […] ilmi, että se oli vain ryhmille tarkoitettu, ei yksittäisille asiakkaille. Olisi ollut kätevää mennä syömään pienen lapsen kanssa, mutta sen sijaan jouduimme etsimään itse ruokapaikan (onneksi sellainen löytyi läheltä).
