We were in building 4 and enjoyed the ocean view. There is an elevator for the building, but it was slow, so we usually took the stairs (I used the mantra "exercise is good", while climbing the stairs - ha). The only minor downfall...is you have to purchase internet service, which was 6.99 a day for EACH device and rent the kayaks (I guess, I didn't do that). For the price, this place was run down, old and very well used. We had a two bedroom which was immediately disappointing as soon as we walked in. It smelled stagnate, like no one had stayed there in weeks, all of the furniture was at least 15 years old. All of the cushions were dirty, stained and so matted down that they were completely uncomfortable. I must say our stay was great because we made the best of it among family and friends. The rooms were nothing like the pictures, upon walking into the kitchen for the first time I ran into a huge roach, I paid for ocean view and got over grown trees to look at. I'm not sure I would recommend this hotel to others.

Have been there before. Like it alot, well kept grounds, clean, large pool but no tiki bar. Had a 2 bedroom unit, comfortable but no view of water, the only view was from the living room, the screened balcony was very small, no way 3 adults could be out there at the same time. The prior stay was also a 2 bedroom with beautiful views from master bedroom […] and living area. We had 3 adults, all coffee drinkers, when I figured out later in the evening we only had 1 pack of coffee, called the front desk and was told they just gave the last pack away and are out of coffee. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly, amenities are great. Private beach was nice to have withing walking distance, and the pool was a great size pool. Not much of a playground, but you can see that in the pictures. The food is incredibly expensive and limited. Several items we tried to order were unavailable. The beach itself is kind of crummy in that […] the sand is about an inch deep, and then it's hard pack underneath. Walking/running barefoot is a little rough. The room itself was a little dated, could use some repairs, but overall wasn't too bad at all. The balcony was much smaller than expected. Make sure you get the building next to the restaurant, overlooking the marina (building 5). The others are just not convenient and are in the middle of other buildings. I would probably stay again, but for the price we've found private rentals on Miami's South Beach, where the beaches themselves are nicer. In our unit, the kitchen was updated, but the bathrooms had cracked tiles and some dry rot on the bottom of the cabinets. Read more

A cockraoch in the living room was the low-light of this stay. Our apt had its best days long gone - in the kitchen there were permanent stains and the interior obviously needs to be renovated. The area is very nice - pool and location by the sea as well. Overall bad value for money and a cockroach in the living room speaking for itself...

Large Condo with full kitchen, 2 bed rooms and 2 bath. Very comfortable. Location in the Upper Keys is great. Has ramp and dockage in its own marina. Tennis courts and swimming pool. The kitchen is stocked to a bare minium with services for 6 and a few pots and pans. So if you plan to do a lot of eating in you will need to shop for everything. (Multiple […] big chain grocery stores are near by.) There is a small bar and cafe on property for light meals, and a lot of very nice resturants near by. Eating out is not a problem. The condo is older and the units are individually owned, so the furnishing and decor very. The furnature in our unit was showing its age, and the carpet and some of the cushions were stained. The cleaning crew did a good job with the kitchen and bath, but the living room needed dusting and the floors needed wiping up. One call to the main desk and everything was taken care of, but it should have been a little cleaner prior to our arrival. There is no daily maid service, but you can get clean towels at any time with a call to the front desk. It is much more like you are staying in your own home than a hotel. We have stayed before and we will definetely stay again. It has more of a "home" and it is a great value for the money. I would recommend it for families with young children. Read more

The room was very small but nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The remote for the tv did not work and the door was so hard to close and open that we had to slam it really hard. I could hear everyone around us doing the same thing to their doors too so we didn't see a point in moving. The pool was beautiful but very cold. The people at the front […] desk were nice however, my toddler got sick when we were there and we had to put the blankets that were on her bed outside. We called the front desk and asked for a blanket and more towels which they brought, but we were shocked and disappointed that they didn't pick up any of the dirty blankets/bedding that was right outside of our front door! They walked right past it. The next day when we were packing our car up and walking around the pile of blankets, the housekeeping staff parked their cart right in front of our door so we had to manuever our way around their cart and the pile to try and get everything in our car. We mentioned the blankets and they didn't say anything or move aside, pick them up, etc. The construction on this area of the island wasn't the hotels fault of course, but a major problem.
