Fell into this place as the first choice was already booked. Lucky us! Hotel was clean, comfortable, and staff is happy to deal with tourists. Concierge was great and can't complain about the amenities. There was something not right about the A/C. It got very hot in the middle of night. Once there was a burning smell in the room, though we called the front office, no one came to check it out. Luckily it went away after half an hour.

We booked a king suite, which was perfect to accommodate my wife and I and also our older son who stayed on the pullout sofa in the living room area. I'm not sure why the hotel didn't provide valet parking. To pay $22 to park your own car in an open lot seems out of line being from the Atlanta area. When it is raining like it was when we arrived, the parking glitch gets illuminated. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!

The location of the hotel was great. You could walk of take public transportation to any of New Orleans sites, restaurants, etc. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful; made you feel at home during the entire stay.

We've never stayed at a Homewood Suites Hotel before and chose this hotel solely on its location (near the hotel where my husband was attending a conference). We were thoroughly delighted with our choice! The roome was very spacious and very user-friendly. We were prepared to have breakfast included with our stay, but this was a very nice breakfast […] with interesting additions each day. What we didn't expect was to have dinner provided Monday-Thursday nights! We had 2 of the dinners and were very pleased with the quality of the food. The location of the hotel was perfect for my husband to attend his conference which was only 3 blocks away. . .but it was also very convenient for me to "wander around the town" being easily walkable to the French Quarter, the Warehouse District, and the Central Business District. We ate at a couple of restrauants we had been to on our last trip to New Orleans about 10 years ago, and found some new "favorites" that we will definitely go to the next time we are in town. We also took a Cajun cooking class at Crescent City Cooks and the class couldn't have been better. Also attended the BBQ & Blues Festival at Lafayette Park which was only a short block away. We had two small maintenance problems with our room, but the maintenance crew was in our room to fix the problems shortly after we reported them.
