Marina Sol - Cabo San Lucas

We were given a Condo that needed refurbishing bad.The towels were in ragged condition. Bedroom had no Window, Bathroom Sink did not drain good. All in all not good experience.

We found Marina Sol to be exactly what we were looking for. It is an older hotel but very clean. We were pleased with the roominess of the unit and the close proximity to everything we wanted to explore. We sometimes took taxis, sometimes took the city bus and most of the time, we walked to our destinations. Raul, the Concierge was very helpful when […] my husband broke his glasses and we needed to get them fixed. Our bed was a little bit lumpy and the kitchen toaster didn't work but nothing worth stressing out over! We did have a little problem when we changed our dollars to pesos. We had to go to three banks before we found one which would exchange! You want to keep some pesos because some restaurants don't take bank cards and don't keep a lot of cash on hand for change. Nice big room, nice pool and grounds. Good value for families. Easy walking location to town, beach, marina, and great restaurants. Great breakfast at good price available poolside. Avoid building a due to street noise issues. surrounding area has several bars and parties continued until 4 to 5 in the morning. We were awakened by a mariachi band at […] 5 am - sounded like they were in our room, even with the doors closed. Problems with the sewer during our stay flooded the main street outside our hotel every day. hopefully this has been fixed. Read more

Though our 2 BR-2 Bath was rundown with ratty furniture and not very clean, I would consider staying at Marina Sol again under a few conditions. After talking to a number of guests there, I found that there was quite a difference between the units the resort owned and those rented out by private owners. I had contacted Marina Sol mgmt prior to our arrival […] and was told "we save the nicest units for our Expedia customers". In looking at the photos on the website, I was very reassured. When we checked in we found that the website photos were not at all representative of the unit we were given. We asked for a transfer and the one offered was worse. Avoid units in Bldg C. Bldg C sits on a very busy road with heavy traffic and dogs barking all night. Our unit was C-303. I met some private owners and renters from private owners who actually showed me their units and they were beautiful. The pool area is very nice and they even have a separate small childrens swimming area. Marina Sol Resort offers nicely kept and appointed condominiums. The pool is beautiful and the resort location is convenient for walking to the beach, maria and old town Cabo. The staff at the Oasis Bar & Grill are very friendly.

We had no idea what to expect of the hotel when we arived with our daughter and her husband for their first trip to Cabo (our 4th). We normally stay at the Bonita Rose at friends time share. We were definitely delighted with the location. Very short walk to the beach for the Office and Mango Deck where we stayed all day and a 1 block walk to the downtown […] where we walked every night. There are several excellent restaurants on the same block or a short walk including the Gondolina (must go). Muy placentera solo que no hay bell boy y eso es a veces dificil, pues tengo 61 años y llevabamos 2 maletas y nos hubiera gustado encontrar ayuda para subir las maletas por la escalera de llegada y para la salida, a excepcion de ello, todo EXCELENTE, tanto el trato en la gerencia como el conciergue RAUL.

excelente, aunque sus habitaciones son enormes y cuando lo vimos por internet no decia la total capacidad de alojamiento por recamara, pues fuimos en familia, mi esposa, mi hijo de 19 años y su servidor nos alojaron en una habitacion con 2 recamaras con 1 cama king y una individual, perfecto y la otra recamara con 2 camas individuales y tuvimos que […] rentar otro condo, con la misma capacidad de 4 camas siendo ellos 2 adultos y 2 niños, nosotros fuimos en total 5 adultos y 2 niños, por lo demas, muy contentos, por todo y lo mejor, la cocina, el restaurant OASIS muy sabrosa y economica, siempre ofreciendo grandes platillos y de excelente calidad.
