Make sure to get a 2nd floor room, with somebody on top of your room impossible to sleep, als the type of guest are not the quietest in the morning. Parking spaces little small and breakfast just a bred and some instant coffee.

This is our second stay at the Nob Hill Motor Inn, we like staying here because it's close to everywhere we want to go. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very nice.

When we booked the hotel we saw that Nob Hill had been rated over 3 stars, for the price, there was no way we were going to pass it up. We get to the room and the manager is distracted in gossiping with another guest. Out of nowhere the manager says she is going to charge $25 to my credit card, mind you it says that nowhere on the paper I had to sign […] or on hotels.com. We go up to the room and the cigarrette stench was overwhelming. The room was being serviced so we couldn't even stay in the room they gave us to begin with. We get to room #2 and the WIFI is down. We then called the front desk where we received the worst attitude about getting it fixed. Overall, the stay was miserable. I have no idea why anyone would rate this hotel anything over a 2. The Nob Hill Motor Inn was the perfect place to stay while visiting San Francisco. The price, which included my car, was affordable. The room was quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Why say that you have breakfast in the morning and have instant coffee. It would be better not to have. Also they say they have HBO it only comes on at weird times and they can't tell you when. Just don't have it. Parking is tight but doable. Have stayed three times.

Room was single king and was very large, clean and comfortable. Free parking is huge and you can walk to many wonderful different local neighborhoods or catch a cab or trolley which is still cheaper and easier then driving and parking in San Francisco. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was surprisingly pleasant for the price. I had the standard full size bed, it had a nice little fridge and microwave and a really nice flat screen TV mounted up on the wall in front of the bed. The room was clean and no funky smells in my room as some of the reviews said. I didn't bother with the continental breakfast , so can't really critique […] it but the office area is really small so I'm sure it's not much. the parking is tight spaces but manageable, and lets not forget FREE which is rare in SF. The area of the hotel was conveniently located close to Walgreens or CVS and there were Peet's Coffee and Starbucks close by as well as other places to eat and drink a short walk away. Really helpful staff, lots of helpful local knowledge. Great location away from tourist sites but near enough to everything. Shame about breakfast, good if your diet is only doughnuts and pastries. Overall really good 3 nights. Highly recommended.

Everything was great. I expected a lot less for what I paid (didn't want to spend much, since I was in SF for a medical appointment and just needed a bed). My only complaint is the room smelled a bit when I walked in, maybe the carpets need shampooing more often. Very clean and surprisingly quiet.

Booked the family suite 4 months ahead of time so 3 couples could stay together for New Years/my birthday. When we arrived to check in the front desk lady informed us they gave our room to someone else. She said we could stay at their sister property on the other side of san Francisco, completely ridiculous. We booked this hotel because it was down […] the street from our New Years venue. So they gave us 2 rooms next to each other. We went to grab a blanket from the closet and some black panties flew out when we opened the blanket, disgusting! There was hair on the towels from someone else, they wouldn't let us check out at noon instead of 11, they wouldn't let us pay to have another car over night, but then let another guest do it... I booked online! Easy to find, When i arrived inside parking was great , lots of help from the staff, My room was in a good location. A little older but clean. I had to go to the UOP Dental School the following day it was close, I walked. Free Parking was great. Great restaurants close by. I would go back in the future.

My stay was fine. Rooms are motel-style. I liked the free internet, the free pastries/fruit available in lobby in morning, the easy in-and-out access. The room was clean and the shower was warm. Bed was OK (not great), pillows were lousy. No good chair to sit and work.

comfortable hotel in a good location just off of Polk street. Lots of shops, restaurant s, etc . Rate was very good over Thabksgiving, but I checked rates at same motel end of September and they were HIgh !!! San Francisco rates fluctuate with the season in a big way.

We stayed for eight nights at the Nob Hill Motor Inn. I was a bit skeptical about the hotel initially. Our stay was fantastic. While it is true about previous reviews concerning tight parking spaces and a VERY limited continental breakfast, we were very pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was during our entire stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable […] and there was available parking available at no additional cost. The hotel is only two blocks from the neareast cable car and is a very short distance to Fisherman's Wharf. The staff was very helpful. it is terrible exprience to stay at this so call hotel. the carpet is nasty that make you not like putting your feet on it. the washroom is an antique washroom. you don't feel like taking a bath in there but you are forced to do so. overall it is a horrible place to stay.

This motel was basic but fine for an overnight stop over. Reasonable location, and not far from downtown SF. Breakfast was very minimal and was really just coffee and a pastry, at reception. Friendly staff.
