I and my family stayed at this hotel for our college visit in the town. The room was clean and well maintained. Beds were a little too soft, and had a bleach smell that made me and my husband sneeze a few times. It seemed the cusions behind the pillow on the bed do not seem to be washed everytime and smellled a little bit. But these details didn't bother me much. Everything else in the room was very good for the price.

Needed to find a good, reasonable place to stay for my sons hockey tournament in western mass. Didnt want to stay in a hockey hotel with parents and screaming kids. What a find the Old Mills is. It's a B&B for sure; quiet, clean, friendly, great breakfast in the AM..... couldn not have been more pleased.... A+++

We picked this hotel because it had a hot tub, and the pool/hot tub area was open late (till 10). It was very nice. A comfortable lobby, ample breakfast, nice and clean.

Welcome to the Autumn Inn The Autumn Inn is a New England Colonial style Inn near downtown Northampton and Smith College. Our 32-room property is completely nonsmoking and offers a variety of rooms. Complimentary Continental Breakfast is served daily in the great room. A computer, with high speed internet and a printer, is available in the lobby for your convenience. In the winter imagine finishing your day up by relaxing front of our roaring fire in our great room. The Northampton area offers a wide array of Art, Dance, Music Theater, Galleries, Crafts, International Cuisine, and Boutiques. Downtown Northampton is only a 10 minute walk from our hotel. Take your time exploring all the area has to offer. Catch a concert at the nearby Calvin Theater or the Iron Horse Music Hall. PLEASE NOTE Rooms for groups are limited and reservations for 5 or more rooms must be made through our sales office. Please call the hotel for more information. Our outdoor pool is open seasonally June-September.

waited too long to book rooms for weekend graduation. Autumn Inn was availlable at late date. If you are looking for the cookie cutter room at national... chains(ie. every room the same etc) not your place. The rooms were large and comfortable. Very Clean. Appearence is somewhat dated but don't let that turn you off. Can walk to dowtown NorthHampton which is a hidden gem. The hotel is clean. Really! Also it is within walking distance (just under a mile) from the Calvin, Ironhorse the Basement, etc. Very nice folks at the desk as well. Also right down the block from Smith College for those who care. I sure don`t.

Very good value for the price. Breakfast was adequate for me and coffee perfect. Stayed upstairs so too warm for me even with the heat off, so slept with window open. Plenty of hot water for long shower. Very helpful staff, very clean and traveling alone I felt safe in the room due to deadbolt lock and chain lock.

For a Noho trip, this is the place. Service is personal, free breakfast is good and there is a big fireplace. It's a trip back to a simpler time. The soundproofing between rooms needs work. I lived through hearing my traveling neighbors just fine. Nice TVs and comfy beds. The neighborhood is gorgeous.

Very conveniently located--walk to downtown-- with a very friendly and easy going staff. This is a nice, well cared for local place. Nothing fancy but comfortable and after having stayed here probably a half dozen times I'd say it is consistently pleasant, quiet, and friendly. Rooms are simple but clean and in good condition.

Small-ish bed was fine, but room could easily be upgraded to a Queen given the size of the room (which was quite large). It is nice and cozy, close to downtown. Unfortunately we stayed on the ground floor, room #17, so we can hear people walking, making noise upstairs late night and early morning that was a bummer. And we also found some little ants in the bathroom.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Autumn Inn: The accommodations were excellent and the location could not have been better for access to Northampton and the beautiful surroundings of Smith College. The Autumn Inn is a lovely place, inviting, pretty grounds, a fine layout, a parking lot no larger than it needs to be and green around. Jim and Ethel at breakfast were fun and amiable, though Jim was permitted none of the delicious hard-boiled eggs, several of which i gobbled, to his envy.

This inn is modest but clean and charming. It's in an absolutely perfect location. You can walk to the central town of Northampton and to Smith College campus. The continental breakfast was adequate (not great but the same you get anywhere else) but the dining area was lovely. A really nice place to sit and drink your morning tea or coffee before you […] set out for the day. Rooms were perfectly clean and very comfortable. Don't expect luxury - this is really a higher end roadside motel but it's just right if you need a modest, affordable, clean place to stay close to town. This is a very ordinary facility. It needs substantial updating. When your room door rattles as a result of the door across the hall closing, you know you're in for a long night. There was a musty smell from the halllway carpets as well. Considering that the Auburn Inn is directly across the street from Smith College (where a year's tuition could fund […] the renovation of several rooms), one might expect a better establishment. If you are looking for a really nice place to stay, the Auburn Inn should not be your first choice unless you plan to spend ALL your time away from the room. Read more

I only stayed at this hotel one night because I was in the town to attend a birthday party. I went there because my relatives recommended it and I was so glad I took their advice.
