Other than one minor thing, my stay, as usual, was great. The lobby was a mess due to renovations, which I wish I would have known in advance. But the... staff was friendly and professional and my room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Hampton Inn is my very favorite of the chain hotels because of the value. It was very clean and comfortable room. The hotel service was very helpful. The only problem was that the tap water of sink was running very little; therefore we had to use the water from bathtub.

My stay was ok but each time I had to deal with the staff I was not happy. When I called on the phone to ask questions and possibly change the beds, from one to two, the person would not give me her name. Plus she told me I could not make any changes with them that I could only make changes by contacting Hotel.com. Which did nothing but irritate and […] frustrate me. When I was checking in and asking if I could change anything I was told the same thing again! Needless to say I did not make any changes because I did not want the hassle of finding your number and going thru explaining everything and waiting for Hotel.com to call them to make the changes! I would stay here again. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was quite large. My only complaint is that my husband left a very expensive jacket in the closet, and he called as soon as he realized he left it, but we haven't receive a call back from the manager. We were told we'd get a call back the next day. That was two days ago.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was very friendly, room very clean with an amazing airconditioner as it gets extremely hot in sacramento. Right off of the freeway. wish that it was in a little better of a neighborhood. but overall great hotel.

I had family from Europe stay at our local Hampton Inn, and I was very impressed with the staff, the service, and the room. The front desk treated us all as family. So when I found myself travelling to Sacramento recently I immediately looked to book at a Hampton Inn. I had a similar experinece. The staff was very professional and curteous. The room […] was ready and clean(my family and I love their linen.) You can not beat the breakfast, no hard roll and frozen pat of butter here. It is a full on hot breakfast, with a multitude of choices. And I had the impression that snacking was not only allowed but encouraged throughout the day. Our check in was very smooth and the hotel common areas were very clean and decor was nice. However when we entered our it was very cold so we turned on the heater. It had not been used in so long it started smoking and smelled bad. The smoke set the smoke detector off and it would not stop. It took four calls and trips by their service tech before […] they finally decided to exchange the detector for a new one. It would not stop beeping. Other than that the Hotel and our room was very nice and quiet. I would recommend and stay at this hotel again. The breakfast was pretty good as well but some of their pastries were a little stale.
