Although we only spent on e night here on our way back home, this was a beautiful hotel and the rooms were very comfy. The breakfast was very nice - more than continental. I really liked the computer screen that displayed attractions, restaurants and shops. The application provided directions too. Nice place to stop!

The restaurant in the hotel is great! I had smoked salmon alfredo and sauteed spinach. It was nice to have real food after a day of road snacks. Ramada was a good choice for our stay in Newark, Delaware. Hotel is right off Route 95 with many restaurants in the immediate area. Check-in staff was lovely. In summery: no hot water for days. Front desk said that they were "working on it" but wouldn't get a manager because "they don't work weekends" and provided nothing to compensate for there being no hot water for days. Would not stay again

Was embarrased at front desk...BECAUSE I used a debit card...had to give a 100.00 cash deposit....when checking out...was told room needed to be checked out before money would be returned...very embarrasing not to mention unneccessary

You did not ask about the breakfast food. News flash, we here in the US do not eat rice for breakfast, nor do we put cabbage in our breakfast potatoes. I honestly think that the hotel owner puts such unappetizing hot dishes out for breakfast to save a buck. If no one eats it then you dont have to put but one pan out per day. The hotel is yet to be desired. The bathroom was out dated and very disappointting. The toilet was a basic sloan vvalve with a flush lever like your would see in a commerical setting. The hallways smelled like smoke from cigarettes. People arguing outside and no desk people around when I arrived.

Ended up with a lot more than what we expected for what we paid. Hot breakfast, clean modern room, nice facilities. The only downside is no elevator if you get a room on the second floor.

The reason why I chose this hotel was because I was visiting the Univ. of De and needed a place to spend the night. It was not particularly close to campus but the location did provide some eateries and nearby shopping. The first that hit me I walked in was the strong smell of cigarette smoke. This smell (dispite the no-smoking signs) would dog me for […] the rest of my stay. The second thing that hit me was the $100 "incidental" fee that was immediately charged to my card! Of course, there was no sign of such a fee on Hotel.com so I was a bit taken aback by this. They said that it would be refunded a week after checkout but I felt that this simply was unacceptable. The room it self was old. The bed, while somewhat comfortable did not look particularly clean (why do hotels not clean their comforters every day in this day and age? Do they think guest wont know?) The bathroom was ok, but I did not feel comfortable taking a shower in there. The carpet needed to be ripped out and replaced and the strong smell of cigarette smoke was ubiquitous. FInally it was loud! My fellow guests were allowed to stand in the hallways and talk loudly and repeatedly slam their doors all night long. Ill end this by saying that different people will have different perspectives so if you are simply looking for a cheap bed (minus the $100 deposit) after a long drive this will do. The room that I was given had an extremely strong chemical odor. My eyes burned and my sinuses were clogged by morning . I requested a room change after two nights without sleep and my room was changed, but the odor, though less, was still present. In the original room I needed to get up several times during the night to drink warm water to alleviate […] my sore throat. This did not happen in the second room... I was told that the carpet had been cleaned in the first room-- it seems to me that more effort should have been made to get the solvent out. Hotel did not have elevator. For the star rating that it has the Hotel was O.K. Had asked for a King size bed which they said they had over booked and did not have and offered a room with two queen size bed and good thing on that since one of the bed sheets had something on it but the other was clean and fresh.

Initially we were not happy because we had booked this hotel primarily because it offered a room with a king-size bed (the other nearby hotels either were booked for this kind of room or were much more expensive.).When we arrived the staff apologized and said that those rooms were either sold out or because the day was Thanksgiving and they were understaffed, […] the other rooms had not been cleaned. However, the room we got was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and quiet -- so we forgive them. The breakfast included with the price was a REAL breakfast -- a lot of choices, all you can eat, and delicious. The room was clean and the housekeeping as it should be. A good value overall. Breakfast was as expected and we would re-book if we stayed in the area again. Outside parking area was a bit untidy (leaves and litter) and a little bit of clean up would have presented a better first impression. Desk staff were very pleasant and helpful with questions.
